Is this game good now? Mob behavior felt unreliable at launch and I heard they lost the will to do the kind if strange shit that made RO so interesting in favour of bog standard MMO stuff.

Only way to get cool shit, is either gamble hundreds of dollars for the cool new item every 2 weeks, or no life neet like 12 hours a day so you can make at least 300m every 2 weeks and buy the latest shit from some whale.

On top of that the daily event that rewards you about 4m in blessed gems doesn't work half the time, randomly kicks you, and it's controlled by the giant Brazilian guild that has every neet and whale in the server together.

I'd play this game if it wasn't for the fact that you can fuck up your build so much and it forces you to start over from scratch. In an MMORPG that can mean a lot of hours that I don't have anymore.

Last I heard you could only do that with an item that you had to pay real money for? I think they also gave it out after balance changes.

You can now change a whole class "for free" it takes a moderate amount of time to earn enough points to do it, but it's not that bad. Also every job is now available from your first rank up selection (except from hidden classes, which are mostly shit anyways), so it doesn't take too long to test them all the way to third circle before making up your mind on which full build to main. There's also events that give you reset points and stuff like that very often, and the meta is not that difficult to follow so making a shit build is actually harder nowadays.

I'm saying this as a person that has quit the game recently, I left because I'm too annoyed by performance bugs and burned out from doing events, and not farming enough to buy the items I want. But the whole class building right now is not that restrictive, and a lot of classes became at least viable to play if you're not 100% tryhard autist, and you are desperate for min/max, the top builds are already set in stone for you to copy.

It just means the toll is sometimes subsidized, if you log in every day and participate in the events like a good boy. I'm not gonna play a game that sells itself on its freedom of builds while also giving you no freedom to experiment (unless you pay up).

Skill resets are fairly common now from events
Game has many problems but fixing own build mistakes isn't one

does this game still run like shit? like getting less than 60fps on a i7 and gtx 1070

it takes less than 30 minutes to test a class, all you need to do is gather all the exploration goals from the first few maps that are account wide, and now you can level a character from 1 to about 70 without doing much by spamming exp cards, this allows you to reach 3rd circle of almost any class and fuck up all you want. If investing like 2 hours to test builds it's too much I don't know what you're trying to do by playing an mmo.

Class building hasn't been really an issue since rebuild, if you're going to make an argument about the game being broken complain about the gacha to earn millions easily, or the stupid level up packages, and how idiots with diamons anvils managed to get their weapons to +25 and you'll never even be close to touching them. Game is fucked, but experimenting with classes it's not hard at all nor requires any money unless you're a dumb whale who would rather waste $30 than spend 30 minutes leveling a character with cards and trying out skills.

Man I loved this game in beta. I remember grinding demon prison endlessly and saving EXP cards to skip that one level gap.

they fixed a lot of the fps issules, I can run the game in even gvg without slow down these days.
just make sure they you have your video drivers updated and a fresh copy of the game when you play again that's all
