Isn't that when the toon ended and their fanbase died down? Be happy your toon had so many good games. Real Ghostbusters never even had one.

3D doesn't work for these games.

Because the franchise fell out of the public consciousness due to Power Rangers burying it for a time. It didn't spring back until the 4Kids version in 2003.

did the revival even get a full video game?
all i remember where some bargain bin handheld game

Konami made a few for the PS2/GC/Xbox era but they were all pretty mediocre.

Interest in the Turtles waned around that time. Truth be told I don't think it has since gotten to that level again.

>teenage mutant hero turtles
uh

People who weren't around for the height of Turtlemania can't comprehend at how fucking big it actually was from around 88 to 92.

I had a really good time with that TMNT game that released in the GC/PS2/OXbox.
Forgot the name but you also traveled between time and had co-op up to 4 players.

I think maybe Pokemon when it was new is a serviceable comparison

There were three of them.

turtles in time?

Yeah actually. About equal since both were in your face 24/7 even if you weren't actively seeking them out.

found it

1997 was the last year for them.

Well, technically there was Next Mutation, but fuck that.

And use the arcade version as a base. It was dead before it began.

>that dude who picks Leonardo

Yikes, Raph or bust

That reminded me that Leo and Raph got fucked over in the original 4 player arcade cabinets since they had to play at an angle compared to Mike and Don. Most arcades back then didn't even bother to make it so the players using those sticks could play comfortably either and had the machine jammed against other cabinets.
Same thing with Marge and Lisa on the Simpsons machines, but nobody wanted to play those two unless forced anyway.
