Rockstar would be the best if they actually made more than one game this gen. But RDR 2 alone is better than most western studios entire output the past few years, for sure. RDR 2 is nowhere near perfect but god damn if it isn't ambitious as fuck. You can just tell that the Housers had a vision and they didn't compromise on it. The game doesn't follow trends, it just does its own thing and I love it for that. Also, it's one hell of a story. I usually dislike overly cinematic games but that's mainly because 99% of the time the writing is awful, so it all goes to waste. RDR 2 is genuinely really, really great. Even as a movie, it'd be a top notch western.
