it was the best Nier
which version should i play?
is english patch for replicant any good?
Taro considers Brother Nier to be the canon Nier.
It's also the only version that has additional backstory in the Grimoire Nier (read this after you've finished the game):

However, Nier Automata retroactively makes both Brother and Father Nier canon at the same time to silence the never-ending shitstorm surrounding this particular subject in the fandom.
You will see just about every possible opinion on this one. Just do whatever you want
I think I'm gonna replay this game again
For like the fourth time
Both father and brother nier are canon, but only brother beating the shadowlord is canon, not father.
Replicant
Post kainé
Underappreciated.
No stop trying to turn this into an automata thread with garbage waifu posting.
Replicant, but don't expect the english patch to be good. It's basically just brother/father and sister/daughter swap.
The game was good.
The framerate wasn't.
>people that like brother nier over papa nier
>The framerate wasn't.
That was Drakengard 3
Based & Redpilled
I miss games having small "useless" details like this, you see it less and less
Here come the brainlets.

>tfw remembered the lighthouse lady
I hate Nier threads.

Where did this happen in Automata?
Nier sidequests weren't as bad as many people told me they were. Majority of them were connected to each other and dropped lots of hints foreshadowing game's twist.
Weapon stories, brother is mentioned in one while father is mentioned in another
I think I played through 2 or 3 endings but remember so little about this game. Killing sheep, some 'dungeon' with robot enemies, the town getting attacked by a giant shadow, Kaine's home with the long walkways or something, masked people in the desert. Nothing else.
I sort of remember that larger town with the fishing. Was relaxing.
Nier is one of the few games that does genre shifts whilst still staying enjoyable all the way through, I even liked the text adventure. I usually have no patience for JRPG shit either, but the story and setting were pretty engaging. I only played through it once.
do it again
they only require you to do the second half of the game for the other endings
Don't forget multi-track drifting with the boar.
I would, but I just started Automata having not played it before. I'll go back to Nier after.
Replicant is better. Lots of story elements make no sense with Papa.
He's objectively better.
Only thing that doesn't make sense is Papa NieR going "WE'RE FRIENDS NOW"
Why was Nier's OST so fucking good? Not even Automata's could surpass it and it had a much higher budget.

Replicant doesn't have the english voice for grimoire weiss which makes it objectively worse.
the only reason you like the brother is because of the futa as he is more feminine
And the timeskip

>People that like grandpa nier over based fuckboy nier
My brother of afro-american descent
based.
Tomato's was too overproduced at times imo and a lot of it felt like a retread.
no butt no care
