It’s a good plan in theory, but in practice, it doesn’t work out well in the end, because while a character like Oboro can now stand as a defensive wall or Cherche can be a fast blitz unit, they still get their salad tossed by crap like Eir & Reinhardt, which everyone already has and needs less skills to make broken, so the common player will seldom utilize these refines in favor of the dominant strategy, and most players who love the characters for the sake of the characters flew the coop already. On top of that, the refines are a real slow IV drip over every other month, and it’s extra-aggrevating because chars like FCorrin, Ryoma, and Vanilla Azura, who either need the stats to improve, are missing their prfs, or both, keep getting passed up for shit like Fir & Bartre, which in the context of the FE series feels real shitty to do to main characters. The only refines that came out objectively desirable as far as I know were Alm & Saber, who rarely see banners and just got fucked out of becoming pity-breakers for a lot of players.

I think that only really the parts about it being slow and not something common players would pursue are valid. If people have flown the coop already, then why does it matter less to the people who haven't and still like the characters? I'm sure Perifag is excited for his refine soon, and I'm waiting for Mae to get a refine eventually. For Cherche, she's an excellent unit that doesn't even interrupt the builds that people who used her had on her since it's a powerful brave axe. I think it's more important that nigh-unusable 3/4* shitters get their prfs before the crappy 5*s do. I'm sure Azura will get her Blessed Lance one day but I'm not really sure what they could do for Ryouma. Not really caring about them since their fans have already been pampered with multiple overpowered or at least useful alts for all of them, and Femui already benefits from all the Breath refines.

Aether Resorts is pretty cute but the 3 orbs a week to try and stay ahead in Aether Raids is a bunch of bull-crap. They also need to have like a feather/orb farm where every 24 hours you get 1 orb or something, otherwise it's looking like just fluff with Aether Stones tossed in.
Pair Up only being used in modes no one cares about is alright, the bonus points you get in Allegiance Battles for killing while paired up is less than what you get for just killing a red with a blue or a green with a red etc. So it won't really become pay to win until there's a nu-legendary of each color so you can have a full team of paired up units. And it's another way to get Dragon Flowers that's not AR so that's nice. Wish they would add more ways to get Grails though.
4 refines this month though is really lame. They need to roll these out faster and with more at a time. And also include more free units like GHBs and TTs so they can have a niche of their own.
Summoning changes were handled poorly though since only a few units demoted into the still bloated 3/4* pool, I can't even get a Hinata let alone an Ares or Silvia, I just get Raighs. Removing bad pity breakers from only new banners is good but some of them like Hector and Takumi should have stayed. Plus even on 2019 seasonal reruns like Hot Springs you can still get Luke'd or Mist'd, it's only a half fix.
Quality of life changes like more AR team slots is nice I guess. Merging carrying over accessories and sacred seals is great but they should have also transferred their current skill set.
After more level headed reflection it's not the worst update ever, but it sure as hell ain't the best.
People wanted demotions from 5 star exclusive units that are garbage and dont have a good Skill set that is worthy of inheritance. Hinoka (Hone Fliers is aviable on 2 f2p units), Original Olwen (nothing worth of note here) and Mist, for example. People wanted them gone from the 5 star pool and fans of those garbage units wanted them in the 4 star pool so they can finally +10 them without much hassle. I just got into this game a few weeks ago. Or back into it I should say. I played the game when it first came out because I'm a huge Fire Emblem fan. But my phone stopped being able to run it within the first few weeks and I haven't had a good phone until recently. So I started up with a new account and have been enjoying it a lot as a time sinker.
IV's kill me a bit on the inside like with Pokemon. I'm super OCD about this shit so any units I roll with bad IV'S that I turn into Combat Manuals. I am so fucking glad I rolled my favorite Fire Emblem character pic related with good IV's. I would have ended it all otherwise.
Speaking personally, I find that removing a ton of main FE characters like Lucina, Lyn, Alm, and Hector, many of which who are popular & well-liked by fans, is total horseshit when they got the gall to restrict characters like Sumia, Nina, and Kaden to 5-stars-only, who aren’t as popular and definitely don’t have the prestige to be 5-star-only chars. It’s a fuckin’ head-scratcher to me how Chrom can be 3-4 stars, but not Lucina, same with Eliwood to Lyn.

Rider canonically is the best class out of the 4 non-knight classes. They have magic resistance to counter Casters, they don't drain your mana like Berserkers do, and unlike Assassins, they can actually fight head-on.
She's good, I'm not talking about her. I'm talking about how the 1-2* pool is mostly Assassins and Berserkers, like Sanson, Phantom, Caligula, Spartacus, etc.
Get used to less orbs. All signs point towards this as the new normal.

She's got a strong AoE Noble Phantasm, which makes her a good door-killer. Her biggest problem is that her skills are mostly selfish buffs, which means doesn't have much team synergy.
He executed her during the French Revolution, but fell in love with her afterwards, and regretted it.
I'm happy they're still doing updates, but this was handled wrong. They should have divided units into two separate summoning pools that alternate between future banners.
They also need to give old TT/GHB units refines desperately. I'm not gonna invest in any grail units if they don't even have a decent weapon.
