It's honestly quite amazing how much they buried this series. I mean, there's the remake, but of course it wouldn't sell as much given it's practically a remake while advertising it with English fucking VAs when the charm of the game was practically the original voices, the cute designs and the dream/nightmare theme along with the puzzle gameplay. From a whole point of view, the remake feels more generalized and more Sonic like.
Also never forget: Lolo's voice actress.

The first game on PS1 is no joke one of my favorite games of all time. I rank it highly among my favorite games and preferred platformers. That being said I kinda didn't like the Wiimake, mostly because the redone graphics have shit lighting and makes everything about the original soulless and squeaky clean like NSMB. The english VA use is also pure cringe but at least they had the decency to include the original made up language as a separate option.
The only other game I played was the GBA one and it was OK I guess, a bit more anemic and puzzle centric for my liking. However, I have never played the 2nd game (Lunatea's Veil) aside from some brief interactions on a PS2 demo kiosk at a K-Mart. Is it worth playing the sequel? Is it better or at least as good as the first?0
