I know "BUT MUH PARSE" or whatever, but unless you are on a god like connection/using a class that can dps through heavy movement, you need to focus on dodging it. By just getting ready to move and them moving from the cross shaped one adter another, you will never get hit again.

I only ever see them doing that for the current modern server/client with a self-imposed level/expansion-pack lock, because doing a proper 75-cap era XI would be full of a fuckload of old exploits.

The game has been on a downward path for a while user, the fact that Shadowbringers looks to be a bigger reuse of assets than anything we've seen to the point that even one of the big features is literally "Replay the fetch quests you did long ago". Nothing in the Fanfest has shown any kind of evolution in regards to gameplay, dungeons will be the same, raids will be more glorified "Extremes" and the overworld will still be as dead as they continue to push "Exploration" content that seemingly ignores all previous feedback.

These designs were great. Detailed, good-looking, not overdesigned. The only good armor I can say XIV has are the first Dragoon and Ninja job armors. Everything else looks like its made of cosplay-quality materials and/or design.

Depends what your going for. If you want the armored Samurai look there's the Kabutos from events, or the Genji armor, and there's that coat they recently added from XI now, the Kirin's Osode.
If you want the unarmored look like the AF goes for, there's the Yanxian Merchant Haori from the Doma Enclave, or the far eastern smock from Gold Saucer.

I strongly believe no one liked the UNDYEABLE versions.
Casuals could never into savage to unlock the dyeable ones.

NIN was only a tank due to abusing the game's mechanics - it wasn't planned by the devs iirc. SAM isn't either - but they've been able to wear heavy armour throughout the series (unlike XIV where they wear light armour). DNC was a support which COULD heal - much like in XI (and it remains to be seen if DNC in XIV will be a more support oriented BRD). I agree with you on SMN, but honestly, the XIV team needs to expand on the demi concept and have it so you use those in your rotation (maybe Ifrit, Garuda, Titan, ending with Bahamut for 50, and then it expands past that?) where you call down egis and turn them into demis.

They already give you two free fantasias. One for subbing for 30 days, the other for beating ARR story. If you used them already then tough luck pay up.

The only free fantasia is the one you get from finishing the 2.0 MSQ. There was one in the Heavensward Collector's Edition but obviously you had to pay the extra cash to upgrade. Shadowbringers didn't even announce a fantasia in its Collector's Edition despite adding new races so don't hold your breath.

There is only one free fantasia. The 30 day sub one was changed to the ARR MSQ reward when they changed the veteran rewards system. Go check the current veteran rewards article on lodestone if you don't believe me.

The reason for the split is to mitigate the DDOS attacks by having less load.

DRG rarely gets unique sets anymore. For every new tier of armour they really only make maybe 3-4 actual sets worth of assets, then they just mix and match the various pieces to create the 7 different types of armour set in game.

Arcanist and its associated jobs just seem like big regrets by the devs. They want to get rid of pets because they can't do them correctly and in the case of SCH is one of the biggest reasons they are failing to balance it with the other healers.

No small surprise they floated puppetmaster and beastmaster as potential future limited jobs. They just can't be fucked to try and do it right after fucking up arcanist for so long. I guarantee you that if SMN hadn't made it into the game already it would also be on the list for limited jobs.

I don't use ACT but you're legitimately retarded if you think ACT can do anything on the level of DBM. You also have your fights datamined months ahead of time. WoW is casual babby bullshit for tablet players.

The hard part about FF fights is not knowing them, because your ACT timers trivialize them to a retarded degree. The hard part about WoW fights is actual coordination and multitasking, something you can't ever do in FF due to the insane latency on skills and animations.

Hell look at NG+ and Trusts, replaying old quests with the majority being fetch quests and repurposed squadron AI. What is actually new in ShB? Not many people use callouts with ACT. It's more of a dps meter. If anything WoW has a fuck ton of addons to trivialize certain mechanics.

The difference is that WoW bosses are designed around addons like DBM. There's a reason they don't go down immediately when a patch hits, but rather weeks and months after. ACT isn't something that's meant to be in FF, so it trivializes the game much more than DBM ever could in WoW.

Each time you summon a demi primal and they fuck off, your egi is dismissed and you can instantly summon another. Then, your rotation would work around summoning egis to upgrade into demis, which you'd use to build up into a Bahamut. Post 50 introduces new egis (and demis), which is used to further upgrade Bahamut.

But they won't do it even though egis have been all but abandoned (same with MCH's turret).
