honestly I couldn't be happier with risk of rain 2, even in early access it's amazing, once it gets a full roster of 10 characters, more stages and most importantly a final level and boss it will join the first in my ranks of top 10 games of all times

Is 3D better than 2D?
I can't really get into it right now. I've had teleporters and bosses spawn outside the game limits, and there needs to be some kind of radar to avoid getting cheap-shot by enemies behind you. I don't doubt it'll be good, but right now, it's kind of a mess.
I couldn't stand ROR1, and I think ROR2 is goddamned masterpiece.
they each have their strengths and their weaknesses, 3d is harder to dodge attacks and have awareness in, but naturally just more fun to move around and fight in. Risky 2 is pretty much the best translation from 2d to 3d you could ask for though

Even faster than Rain 1, It feels like it takes no time at all to get the right item(s) that allow you go on auto pilot for the next several hours (just holding down M1 for most characters) until stuff finally becomes statistically overwhelming despite whatever items you've accumulated.
