No. I don't get why people play Borderlands 2 over Borderlands 1. The first one has just much better style and atmosphere. 2 is way too "clean" and "comedic"

2 went overboard with the humour. I was playing it again recently with a friend and the dialogue was so fucking cringe-worthy.

I wish I could like her but no.

Way more content, more enemy variety, environment variety, actual difficulty at endgame, much better skill trees and more characters, faster paced combat.

Gaige is the most OP character in the game but not the best for a first play. gunserker is a good class.

I finally bought her game a few days ago. Was gonna buy a physical copy, but Microsoft discounted it heavily.

same. played Maya and Gaige back then. hated Maya since she was more of a "support" character and her ability was useless against bigger enemies. Gaige is broken since you can just stack up anarchy and have the skill that makes her aim shit but the bullets hits anyway since they bouncing everywhere.

playing as kreig right now and its pretty fun. its only annoying when i fight against enemies with armory since kreigs hole gimmick is to set everything on fire and fire is shit against armory.

half the time i use his ability (admittedly im like level 8) i get fucking raped and just die

What's weird is her original appearance before release had way more vibrant colors but they washed it out on release. her "Girl from the moon" head gives her the original bright red hair she was supposed to come with.

Every other Vault Hunter has experienced massive amounts of violence and pain through their life but Gaige is a literal school girl so her reaction to pain being her screaming makes a lot of sense.

Just grab that skill that lets you self ignite off other elemental attacks and melt shit with corrosive, you still get a lot of bugs if you're specced right

The fucked thing is, I would rather play as them then the MCs we have now.

2 has some good points, granted. Way, way better playable characters and skill trees. Way better level designs.

But the loot, which is like 60% of the appeal, got hamstrung something fierce in the transition from 1 to 2. S&S, Atlas, and Eridian just disappeared (Pour some out for S&S best guns). What did we get in their place? Bandit, which kept the mag size of S&S but lost all the accuracy and damage. And they looked like shit. Oh, and E-tech weapons which are actually 90% shit ammo wasters.

We lost weapon types on top of manufacturers getting restricted from what weapon types they could generate. Rip hyperion assault rifles. Rip torgue snipers.

And on top of THAT, explosive went from being a great element to a gimmick ammo thereby making almost all torgue weapons worse and anything spawning with a torgue barrel worse.

And under the hood further, there are just less options in weapon generation. Less parts are available even before the gimmicks and restriction types get bundled in. This all means that there are significantly less guns in 2 than there are 1. And that's awful.

Don't even get me started about slag, elements nerfed in general, and the full retard damage/hp scaling that makes guns obsolete in a few levels no matter how lucky your part rolls were.
