She had it coming.
She had it coming
To be honest she didnt, she actually cares about you by the end of the game
Have sex
>"but I'd like to kill a Shura"
>jobs
This is retarded after they set her up as the person that can handle Orangutan if he ever turns into the Demon of Hatred.
What she had coming was my undying love
waiting for someone to lewd her and kuro and nobody can stop me
>after they set her up as the person that can handle Orangutan if he ever turns into the Demon of Hatred
They never did. You really misunderstood the story somehow.
First of all, she was raised by a doctor, not a shinobi, she just studied swordfighting under Isshin a little. She could never take out Orangutan, a professional back at the time.
Second, Orangutan lost his arm when she was still a wee lass. She was never raised to be his watchdog or anything.
And she didn't mean the Demon of Hatred, she meant she would like to do what Isshin did for Orangutan if another person ever starts turning into a killing machine. Shura is basically a serial killer psycho, not a literal demon, like DoH.
Wait so sculptor man is actually DoH? is there a reason he turns into it?
Not really, she was very damn nice to you.
And you beat the Demon of Hated, you are just stronger than the both of them.
Yes, obviously.
As to why that happens, well, we don't know. It just does. It's karma catching up to him for all the killing he's done in the past or something like that.
He tried to supress his killing psych the whole game, notice how his buddha statues turns out wrong everytime? When war broke out again, he just lost his shit.
>And you beat the Demon of Hated
Not in this ending you don't.
fires of war awaken shura in him but the temple's seals and the karma from buddha statues repress it and he turns into a demon instead of becoming shura.
>obviously
calm down swamp ass
Moreso than the pther from games, DLC seems inevitable. Not that it seems unfinished, but there are clearpy concepts that are set up yet to be resolved.
>tfw no kuro x emma nursing handjob picture
kill me
>be shinobi
>do excessive amounts of killing
>accumulate demonic energy that threatens to turn you into Shura
>retreat into temple warded by talisman stickers and carve buddhas to cleanse yourself and hold the demon at bay
>enemy army torches and murders everything nearby
>witnessing the flames and bloodshed overpowers your safeguards
>not enough to turn you into Shura but enough to twist you into a demon of hatred
>concepts that are set up yet to be resolved
If you haven't caught on by now - FromSoft doesn't do that.
There are some events that the game can expand on, like the whole Takeru-Tomoe-Sculptor-Dogen story. But explaining something? Nah.
very cool
I doubt someone who failed to become a Shura can ever do that again. It needs that killing momentum, or some crucial event that breaks the person to turn into a Shura.
back to twitter, tranny
>decide to keep your vows and don't betray your father
>this means you are bad
>game just ends after 1 more bossfight
Fuck thins game. I wouldn't be so mad if at least you could somehow save and reload to see the rest of the game.
>your father is evil
>stay loyal to him
>WOW I'M BAD NOW?!?!?!
Yes, you dingus.
what a beauty
He saved you and taught you everything you know.
He tasked you to serve the Kuro.
You accepted the Iron Code.
>breaking your code and betraying your parents is bad
Fuck this.
>She had it coming.
uh no?
>""""father"""""
>literally stabbed you in the back in the past (Hirata Estate)
>virtually stab you in the back by forcing you to follow the """"shinobi code"""" №1 rule of which is "listen to yo daddy boyo"
>being this retarded
>He saved you and taught you everything you know.
he literally stabbed you in the back and left you to die
with me right?
You overestimate familial bonds too much, but even without that, your judgement is off base. Owl didn't really raise him like a son, more like a pet. I mean the Wolf didn't even know you can cook rice before eating. And he didn't have good intentions for doing that from the start. He only saw the Wolf as a tool in his scheming.
Why did he do this?
and sliced your face leaving you permanently scarred
because wolf was going to rescue kuro
But how was that a bad thing? Wasn't that what his Father asked him to do?
Why did Wolf's father and teacher (Butterfly) betray Wolf and arguably break the Iron Code themselves by holding Kuro hostage for whatever reason.
I've not finished the game but I'd like to know the lore regardless.
He planned on just using Wolf as a way to get close to Kuro, when Wolf returned to Hirata Estate he’d outlived his usefulness and was now in the way. While Owl raised Wolf as his own son, he’d always intended to just use him to further his own ambitions and didn’t give a shit about Wolf as a person. He does show an inkling of respect for Wolf after you kill him in the present and past, he realises he actually did a pretty good job raising Wolf regardless since he managed to beat him.
>Wasn't that what his Father asked him to do?
yes but he wasn't supposed to succeed. the entire attack on the hirata estate was organized by genichiro in an attempt to take kuro.
Owl is a power-hungry old fox. He just wants power to rule over people. His motivations are very basic and rather cartoonish. Honestly, didn't expect that in a From game.
So Owl has his own agenda by using Kuro as leverage or for his blood. Was Butterfly in on this as well or was she sided with Ginchiro?
Spoilers incoming.
Owl wanted the Dragon’s Heritage for himself to conquer Japan with his immortal posse of shinobis. He used Wolf as a way to get close to Kuro, but he raised Wolf too well and had to kill him himself instead of just letting him be killed by his men. Kuro resurrected Wolf and fucked up Owl’s plan so he had to fake his death and go into hiding until he could strike at Kuro again. It wasn’t until three years later when Genichiro kidnapped Kuro then got BTFO by Wolf causing him to fuck off for a while to get the second mortal blade that the opportunity to strike presented itself, which is why the shinobi invasion about two thirds of the way through the game happens and Owl tries to get Wolf back under his control by telling him about the Iron Code again.
anyone else notice her walking animation being a bit janky? only entity in game with a weird walking animation as far as I know.
>the entire attack on the hirata estate was organized by genichiro
It wasn't. It was organized by Owl, who tipped off Juzou's gang that the Estate had no capable defenders left in it. And he also used the help of the Lone Shadows, who might or might not be Internal Ministry forces.
Genichiro is the rightful ruler of the Ahina land, and the acting head of the Ashina clan, of which Kuro's (Hirata?) family is a branch of. He could just ride into the estate and demand Kuro to come with him. And the Owl wouldn't just give the Divine Heir away to Genichiro like that, because that's what his ultimate goal was. So if he ended up in his hands that night, the game wouldn't happen.
Most likely after the events of the fateful night three years ago Kuro and the Wolf were on the run, but got captured by Genichiro's men shortly before the start of the game, when they tried to leave the country.
Owl just wants to be immortal and conquer Japan. It isn’t explicitly stated who Lady Butterfly is sided with but the safer assumption is Owl since she was Wolf’s teacher and thus has more of a relationship with Owl than Genichiro.
>everyone wants to be immortal: the game
what's wrong with immortality again?
The answer is in your own post.
All that you fight of the Ashina clan have gone mad for the blood because the Interior Ministry, probably the Momoyama guys trying to unify japan. They all wish to remain independent and will fight for it. Since if they had the blood they could fight forever, they could save their homeland from being conquered. Ergo, they want his divine heritage
>muh stagnation
>muh life is beautiful because it ends at some point
based have sex poster haha
All the immortality types in the game have serious drawbacks to them and in Kuro’s case he hates that countless people are being killed in the name of acquiring his blood, he doesn’t want more people to die because of him so by severing his immortality less people will be killed in the name of a few people getting to live forever.
Maybe what was happening at endgame was what Buddha had allowed him to see. So he fulfilled his own role in it.
I'm extremely retarded, how come Wolf can resurrect? Isn't it Kuro who is immortal and Wolf is just a dude?
yeah probably my favorite meme this year
Have sex
More people are being killed over acquiring immortality than are being saved by becoming immortal. Kuro detests the fact that as long as he exists countless men will fight and die to acquire his blood for their masters, and he wants to stop the deaths of thousands for the benefit of a few.
Different forms of immortality. Sekiro can resurrect because the Divine Heir has taken him into an "Immortal Oath".
Because in this world if you kill people in the numbers any of the main characters would have considering it's Sengoku you turn into the Buddhist god of absolute murder.
Wolf was given the divine blood. He can't die until that bond is severed in some way.
Those with the Dragon’s Heritage can share it with others, but sharing it with others spreads Dragonrot. That’s why Kuro is hesitant to give it to Genichiro, also because if he makes Ashina’s entire army immortal then the Dragonrot will spread wildly and also the goal of an army is to eradicate other armies and people which he isn’t comfortable with.
By removing yourself from the cycle of reincarnation, you accumulate negative karma and eventually become Shura or something like it. Reincarnation cleanses the soul of its negative karma.
>Most likely after the events of the fateful night three years ago Kuro and the Wolf were on the run
it's stated that wolf was lifeless in the well because he lost everything. kuro was captured and owl was "dead" kuro hadn't seen wolf since "that night"
Did anyone care about the story? It was so confusing, I just ignored all the story part, did the same with DS games. You play for gameplay, story is just shit. I didn´t even read item description during DS III cause they were so shit.
What is old sword man talking about when he says he should have hated Wolf "back then" for "what you did"?
>kuro hadn't seen wolf since "that night"
Was that really stated?
If so then that raises a lot of questions.
The Divine Heir can do an Immortal Oath with someone where they share a small part of their blood with that person, and they gain the resurrection abilities of the Divine Heir as well, but they can’t do Immortal Oaths themselves. However, someone gifted with immortality in this way spreads Dragonrot whenever they use the resurrection ability, which is part of why Kuro doesn’t want to share the ability too much. Kuro detests the idea of random innocent people paying the price for their master or someone else doing something wrong, and giving Genichiro and his men the immortality they want will only cause more death and destruction than the lives it would save. As such, he views his bloodline as a curse and not a blessing.
Not really. Wolf was dead after getting buried in burning Rubble. Kuro dug him out and gave him the Immortal oath. Wolf was so badly damaged that it took him several years to regenerate. Pretty simple. It explains his amnesia too.
>Wolf was so badly damaged that it took him several years to regenerate
That's not how Immortal Oath works, and that's why everyone is after it, even though they have rejuvenating waters and centipedes.
youi had to kill this? why?
Why is wolf so sad bros? If you pan the camera to his face while doing a backstab animation it remains stony and lifeless. I really want to hug him.
You became Shura, silly user. Don’t get so horny over killing in your next life, you gotta balance that karma somehow.
Ok, now what?
>Shown sea of flames by the buddha long ago
>haunted by it
>Isshin asks him to help defend Ashina one last time through Emma
>He realizes what the dream meant and gives in for Isshin, one last time
>Proceeds to wreck shit and keep the gates closed in place of GYOUBU MASATAKA ONIWA
Is my take on what happened.
How does it make sense that immortal people age? So what will they look like at 1000 years old? Probably a ballsack
maybe they don't it was never specified
His whole life he’s been a tool and made to murder. He has basically no free will and is a broken person. It’s why the game divergeswhen Owl forces you to choose between breaking or obeying the Iron Code. If you choose to obey it then Wolf has basically accepted he is a slave to hate and violence and gives in to it, but if you choose to disobey then Wolf has finally made his own choice for the first time in his life and grown as a person, he’s no longer a tool but his own man who serves his lord not because he’s a soulless robot but because he believes it’s the right thing to do. The Purification ending goes even further with this, Kuro is adamant that he should die along with the Dragon’s Heritage but Wolf decides of his own volition to disobey him and uses the Purification ritual to sever the Dragon’s Heritage at the cost of his own life so Kuro can live a normal life. Even though the Return ending will be the one they go with if a sequel happens, Purification is still my favourite since it gives Wolf the most satisfying yet bittersweet ending to his character arc. Our guy deserved better but he didn’t let that stop him from doing the right thing in the end.
>immortal people age
Who does?
So owl has Kuro all to himself in the end of Hirata estate but decides to fuck off cause he left the lights on or something
Animals with biological immortality like certain species of jellyfish just don’t age after reaching full maturity. We age because our DNA wasn’t ‘designed’ (for want of a better word) with immortality in mind, it was designed to get us out there fucking quickly and protecting our spawn until they were old enough to do the same then we’d die. If we still lived like animals then aging wouldn’t be a problem because we’d die before it’s sumptoms got too bad. Aging beyond sexual maturity is literally just a consequence of our DNA being designed to be used once then discarded, not reused as nauseum.
Given all this I’d assume that immortals stay the same age they were when they became immortal, unless they weren’t sexually mature yet at which point they’d keep aging but stop once they’ve reached sexual maturity.
It's not a familial bond. He's to Sekiro what an oyabun is to a yakuza. I mean he literally uses oya anyway, and a more appropriate translation of it would be patriarch rather than father.
>oya
>patriarch
It literally means "parent".
it was implied by the dialogue during the tutorial that they hadn't seen each other in a long time
Oh yeah you're right, how can I fucking forget.
Psst, Sekiro is Ninja Blade's past.
> most obnoxious movesets in this game
> woman
what did they mean by that? also, monk too
That's a pretty fucking awesome plot actually
How come some shiboi is stronger than Sword Saint, Demon, giant ape etc? They never explained that
It's as if you grew in power due the course of the story slaughtering hundreds and resurrecting after being killed
He's just that good.
So the red 死s are non canon? He dies once (grey 死), resurrects and beats boss > gains memories > gets stronger? What about beads?
