Some of its games are alright but most 1st party IPs that were both on the GC & Wii had stronger episodes on the GC, with a few exceptions like 3D Mario. Wagglan was kind of annoying, and it had a couple of neat 3rd party games. Overall, just an average Nintendo console to me.

mario galaxy, super paper mario and xenoblade chronicles were the only games worthy on this console

Wagglan was annoying as shit, I don't know how speedrunners mastered it. Overall it was alright, lots of shovelware but some surprisingly fun games on it. I miss that channel that let you download Miis, I had weird amounts of fun just collecting stupid Miis.

The Wii Remote (without the motion plus) was good for two maybe three things: pointing and shooting. Too bad only a few developers realized that, and threw in waggle-waggle "mechanics" instead of doing something else. Skyward Sword used it right, and it has the best version of RE4, as well as bunch of great exclusives like Mario Galaxy and The Last Story. The controller can also be used as a dildo, which is definitely a plus.

Hardware sucks but the games are enjoyable. Nintendo in a nutshell.

The beginning of the end of video game industry. Casuals start playing more games, which include women who demanded games cattering about their "needs" mixed with the new global cultural marxist agenda they got sticked into.
2007 was a mistake

The company lost its way here, but at least they still had the virtual console a BC with GameCube. Now its "buy our newest games only, you pig cow consumer."

easily nintendo's worst console (not counting shit like the virtual boy). so many nintendo franchises got their worst entries on the wii and/or got ruined forever, the library is full of waggle shit shovelware that has aged like milk. its success convinced nintendo to stop putting effort into their hardware and start forcing gimmicks with decade-old hardware instead. finally, the wii brought all the casuals into the hobby who have since gone on to fuel cancerous trends like microtransactions, mobile "gaming" and zoomer royale.
the only good thing i have to say about the wii is that it has some hidden gems like pandora's tower, opoona and rodea the sky soldier. but honestly, every console that sells well has hidden gems, so that's not much of a point in the wii's favor.

Overall neat and tried something new with gameplay with some all time greats and some nice hidden gems too, had a ridiculous amount of shovelware though and many games even good ones didn't take full advantage of the hardware.

That's why I said "without the motion plus". Only a few games took full advantage of it: Skyward Sword, Red Steel 2 and Wii Sports Resort. There's a bunch of others that support it, but these three were developed with the motion plus in mind, and won't even work without it.

Everything you blame on the Wii was actually the Xbox 360 audience.

Good idea, shit execution. The only things that made it worth the price were Mario Galaxy 1 and 2.

the wiimote was shit even with the motionplus and a total joke without it. the whole console was built around a gimmick that didn't even work properly.
there's really no excuse, considering that sony made a far more accurate motion wand as an afterthought that they barely even used. if they could do that, then it's embarrassing that nintendo's motion controller that the whole system was specifically built around was such junk.
