Why aren't you playing openMW + Tamriel Rebuilt + tes3mp right now?
Morrowind threas
I want openMW to be fully finished, polished, stable, and for the first true gameplay/leveling overhaul mods to come out of it.
Its more stable and polished than the base game.
because I've nobody to play with
Morrowind is bland
What does this has besides graphics and bugfixing?
Because
>Shadows are not yet re-implemented
Yearly reminder.
No distant land fog
No grass
No new MWSE mod support
No shadows in stable
No reason to play OpenMW
OpenMW runs on a completely new engine.
That means modders that reshape the game in anyw ay they want without having to use weird and complicated workarounds, that's the main aim of this entire project.
Have the game be stable, fixed bugs, and allow for extensive modding that is natively compatible with the new engine instead of having to do crazy janky shit to make it work.
Balmora more like Blandmora.
>No new MWSE mod support
That won't be needed, it's the entire point you brainlet.
It is needed because they dont implement their own any time soon. Its a after 1.0 launch outlook feature that they maybe, possibly will get to
I lost my modded Morrowind files years ago, and am still pretty bummed by it. It would take me months, to barely recreate what I did with my original install. But man, I would love to come back one day.
I am, having a blast with my friends. How many do you play with?
well, are there still modders for this game? And are the old mods even compatible with OpenMW?
Waiting for Skywind
Because I played it 15 years ago.
I don't think tamriel rebuilt and tes3mp existed 15 years ago, user
Morrowind modding is surprisingly healthy these years. And no, not all mods are compatible
Why doesn't Todd just drop gamebryo and uses OpenMW instead?
>well, are there still modders for this game?
Yes, they never stopped.
>And are the old mods even compatible with OpenMW?
No, not all of them, this project is a work in progress and it's taking years.
is it possible to make them compatible with OpenMW, because there were a lot of good Morrowind mods out there, and losing all them is kinda harsh.
Bacause it runs like absolute donkey shit in its current state, i play metro exodus witg higher fps
All mods that dont use 3rd part software or change the morrowidn.exe works
yea, I believe openMW allows/will allow for better modding even through their api
openMW aims to support .esm and .esp stuff just like the native game does
tamriel rebuilt will never ever EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER be finished and i refuse to play it until it's finished
Out of the box? Nothing else. But it is far more stable when adding mods, and lets impossible things be done, like tes3mp and the weapon sheathing mod.
They are in the nightly build.
The weapon sheating only works by chance. All the really innovative mods that came out in 2018 were thanks to MWSE 2.1 and do not work in OpenMW
We have 4 on our server.
Im looking forward to seeing openmw modding really kick off. Id like to see a silk strider mod that actually has a proper walking animation that can conform to terrain
I'm currently making new meshes for Indoril armor. I plant to eventually make an ordinator faction with quests in Vivec, Mournhold, and Necrom.
This project has been going on since 2008.
ENTIRE GENERATIONS of people on Yea Forums have joined this board, and then left, and then came back multiple times.
It existed before you, it shall continue to exist after you.
Rushing it's full release and features that you want won't make any difference.
It's a monumental, decade spanning effort and it'll be done when it's done.
Eventually everyone will ONLY play this when they want to play Morrowind, but it's gonna take years before that will be the case.
It's slow, but rest assured it's inevitable.
the amount of people alive that still want to play morrowind when 1.0 finally drops is going to be about 4
>not downloading the current release and going on at least a sightseeing tour
Port Telvanis alone is a maze and don't get me started on the Necron catacombs
>This project has been going on since 2008.
>ENTIRE GENERATIONS of people on Yea Forums have joined this board, and then left, and then came back multiple times.
>tfw I'm here from early 04 till this day
In my day we didn't even have a video game board
