If we don't get any news this month than I think it's safe to assume its been pushed to next year, no way they'd want pokemon to have any competition for the holidays.
If we don't get any news this month than I think it's safe to assume its been pushed to next year...
I want to fuck this rabbit.
They'll just release it early October.
It's coming out in 2020. It wasn't in the last direct, and no AC focused direct is in sight. So it will be shown at E3 2019 but released Spring 2020 or something like that. I know AC has risen above the IP ranks in recent years but it still cannot scratch the juggernaut that is Sword and Shield. You do not fuck with Pokemon. You just don't.
I could have told you it's not coming out this year the day they released it. They rarely meet deadlines for their mainline games.
Botw
Yoshi
Metroid
Fine emblem
All delayed to hell and back
Announced not released**
I mean, wouldn't you want the game to have as much time as it needs, to be as decent as it can be? Even if it is "done," possibly, they can polish it up more.
yea shut up
Yes I want the game to be finished and polished but why not just have the teaser with no date attached? Nintendo does this to themselves
I really hope they put that date because they were confident they were almost done with the game and will mostly spend most of the year hyping it up, I can't live without this game much longer
ITT retards
>DURR NINTENDO SAID ITS COMING OUT THIS YEAR SO IT MUST BE TRUE
The only retard in this thread is you. Already people have proven you wrong for your furfag thirstiness by providing many examples of Nintendo announcing shit that is clearly not ready to go.
Animal Crossing games are relatively easy to make than those other ones, though. I can't foresee any reason why this would be delayed.
>Animal Crossing games are relatively easy to make than those other ones, though.
Yeah thats why we get a new mainline AC game every year right? Even though each entry takes like 3 to 4 years to come out, and even then the wait from New Leaf to Switch has been almost 8 years?
You seem to be underestimating the metric fuckton of text dialogue that has to get localized. Hell Japan got New Leaf first in 2012, we got fucked and had to wait an entire year. I would not be surprised if its getting delayed to 2020 to meet their new global release standards. Unless you want this shit in moonrunes by 2019.
>8 years
Such as? Because when a game is delayed they outright say it is. It's literally still April. God you sound like a retarded smashfag.
Only animal crossing game I played was wild world
Can't wait for this one to come out
>and even then the wait from New Leaf to Switch has been almost 8 years?
Yes, and during that time we've had the Welcome amiibo update for New Leaf, amiibo Festival and Pocket Camp, which is what the AC team presumably were working on.
I wonder why they're being so quiet about this. Every AC game prior had gameplay footage upon announcement. This sort of mysterious "Show the logo and that's it" approach Nintendo has been taking recently doesn't really lend well to a game like AC.
Plus keep in mind that we had gameplay footage of NL a good 2/3 years before it actually came out. This game is supposed to come out this year and there's absolutely nothing. I'm not sure whether to be concerned or to expect huge changes that will blow everyone away.
got a switch yesterday. i hope tetris can hold me over until the only 2 games i want to play come out (ac and mario maker)
NL is already practically timeless, but i can not wait for the features of HHD to make it to a full game. it'll be incredible
>over 300 villagers
>over 4000 items
>bugs, fish, fossil, art
>lines and lines of dialogue
>new features every game
>each one has more than the last
>need program and plan out a full year cycle
>probably planning out future events as well
>online features
>most likely getting new graphics
ez
>lines and lines of dialogue
the only incorrect statement and the only feature they hardly attempt to add onto with each release
Oh, and Happy Home Designer.
Most of which they already have assets of, and just need a graphical upgrade.
well to be fair, maybe this is an intentional new marketing strategy. Maybe Nintendo has noticed that just showing the logo and saying the game is on the way has fans keeping the hype alive themselves and talking about the game, basically free advertising
Well I dunno man, I'd say New Leaf was an exception rather than a rule since the series went from a Console to a Handheld, they lost a lot of power and had to cut down on something for all the improvements they did probably
Not a fan. Do like fallout 4 and just blow out info 6 months or so before release. This teaser shit in the same year it's released is just going against them until they show everything off. Just look how rabid the AC fans are on Twitter and YouTube comments
I don't think Nintendo gives a single fuck about rancid fans. Just wait and be patient. Smash was announced and released in around the same time span.
The animal crossing team didnt work on pocket camp, NDcube did.
But we got actual info on Smash just three months after it was announced. Meanwhile it's been nearly seven months with absolutely nothing in regards to AC.
They might be doing something new with the franchise.
We got substantial info and a concrete release date soon after that though.
I mean the wiiu is likely the reason we had to wait 8 years
>ac team makes splatoon
>makes the amiibo game at Nintendo’s request, it fucking bombs to no ones surprise
>at this point Nintendo realizes the wiiu is a failure and has them work on splatoon 2 to sell their next console
>they finish splatoon and are now free to make animal crossing a billion years later
Because E3 was right around the corner. Literally the only reason they showed Animal Crossing when they did is because it coincided nicely with the Isabelle announcement.
If they dont show the game at E3 then its probably likely that it will be delayed.
makes sense since pocket camp was basically 80% reused new leaf assets
Right because making new textures doesn't require any work at all.
They already have models and textures for the main NPCs and a really good chunk of the villagers because of amiibo Festival and that Plaza thing on the WiiU, though.
Plaza was just New Leaf's models with higher quality textures.
I highly doubt that it will be a drastically different game than the rest of the main AC games.
Upgrading textures won't require as much work as making them from scratch will.
They literally released the last pokemon game 22 days before Smash. They don't give a shit, they know it will sell
We just got through the first quarter of the year, you impatient fuck.
Didn't New Leaf come out like a month before X and Y?
>than
fucking mongrel
I wonder if they'll just make you the mayor again.
