I'm having fun. Why did people hate it when it came out back in 2008?

Ending was literally DLC.
It doesn't have an ending and most of the game is collecting orbs. The platforming is extremely on the rails too.
I had fun, even if it was ridiculously easy.
This. I literally have not played another game by Ubisoft for this very reason.
muh celshaded
Brown bitch was hot.
People wanted PoP, not this Uncharted shit with literally nathan drake
Warrior within is the best PoP game.
Fuck you fight me.
But we're on the same side
this is the correct answer. I'm gonna play WW now.
Dead Space 3 pulled the same thing. Pissed me off.
This is the one where you can literally not die. When you try to jump into chasms, the game saves you by throwing you back to the ledge. This was also the era of the cellshade kick game companies were all about so it received initially questioned players.
Not to mention, this is very, very far removed from the PoP trilogy from the PS2. I didn't like the departure to what this game was, and many others didn't either.
>playing Dead Space 3
spotted your mistake
Shit game, great prince design, deserved a better game
remember me?
It was fun, but it wasn't a Prince of Persia game.
The Holywood blockbuster tie-in starring Jake Gyllenhaal didn't do much to win people over either.
2008 was 11 years ago... I still have the Gameinformer that announced it...
Very underappreciated game and my favorite of that trilogy too. People wrote it off as too edgy and grimdark, but the game brought together the combat mechanics that SoT seriously lacked. Not to mention that the game is jam-packed with content to discover and multiple endings. Something that was somewhat rare back then.
It's the dingleberry cherry on the shit sundae that was the gameplay. Annoys me since aside from the awful romance triangle, I really liked the story and what it did for the setting. Even the co-op wasn't all that bad.
No, user. You're doing it wrong.
>Sands of Time for the novelty and engaging story
>Warrior Within for the fighting and weapons (too bad about the edgy treatment. Although I didn't care when I played it)
>The Two Thrones can go die in a fire. fuck QTEs
>Prince of Persia 3D for how unattainable it is: It's shit, but you want to play it because it doesn't run on modern PCs.
>Original PoP on the SNES for the additional content
>PoP 2 is nice too.
*blocks your path*
Huh, that artstyle still holds up. How expensive is it?
I picked it up for like 2-3 eurobucks on a steamsale years ago but never touched it until a day ago
Is it possible to unlock the framerate? I've got a 1440p/144hz monitor. Might be something to put on the backlog...
Yes
rape time
For a movie based on a video game, it honestly wasn't too bad.
>holds up
Just like the majority of video game movies, I enjoy it a whole lot more when I shut off the knowledge that it's from a video game that I played. It's an alright movie from that angle.
Unfortunately I really hate that nearly all video game movies don't even attempt to follow the plot from the game even though it would have worked perfectly fine for a movie idea. Everyone has to have their time in the sun, I suppose.
The parkour is a fucking joke compared to Sands of Time. The level design is trash because of how arbitrarily placed everything is.
It's okay, but shit it is a terrible follow up to the classic games. Well, you know what I mean by classic.
I think it caps out at 100, I only have a 1440p 75 hz screen so it doesnt bother me but there should be a way probably.
How is it possible that a 2008 celshaded game looks better than a more recent cell shaded game like BoTW?
scale
Sands of Time was peak of PoP.
I haven't tried forgotten sands though, I assume it's ass.
Sands of Time was a masterpiece (in its day). The followups just weren't as good.
Yes it's ass.
Yes, I liked it. JG is my celebrity man-crush.
Nah, normal ending was way better.
Elika being barefoot the whole game gave teenage me a footfetish.
Oops meant for
I actually forget, and I wanted to see this movie when it was new. I think I'll watch it soon
Ah, even 100FPS is fine really.
very simplistic, actual non-ending
the fact that you actually can't lose in any way is really stupid
that being said, i liked the basic premise
>camera zooms in alot on her feet during cutscenes
The director really knew what he was doing
why was every game in the prince of persia series a step down from sands of time in every way, thematically and gameplay wise?
Gonna need some screenshots, senpai. This will be another dick purchase.
I don't like WW but it was way better gameplay wise than SoT
