Conan Exiles

I know this game was quite shitty ass back when it was released, but it went for "free" in PS4 so I went and installed it. I noticed that it has a really cool map and shit, PC graphic are way more interesting than PS4 for obvious reasons.

How come this game is barely talked about in the internet? Even single-player works well with the Thrall system.

bump

Complete dogshit gameplay.

I think it's an excellent game going in blind, i love survival crafting games though they're my fetish. I love the progression, the dnd style dungeons but bosses suck ass because they were designed for multiple people like a raid. The inflated health pools are ridiculous and attacks you can't dodge are even more so. Discovering things and exploring are 10/10 thought and i get a lot of satisfaction from building functional bases. Multiplayer can get fucked single player is fun. I just died to the first dungeon slug/worm boss and that killed my motivation because i lost all my iron tools and i don't feel like farming again. Just my thoughts on the game.

It's not that bad desu you just have to adjust to it

PVP is still retarded with everyone using daggers and spears stacking bleed. So avoid thst. Pve is pretty nice though, and building is pretty well refined compared to other survival crafting games.

Ona side note the dungeon and world design is pretty genius and iv'e never seen anyone talk about it. Contextual clues are everywhere, its refreshing.

not him but it is complete dogshit. I love conan and the setting, but it is terrible

I am just playing PvE solo in PS4 while I wait for a sale on Steam, I didn't dare to play online servers because the combat system looks abusive.

But the admin stuff is also great because I hate huge grinding and it allows me to mediate time between exploring nad doing stuff easier.

Multiplayer is ass iv'e played on both ps4 and pc and i prefer ps4. The game runs like ass on pc even with a mid-high tier one. I just wish there was split screen or local coop this game would be perfect for it.

It;s terrible with kb+m but on a pad it's not that bad, enemies stagger and hit boxes are pretty clean except for the inevitable unavoidable projectiles. It's not the best by any standard but it's not the worst.

I think it will run fine on my pc, PS4 looks quite ugly ( maybe PS4 Pro looks better ) and the aiming sensivity keeps going back to default no matter what I do and I really wanted to use Bows properly.

Bought the game on pc to mod it, doesn't load with more than a couple mods installed, can't refund cause played more than two hours while testing mods.

Shit game.

sorry mate but it has nothing to do with the controls, its just mechanically terrible. its skyrim tier with worse feedback

Why does Yea Forums have a general distaste for survival crafting games?

Sounds like you need to git gud i understand, a certain autism is required to like jank games

I think I know what he means, I started playing it a while on PS4 and suffered with teh combat system.

>normal attack + heavy attack, roll to not get hit, safely kill enemy only doing this
>attempt a full combo because the enemy looks stunned, suddenly he start an attack animation and almost kill me
It fucking sucks but everything else is looking good

I want pc version because of Conan Sexiles mod so that I could play comfy in solo games. And it looks better anyway

I think it's fun cheesing enemies and figuring out how best to work around it but like i said it's not the best. I just came from a week long outward binge and this is bloodborne compared to that.

I have no trouble with it, I just don't find it enjoyable at all

I got this on the free weekend thinking it was going to be shit going by the reviews but it ended up being one of my favorite games of all time.

To me it has building/crafting like Terraria/Minecraft, a cool balanced weapon/armor system like Souls, exploration and climbing like BOTW, and a really nice environment like Elder Scrolls. On top of this it's online with proximity mic and pretty cool communities from what I experienced. I was shocked to find out a dream game like this existed.

I play mainly on pve-conflict official servers but I'd say the combat is what irks people. I find it similar to Terraria/Minecraft where it's pretty basic stuff but with the different weapon types and combos I still personally enjoy it a lot more especially after I got used to the slight attack delay when playing online.

Truly a gem of a game and one I strongly recommend.

I’m going to get it for PS+. I want to like it a lot, Conan is a really good fantasy setting.

I wanted to use that and some other mods to fulfill my fantasy of living in a huge castle innadesert surrounded by brown slave girls in sexy outfits

Don't really care about the survival part of the game

Did yoiu try loverslab forum? they have other lewd mods that MAYBE could work with more mods

I uninstalled it to save hard drive space, and don't feel like mod troubleshooting now, figured i'll wait until a later date when there are more mods made and maybe the game will be updated to run with more installed.

It's Age of Conan assets put into an Ark clone.
Everything is 99% jank bullshit, look at a gameplay video showing the combat and AI and animations.

I got it through a humble monthly with no expectations but had a surprisingly great time playing it with some friends. The exploration and progression is pretty well done, there's a huge variety of locations and enemy types to keep things interesting. The BotW style climbing mechanics are really nice and there are a number of smaller quality of life things I really appreciate. Combat's a bit janky but thralls/animals allow you to faceroll everything and skip combat once you get them. Overall I really enjoyed the game and think it's one of the most fun co-op games out right now

No one talks about it because the devs fucked up big time and just walked away.

People were excited when the EA launch happened because it had a lot of potential, then months went by without the devs fixing gamebreaking bugs or addressing the hacker problems, they failed to implement promised features, and then started to introduce DLC and Microtransactions. In the end, everyone who bought the game got scammed. It's the classic EA business model.

Its actually still being worked on and is far better now than before. Still needs some work though but you can get some fun out of it.

I heard it was good for erp.
