Should I get it to play ps1 games on the go?

get a psp go

Sure, second joystick helps. Downside is the battery life though, if you go out a lot. Older model has a better screen, but the newer one has better battery life.

>Get old model with better screen
>buy new model battery
>profit

Is that easy to do? I'm gonna get an original model at 1.80 and hack it. Are there any good bigger batteries I could just buy? Also isn't there a way to upscale with a hacked vita?

you'd have to look into it, i use a custom battery that last 4x longer then the crap normal one. it's a really good emulator on the go unless you want to hack a switch.

Shit, that could work. Batteries look like the same shape.
I dunno any good third party batteries, but you can upscale shit in Adrenaline (takes the built in PSP emulator and unlocks it so you're essentially emulating a full PSP).

just make sure it's the same size, you can find images of the vita battery easy, i got one that was slightly to big and had to make my shell a bit bigger.

No you don't.

Assume you already hack your Vita.

Any PS1 game from PSN is run perfectly but if you get eboot from somewhere else, you gonna need luck with that because Adrenaline don't support Poploader plugin which require to run some game.

If you only cares about PS1 game i suggest you get PSP instead.

PSP is going to be cheaper and simpler to mod. vita still doesn't have 100% hackability rate, and until like 2021 it probably won't, since I expect they'll probably toss out a last few security updates while it's still actively supported on the PSN.

That said, adrenaline is literally a PSP inside the vita. you get the xmb and everything. But i've noticed there's some serious issues with specific psp games that c ause it to hardlock the vita and require a full reboot. gng ultimate kai is a good example. On my vita, and 3 other vitas i've tested, 1000s and 2000s, after you play gng ultimate kai, then put the vita in sleep mode (you know, hit the power button) it locks it, and it'll never come back on until you reboot it. I think it's something to do with how it loads the game, since it's technically just 2 games smooshed into one file with a selector, and all the other games that crash are similar. the capcom collections, parodius collection, etc.

never have that issue on psp though.

the only games i've had issue with in regards to lack of popsloader functionality is legend of the dragoon and the ps1 fist of the north star game. lotd is just that one fucking boss fight you have to beat without transforming, but fotns is nearly unplayable, crashes after the first fight and since no popsloader, no way to fix it.

I literally bought one a few hours ago, Hoping to crack it and put some games on it, Memory cards are fucking expensive

Just Use SD2Vita

Bro not like this

Attached: 1554324449739m.jpg (1024x768, 55K)

sd2vita is the usual replacement for traditional memcards since they're only really going to get more expensive. The only tradeoff is, it sits in your game card slot and looks ugly as sin since it's too big to close on.

honestly a 16gb card was enough for me. I got an sd2vita and never even use it because it's so prone to corruption and shit. The only time I ever had issue with the size of the card was when I was playing kz mercenaries frequently, online, so it used like 12gb of th 16gb. Nowadays I can fit 2 or 3 large sized games on there, plus a huge collection of PSP/emulated titles. I'd recommend you actually get your vita and try to mess around with it first before you commit to an sd2vita.

What did i do wrong?

You fucked up lol

>running gsp kai is still the best way to play GBA games on this thing
WHAT THE FUCK. The fact this thing doesn't even have a shitty DS emulator is mind boggling to me

>to big to close on
are you using some werid tiny vita? mine literally is able to close and is the same size and a normal game cart so it fits fine

>32gb for 50$
It's twice that for me

>I got an sd2vita and never even use it because it's so prone to corruption and shit
No it isn't. Get a genuine SD card, not a counterfeit. Stop being a cheap lardass. I've never had an error with my 64GB Sandisk

it really would be nice to play advance wars ds is the damn thing

Order the 64 gb jap memory card.

It's not the sd that corrupts, it's the sd2vita that causes it. And it's not just me, feel free to look online and see the dozens of people that complain about it every single week. It ain't worth it, especially if he already went and bought a 32gb memcard. If you need more than that much space you're hoarding games.

Is this what i need? i already got it before hand

Attached: 458458945897.jpg (701x230, 19K)

Why did you even buy the 32gb card instead of a 4gb then? You can't mix and match the storage as far as I know.

i have a 64gb microsd card in mine and i've never had a problem with it, so i think your are just retarded and lick the thing like a nintentard

Attached: 1532390255860.png (207x243, 15K)

>Works on MY machine
okay ignore the hundreds of people who have issues with the sd2vita corrupting and wiping itself every few weeks. Just giving another opinion that it's a waste of money because you'll literally never need all that space. You could fit the entire fucking SNES and GBA libraries plus have enough room for 4-5 large games with a 32gb card.

get this one, it's the same one i have and it literally has zero issues with it. plus get a good quality micro sd. i use sandisk 64gb micro.

Are you going to play more than 5 hours outside?

Get a better SD2Vita adapter.

How cheap is a 3.60 or brand new Vita 2000? I have a hacked 1000, but my charging port is starting to not work all that well and the port on the 2000 is looking very appealing.

A PSP does that at a much lower price.
However, the Vita does it better if you're ale to hack it. Better screen and dualshock inputs.

it's not my fault you are retarded and don't know how to not throw your handheld like a child.
and yes the 64gb's is full on my vita.
>the few good vita games
>all the SNES games
>huge chunk of GBA's
>Pile of PSP gems
>PS1 games
>homebrews
>movies
need i say more? i'd get the 128 gb if i had the cash at the time desu

You can use the original card for backups of certain games and such. I use mine for the adrenaline eboot file or whatever whenever I update adrenaline with a vpk it overwrites it, and having it backed up is nice, so i just have to copy it over.

Don't get that, get a 5.0 or a 6.0

how come? fast transfer speeds?

nobody has bothered to make an optimized emulator

Why would you emulate snes on the Vita? The emulators are trash

You can try other region. Sometime game that don't work in USA version might work in EU version

But there's no guarantee with this method and you have to start game all over so i don't really recommend it

4gb on amazon was like 15-20 so may as well get 32gb for 40, I guess i got it as a fail safe too in case i fuck up trying to mod it and cant use the micro sd

Build quality. My 5.0 fits and works much better than my 3.0

No I mean, the popsloader issue for lotd is global, and fotns only released in japan. Those are the two games that I even know of that have issues on vita though. Everything else runs fine.

>using the vita emu's
im using adrenaline's emu's, they are leagues better then the vita's

Are there multiple sd2vita adapter makers? Whats the best one to get?

mine fills the whole slot, so i might have the better one, i never looked at what version i got.

Probably. How long does a vita battery last? The one I'm getting is like 8 years old.

Mine lasts about 4 hours of constant gameplay at max "stock clocking" that is to say, not overclocked, but not underclocked either, on something like ffx. Not sure how third party batteries work since that's plenty of time for me.

Does the game require R2 and L2?
'cause I tried using the touchpad for those, and it works like shit. I could have bound them to the right stick or something, but it wouldn't have worked at all with the games I wanted to play.

5.0 and 6.0 are off-white. 3.0 is black. Hardly anyone owns a 4.0

444 cpu/222 gpu or 166 gpu?

Buy a trigger grip. Adds physical L2/R2

444/222. Max you can get without proper overclocking.

Theyre all out of china. Get a 5.0 or a 6.0 off amazon or ebay.

Are you on a 1k or 2k model? How much less battery do you get between factory and hardware stock?

>And it's not just me, feel free to look online and see the dozens of people that complain about it every single week.
Can you show me one?

the sd2vita specifications are public, there's literally no hardware inside it beside a bunch of copper tracks
all the different "versions" of the sd2vita change nothing apart from form factor. The versions that go by "1.0" and "2.0" suck because they don't fit flush in the slot but the rest are fine

1k, original battery. I lose about another 2 hours on the same FFX, but it also runs at a pretty stable 30fps versus the frequent dips to 20 in battle, which I take prefrence for. You can also further underclock if you want MORE battery power, but games may run so slow they break, usually not though.

I did underclocking on 2D games like bloodstained curse of the moon and rainbow moon, and had well over 8 hour battery times.

5.0 fixed pin alignment issues.
