Do you sometimes regret all the time you've spent playing videogames and instead wish you'd have done something productive with your life?

Episode 1 & 2 were good, but the execution of the story afterwards was horrible & disappointed me greatly. I was on Yea Forums when you guys were freaking out about the game after the first 2 episodes.
TLDR: Wasted potential, but the porn it gave us was worth it

I think the Kate suicide got the game the wrong fans, and then the devs started listening to them. Which is why it immediately devolved into silly conspiracies and lesbians pretty much directly afterwards.

Episode 3 and 4 were pretty good IMO, the puzzles and the focus of messing around using your powers was kino, also it's the two episodes where the actions are most meaningful other than episode 2 with kate.
Episode 5 was really weird because it just kept jumping from really cool to a fucking trash heap

Debatable, i understand how you feel but the execution of the Rachel Amber twist was terrible & everything in Episode 5 was even worse. We had so many fucking theories about the bunker, lady behind the diner & how Max got her Time Travel powers. It's kind a like The Last Jedi in a way. So many interesting theories & ways it could have been amazing, but they ultimately fucked up

It had so much potential, it felt forced, rushed and out of place, there could've been sequels like in TWD but no they had to jinx it, at least we all know the bae ending is canon

Call me a fag but a coming of age story for a teenage girl in the pacific northwest would be kino. Of course in order to avoid the garbage heap of 'literature' that mid-30s married woman flock to like that book about bees and the one about the color purple. It could have elements of magical realism with pacific native american influence. Or do like Hellblade did and have her experience psychotic breakdowns while trying to maintain a normal lifestyle. Anything but a murder mystery or conspiracy, that horse has been beaten to death and beaten some more for good measure in recent media. Throw some Bully in there and maybe a little Kholat but with windigos.

Idk I played recently, that is 4 years after it came out, from beginning to end in 1 sitting and I didn't notice this difference, I enjoyed it. As a single experience is good, the episodic partition was a mistake imo.

When I tell my friends about this game, I recommend it with the caveat that you play until the part where the game first asks you to move the control sticks to focus the picture. At that moment, put it down and imagine your own ending. Giving Max the ability to travel more than a few minutes back in time completely fucked the story.

What makes it dumb?
I've heard people complain about the fact that they're walking on the tracks to begin with. And while that is a dangerous thing to do, it's a reality that many kids do it.

I've heard people question how she got her foot stuck in the first place. Well, it was stuck in the part of the track that switches. So it must have clamped down. There are multiple ways to save Chloe. It's possible you haven't seen this, but you can actually pull the switch that releases the clamp on her foot.

Pretty consistent, makes sense. Simply a matter of different preferences I'd say. And I still have a huge backlog, SMB3 may go up there when I finish it and that's the first 2D Mario game I play.

I have to replay MGR to rate it but it's great, I can't play any fighting game competently but I admire Third Strike. Haven't played the rest, interesting mix though.

You can only really go so far when button mashing in those kinds of games, and plus the gameplay is just a medium of what the real fun is, making swiss cheese out of evil robot mutant as a literal white haired cyborg ninja, or turning demons into honeycombs as "The Legendary Demon Hunter"
