Only thing they FUBAR in 1 is Twilight Harbor.
2 and 3 are more of a mixed bag, though I feel the original art direction in 2 was strong/cohesive enough that even the more questionable TFB redesigns weren't enough to destroy the SOUL. The original 3 was already kind of a hodgepodge of random shit, so the remake doubling down on that front via outsourcing and rushing things is far more noticeable.
