This was the peak of the series. It all went downhill after this moment.

Not quite. Billy Zane Ansem kino was the true peak.

so how do they explain the other keyblades you get in the game before you reach that cutscene?

Those aren't other keyblades, they're merely skins for the kingdom key.

The fuck are you talking about
You get keychains
you know what keychain is?

Attached: ekm002-mermaid-keychain.jpg (1170x1248, 54K)

Alternatively, Riku took all of them and they're in his inventory.

>Nomura is a hack writer

No, really?

He was right.

>find out I missed the red trinity in Halloween Town
>I'm playing the original version where it doesn't show up again

Riku was proven wrong in the same game, you dithering idiots. Ansem had a keyblade and so did Mickey.

Why?

He's talking about the special keyblade Sora has. It's what separates Sora from the other keyblade masters, he has like a special chosen one.

It didn't do anything that Mickey's keyblade didn't also do.

no, the peak was ansem's reveal after reading the secret reports. It was the only time the story in this series was respectable, then there was a HUGE slide down after

mickey has a keyblade

It’s exactly the same as the one Mickey has in the ending, both in appearance and powers. The only difference is that they are color inversions of each other.

This will forever haunt me as an adult.

this shit happened to me too but it doesnt give you anything all that significant

Yeah but that is after that scene.

It's special in the sense it only follows the true keyblade master or whatever, which is Sora. I remember they explained it in one of the games.

Anyone else here that didn't play CoM and jumped straight into KH2? I was so fucking confused when the game went from charming FFxDisney adventure game to fujoshi bait OC central.

Attached: Spoiler Image.png (100x100, 209)

thing is sora isn't the true keyblade master. Or maybe he is now. Who knows, I doubt Nomura knows either

KH2 is a clusterfuck of confusion regardless of if you played CoM or not. It took future games to (poorly) explain shit

What exactly is confusing about KH2?

Franchise would never have grown if it kept being just disney generic shit in KH1, just see how boring KH3 was without all the OC until the last world

CoM only explains why Sora was in the pod, it didn't really explain any of the other shit.

Honestly I don't remember since it's been so long and information is warped with the sequels, but I remember playing it and being bewildered at several aspects despite having played 1/CoM before it. One of the things I'm still confused about is how Ansem is Xemnas's heartless counterpart but no one else has something like this

der wuz more den wan keyblade wtf nomura is a hack

>Franchise would never have grown if it kept being just disney generic shit in KH1
I disagree. If they had worked harder on mixing FF stuff outside of Nomura's titles with Disney, it would've been much more successful and coherent.

franchise would have been a lot better if it was just ansem teaming up with disney and Square villains. Imagine Grahf crashing the big hero 6 world with his mech saying he teamed up with ansem for darkness and power or some shit, would have been way cooler than faggot in a black robe #34

It introduces the organization as well as showing how half of them got killed off, explains why everybody lost their memories, elaborates about why Riku got possessed by Ansem as well as giving him and Mickey a lot of character development, and not to mention the amount of development it does for Sora's character. Sora has the most personality he'll ever have in CoM.

Darkness

Any Brainlets as a kid here?

I can't believe I played KH1 without using summons and using gravity and stop. Also using the gummis makes the minigame way more easy and enjoyable.

Also, I'm playing Proud for the first time for 1.5. Tinker Bell is a god damn life saver.

Attached: smug anime boy.png (1212x970, 1.18M)

KH2 without CoM is kino. You spend the first 2 hours of the game with it vaguely implying that Sora's adventures may have just been a dream this kid was having. Then when you get out of cryo, Sora's just as confused as the player.

>You spend the first 2 hours of the game with it vaguely implying that Sora's adventures may have just been a dream this kid was having
emphasis on "vaguely" and """implying"""

The funniest part is that you can still get the treasure that was behind it.

Kingdom Hearts II is poorly written, but I don't think it was too confusing. Mainly, there are just a lot of baffling writing decisions.

Like making it ridiculously obvious at the start of the game that Ansem is Riku but then playing coy about it for the rest of the game.

No now there’s just 2000

>we will never have a Kingdom Hearts game like this

Just fucking kill me.

Data Sora in Re:Coded had a good personality. Before the amnesia.

Imagine getting Wayne Allwine to play Mickey Mouse and voice him swearing vengeance on the forces of darkness for killing Goofy.

Fuck Nomura.

*sinister shadows begins playing*

Jeez, user, even I used Tinker Bell as a kid.

I can't believe Goofy died.

WHO'S THE FUCKING MOUSE WITH THE BIGGEST FATTEST COCK?
M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E

It was Vim and Vigor, though.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

>Treasure Planet world
>Starts with Sora's group getting into an argument about world order and Sora losing himself in his fantasies about experiencing different worlds and lifestyles
>Gets enamored with being a pirate
>Runs away with Zidane's crew while Donald and Goofy get captured and forced to work alongside Long John Silver

>Sword in the Stone World
>Steiner part of the rabble of knights in King Arthur's Court, Kefka is working closely with the Disney villain masquerading as the court jester

KH was always really fucking dumb about giving any hints as to what options do. It all starts with not even being able to see how abilities actual effect your combos without hitting enemies

imagine exdeath hanging out w/ maleficent

WOW I HAVE TO FIGHT TO LEARN HOW TO FIGHT SHIT GAME

>Maleficent grows that forest of thorns to impede Sora and Co.
>midway through, Exdeath just comes out from among the thorns and fights the party

kek

most games let you see what your moves do without having to be in an actual fight. Considering certain moves activate in retarded ways like "standing x meters away from enemy" or "with X number of enemies around," the only way to see how any abilities actually change your combo is to go into fights and guess

I can't think of any game before 2006 that let me see what moves do before I purchased the skill, personally.

dmc3 came out in 2004

Oh, I remember that. I thought it was the sickest shit and a big lifesaver.

its not as big of an issue in games where moves aren't contextual and can be performed at any time. Stick out like a sore thumb in a game where you'll only ever see a move for the first time when you've equipped enough combo + or got to a finisher the correct distance from the correct number of enemies

Just beat 1.5 Proud for the first time, going to play 2.5 Proud after CoM? Should I use shield and sacrifice sword like 1.5?

Attached: 1518664871124.jpg (4800x2700, 2.11M)

personally I chose sword and sacrificed wand so I could get combo skills earlier

fpbp

>Sora will never milk your penis

good because i'm not gay and/or a criminal

based
i was totally smitten with how 2's prologue played out only having played kh1

The KH2 outfit seems like it was wasted.

>"Here are some new clothes Sora."
>"Now never use them again after KH2."
>"Not even in the game before KH3."

>b-but Mickey though.
So he is special. Mickey's Kingdom Key is the representation for the entire realm of darkness, Sora's is for the realm of light. Seems way more important than a hand me down born from a person's heart.

the only time sora has ever retained his outfit was com
in 4 you can bet he'll have another outfit and we won't be able to swap to the old ones AND it will probably has some meme aesthetic like zippers/belts/plaid
