i honestly dont care what they do with minecraft as long as they dont dramatically change it, i mean sure they changed the textures, but theyre gonna have an option to have original item sprites, I think im the only one on Yea Forums who appreciates the new updates and isnt a nostalgia shilling fag, theres more to the game but its still the same, really, so stop being such fucking babies, jesus.

Man I just want a Cave update
add more dungeons/entertaining stuff, it kinda gets dull going through blank caves, all we have is mineshafts and those spawner boxes
I actually got into the game again for the first time in years with the latest snapshots. It's been surprisingly fun to discover everything I haven't seen before, and rediscover some stuff I more or less forgot. It feels a lot more complete now, even if there's a lot of questionable design decisions at play
That'd be lovely
I wish they could just get rid of hunger. That mechanic is so uncomfy
You used to eat to heal, now you eat to regenerate. It never really bothered me either way. I think XP needs an overhaul though, as it basically a grind until you have what you need and then becomes pointless
It's just becoming more of a hassle
"Oh you found an Ocean monument? too bad you'll need to find diamonds go the nether first, find a fortress, get some warts make waterbreathing potions"
It's just annoying
I think Drowned Zombies are actually pretty cool
water fortresses are kinda useless, i havent seen chests in them
>pic unrelated
there are gold blocks in some of the walls there my guy
It's the only place to get sponges and prismarine blocks. There's some gold blocks in there as well, but that's it
>posthunger minecraft
yikes!
I actually enjoy farming, it's comfy as fuck tending to my Wheat fields, wish there were some good Guard mods or defense mods I could use so mobs can piss off
I've tried getting into this for years with no success. Are they totally overhauling the game or something? I haven't even really played it and I don't want the game to change aesthetics without an option to revert.
why would you need to absorb a fuckton of water? what is the point of doing that? and i guess gold can help with making gold apples
minecraft is fundamentally a terribly designed game and the more trash content they aimlessly shove into it the worse it gets. the fact that there are amateur mods out there that add proper progression to the game better and faster than microsoft backed mojang ever could is a fucking embarassment.
because there is a lot to do underwater now
nobody cares about this old game.
There needs to be more stuff to mine and craft. All this above ground exploration shit is boring when the first 3 hours of the game is spent trying to not starve and find enough diamonds to even do the new shit they add.
This
they need to make Cave diving more spooky and interesting
I actually like the prospect of making the world feel more alive via mob interactions and pseudo-tc mechanics between villages and such, but on the individual level it's still too underdeveloped and half-baked.
Get the new mechanics in sure, and refine them, but then there's so much worth doing still like overhauling village generation, expanding the concept to include differing sizes, types, styles, perhaps based on biome.
Improve the late and endgame especially.
Add new content and value that'll keep players occupied with new creative challenges and possibilities.
NO JOKE, look to some of the largest well known gameplay and construction mods like buildcraft, industrialcraft, gregtech, thaum, redstone, Mystcraft, Forestry, and just take some votes from some polls with large sample sizes. Make a plan, choose two or four, and look to take and incorporate the core components from each of them into a late phase, in a way that makes sense.
I'm biased to something like Mystcraft because it introduces a valid, roughly balanced method of generating and modifying the fine characteristics of a world to do all types of interesting shit, and then the major tech mods to simplify or automate large scale construction in a legitimate way while introducing additional concepts and mechanics to add even more flavor to the experience.
There's still a ton of growth potential from back when Notch was developing it to be something akin to Dwarf Fortress, but it doesn't even need to be that complicated now, because they can just look to Terraria for where they should think about taking it going forward.
Why are the swedecucks at Mojang so lazy they need to poll to add one (1) new creature into their game? Modders do this shit for FREE and they add way more, and better content than the multimillion dollar company. How the fuck is it even possible? Those expensive trips to China to record panda noises must have been so arduous and painful.
And full javascript support on Bedrock across all versions PC, Console, and Mobile.

I'm going to make an underwater base in a coral reef at some point, and it's quicker to use sponges than to place and mine tons of blocks
I want a new dimension (like the Nether and the End) that's actually fun and interesting to explore. Basically something like the Aether mod, with unrealistic/fantastical biomes, instead of the bargain-bin variety stuff we get
A high fantasy counterpart to the Nether sounds fun.
Counterpart in theme, not in execution. If it ends up having 3 types of mobs and 4 types of blocks they might as well not even fucking bother
Mystcraft can more or less provide something like that while giving players full control over it. That's why I shill
Aside from mobs, but I know that mod can incorporate other mod blocks in the generation
Thaumcrafts defender golems are kino, I used them to set up logistic chains when I ran a server for me and some friends and we used to just sit and watch the little buggers run back and forth
Nether needs way more to do.
And literally just pay the Aether guy and add it wholesale.
The nether is the worst part of this game by far. I can't remember a single time I enjoyed spending an hour clearing a nether fortress with nothing to show for it. Whoops time to leave and then move the portal 20000 blocks away to find another fortress
use the saturation effect command with 222 value and 999999 duration and enter TRUE at the end so there's no graphic effect from it and BOOM, endless no-hunger!
I realized the game is objectively better without hunger but I wont bother arguing it to these hand-feeding faggots that continue to let others think for them.
People still have hope for this shit?
Since Microsoft bought them out all they've been doing is porting that shit to every fucking system imaginable and mass marketing it to autistic kids, and even before that notch went on 500 thousand fucking vacations and never actaully developed a the fucking game.
They never came close to the 'dwarf fortress adventure mode first person' concept which is what notch was selling the game as early on, and at this point they never will, instead we're just going to get reskinned blocks and another mob with no basic as fuck AI.
For me vanilla=bedrock (since no gay combat update and crossplay with console niggies)
modded=java obviously but im too much of a brainlet with shit like tech mods or haha 2000 mods into a package kind of deal, but it's fun with friends who kinda understand these mods more then me
I don't know how people even play Vanilla Minecraft.
I haven't played the game since 2014, has the Nether become any more interesting? That's literally the only thing I want.
Stopped playing after they ruined the combat by changing the player's side of combat, but not the enemies.
Friendly reminder that the Hytale team did more than the Minecraft team ever could in less time and with less resources.
This. If you want more it's called mods or Hytale.
>trusting hyniggers
I'd rather eat my own diarrhea.
The Nether has kino music at least
WTF is that on the right supposed to be? A bull?
illager beast, which is mob that spawns during a raid on a village.
Have you seen the recent updates lately?
>lets make villages and villagers completely fucking useless
>and if the player actually wanted to live in a village, lets make it hell for them by having constant zombie and illager raids!
WHAT THE FUCK WERE THEY THINKING!?
You don't know the conditions of a raid starting, do you?
xp is easily exploitable too.
feed some chickens, kill the chickens, and u gain a fuck ton of levels.
just need to have enough seeds (which i have a massive farm to grab a bunch of seeds)
>added one new enemy
>It deals a fuck ton of damage, flies, and automatically spawns if you don't sleep
What the fuck is the point of them besides to fuck over new characters. They don't even drop anything of use
phantom membranes, which is only useful for slow falling.
It still only spawns at night and the spawn can be reset anyways.
Plus it can't do shit if you're indoors.
That might be, but it's still annoying. I didn't know of the previous work penalty that the anvil applies whenever you repair something, and suddenly found myself with a pickaxe that would cost 34 levels to repair. After that, it would be too expensive and I'd have to toss it. That's some proper bullshit. I ended up creating an AFK fishing station so I could get a Mending enchant, partly because the drop chance in chests is like 0.1% at best, and partly because I really, really, really didn't want to have to enchant a new pickaxe from scratch every so often. It's not that it's hard; it's just really fucking boring to grind for XP
>phantom membranes, which is only useful for slow falling.
You can also use them to repair Elytras, which is kind of nice since they're basically in limited supply in any given world. Until, of course, the prior work penalty makes it too expensive to repair and you're fucked either way
