Yet he becomes fucking invincible in the unreactable environment of online. Same with little mac, roar, and ganondorf. They can put out strong hitboxes with armor so frequently that you have to guess to ever get a hit, and macs and incineroars immediately spam counter as soon as you touch them.

the only laggy stuff online that becomes a real headache are command grabs and the only one that is unreactable with the lag is Bowser

macs grab is the most dogshit excuse for a grab in the game. high start and endlag, doubly for the sprinting version. no range, and most importantly 0 combos or kill throws unless you consider back throw at 500%.
the average mac will not down tilt fsmash anyway, so there's nothing to worry about. don't try to shieldgrab fsmash, it almost always spaces you too far, you'll just end up eating another fsmash.

Mario gets out ranged by pretty much everyone in the game. His mobility is also just "average". His punish/combo game is really good but he tends to struggle a lil bit in neutral due to having a few issues with getting close to his opponent.

For example he can combo characters like Fox and Greninja all day if gets a grab but these characters just run circles around him and make it hard to get that grab. Characters like Lucina can stuff out a lot of his moves and make it hard for him to get in. If the opponent is good Mario has to work to get his grabs/combos, especially with weaker shield grabs in this game. Frame data dont mean shit if you struggle to get in, look at Kirby.

I'm not including the belmonts in this because although they are spammy, they have so much endlag and start up time on everything they do they're incredibly easy to punish and gimp in comparison to the other ones. I don't really see them all that often in comparison to the other ones, either, but that's besides the point. Samus/Link/Isabelle players are scumbags.
