>didnt understand english when I first played through this
>didnt know that you could learn more moves than ending blow from him until I had already beaten the game
good times

(You)

So if I understand this correctly, the skelebro from TP is really MM Link who died trying to convince everyone he was a hero, right? Or an I missing something?

I thought it was OOT Link that was sad he missed out on his childhood or something.

I thought it was an ancestor of TP link, but not necesarily a link per se.

"Although I accepted life as the hero, I could not convey the lessons of that life to those that came after. At last, I have eased my regrets."

No, that was Zelda's reason for sending him back, which is pretty dumb considering the dude went through two Iraq tours fighting Ganondorf and would never get his innocence back.

I'm still amazed how many folks married her in game despite her past

I always considered that that was zelda's way to "wash her hands" with Link.

>Link thank you for all your efforts to destroy Ganon, but now I will be fucking up more the time line and I'll be sending you to the past, sorry if you had plans lol. xoxo

being a hero is suffering.

OoT did nothing wrong

By OoT, I hope you Link, and not Zelda who did everything wrong.

>lol just go back to being a kid, it'll work itself out
Jesus.

why the fuck didn't you understand english

>lived a full life as a glorious hero
>also gets a chance to pass on his skills

doesn't sound very sad

This always seemed oddly dark for the series.

>junkies exist
sadly they do

Not every country on earth speaks english natively user

you just reminded me of every reason why i hate the zelda timeline
why the fuck did nintendo try to do this, other than obviously appealing to the screaming fanboys
it's clear that it makes no sense to try to connect the games and were too pussies to say they are going for a retelling of a story

Every country that matters does.

quiet, you manchild.

Skelebro is OoT Link who was sent back as a child and helped them catch Ganon early on before all the bad stuff happened.

So he wasn't a hero in that timeline, because there didn't need to be one, so as far as his timeline was concerned he was just some kid. He became a soldier of Hyrule, married some literal who (probably horse girl), got sad about some hero shit, maybe tried to go back to the forest and ended up becoming a skeleton.

>why the fuck did nintendo try to do this
They didn't, it's a head canon that people think is canon for some reason. Both hyrule historia and twilight princess say that the hero's shade was just disappointed that he never got to pass on his skills, there was nothing about being forgotten as a hero.

Only people from reservations speak English natively.

I like it. Feels good my favorite game character didn't die a kissless virgin.

Didn't you had english classes on your elementary school years?

Shadow, I still don't understand why the fuck he stayed in the crumbling tower

>save the world
>twice
>get fucked out of the riches glory or adoration that come with being a legendary hero both times
>in fact, both worlds you have saved become completely unaccessible to you after saving them
Truly worst timeline Link. Shit would fuck me up mentally too.

English is a natural language. if you take a baby, put it on a dessert island and it lived OK, it would start talking English.

Yes but im a fucking zoomer and was 7 when TP came out

AGAINST THE RULES

Name a more tragic character.

Attached: Robo.jpg (430x720, 99K)

You left the part where he saved Termina and had to go back to Hyrule, again, with no proof of being a hero.

That shit must mess you up psychologically. Termina alone would mess me up... watching everyone die multiple times until I finally get things right and save the world.

Damn near everyone in Nier and Automata.
Which kind of makes sense given Yoko Taro’s inspiration for it.

He was horrified by the utterly callous reaction many people including his friends had to the events of 9/11, and realized that Good and Evil are a matter of perspective that when skewed can inspire attricities and heartlessness by people who beieve they’re in the right and dehumanize their “enemy” even if they’re just a civilian so he made that the tone of the series and arguably most of his work.

Oh yes. l He always reminded me of pic related (who also had a pretty tragic end).
