High Court Enforcement Officers, kinda like bailiffs in the US, they collect on debts and can force entry to a property and seize items to pay the debt

If you're watching it for violence, sorry to disappoint but it rarely ever gets that far, violence and entry by force are the last resort rather than the first, if you want that you're better off with american cop shows

I'm always amazed by how they go after these people knowing full way their going to be violent, but some how always managed to never swing a fist. I had to check if the show was fake, but then I remembered I was looking at it with an American perspective. Try that in America and it would be nothing but violence.

I'm sort of envious at how civil the debt collectors are. I had to deal with my dead beat brothers debt collectors harassment for years until I moved out.

Yeah, I guess commission based jobs do make you actually want to do your job proficiently. I don't live in England but it looks like those bailiffs must have a high recovery rate.

we had our fair share of aggressive debt collectors here too, these ones are employed by the government, the private sector ones(especially the ones who worked for high-interest short-term "payday loan" companies) use to harass just like yours did
