Third, Fifth and Sixth levels were all fucking spectacular.
Final segment of the "underwater" level was cool as fuck, but any level that didn't have a movement gimmick kinda sucked.
What the fuck does kino mean?
is this worth playing offline? I want to pirate it, not buying it on Epic
playstation exclusive
What the fuck it's on pc too? Yea, sure i guess it would be worth it even without the random companion you get through multiplayer
Buy ps3 instead
...wow Yea Forums makes alot more sense now
It means movie in my language so I always chuckle.
That scene was good but Apotheosis final level took my breath away, crumbling down in the snowstorm, seemingly dying and then sudden explosion of will, I mean I'm not religious but that was spiritual experience youtube.com
It would still be great but the experience might be slightly diminished, but not to the point it's not worth it if there's no way to play online for you.
It's alright. It really adds to the experience when you're playing with someone else
It's used on Yea Forums as mostly a way to say 'this was really cool looking'
it means movie, it's referring to a moment of peak cinematography that can occur in games/movies
but it spread any moment in any media that really leaves an impact on you
Epic has been paying out the ass to get Sony's older titles that are otherwise dead IPs.
Journey cost them $50 million to get license rights. Journey was only $2 mil to develop.
>Journey cost them $50 million to get license rights
Got the saucy sauce for that claim?
I doubt that playing solo outright ruins the game but meeting a random player or two on your journey definitely adds to its impact, you would be missing out on potential meaningful interactions in a game that doesn't have much to offer from a gameplay perspective.
I'd honestly prefer you pirate than give Epic your money though.
>Epic has been paying out the ass to get Sony's older titles that are otherwise dead IPs.
>Journey cost them $50 million to get license rights.
Why are you lying to him? If Epic paid to get these games on the PC then Flower wouldn't have released on Steam and GOG as well. Also $50 million is a moronic lie to make on what you would pay for license rights for a small game
It's all about interpretation. Kino in my eyes is the perfect balance of artstyle/cinematography, that heavily emphasizes a feeling or emotion without the use of narrative
Honestly: Wait for it to hit Steam, buy it at a decent discount and play it online. The multiplayer really improves the experience.
> it's referring to a moment of peak cinematography
Cinematography means lighting and color rendition, and kino refers to superior european cinema.
Journey to me is all about that. Don't know if im just a pussy but i definitely felt emotional playing this game and it has no dialogue.
When you watch your buddy get demolished by the flying stone snake and they limp over and cuddle up to you :(
>Yea Forums hates "muh walking simulators"
>Yea Forums loves journey
???
Yea Forums is one single hive mind
Why do pc niggers always cry and beg for games but don't buy them in the end? no wonder pc isnt the lead platform
Journey isnĀ“t a typical walking-smiluator though
And I really like walking-simulators, I even got some enjoyment out of Dear Esther and Gone Home
the pinnacle of a genre sometimes is good to experience.
journey is an online surfing and swimming simulators btw
Its the best soviet band in history.
It's one of the few good walking sims, yes. Just don't expect much in the way of gameplay
It's pretty much the best walking sim and does environmental storytelling extremely well.
When's it coming to pc already?
I know this is overstated by now but BB has some absolute kino
This casual walking simulator isn't a game. It's a screensaver with a joystick.
That's cool mr tru gamer.
shame the "game" is absolute garbage
Dear Esther sucks
Why don't you come back here when you can beat Dark Souls 3 on stream?
Ludo might eventually catch on but it's a toss-up with these things.
kek, dark souls 3. You're funny.
baited... *puts on shades* epic style
Lucas Arts adventures during the golden age had such an awesome concept too bad they where always (maybe apart from monkey island 3) limited by pixels and then the shitty jump to 3d for their last adventure/magnum opus...
