This sort of pertains to the recent announcement of Bloodlines 2. Time and time again, when a major upcoming title starts releasing details before launch, the anti sjw types throw a shit-fit over something having to do with representation or sensitivity towards certain marginalized groups. I see it all over social media and youtube.

What the hell do these people want exactly? For every game to feature straight white dudes exclusively? Because it seems like every time a new game is announced to veer away from that, it’s written off as “SJW”. Getting triggered over representation in games seems like a total waste of time to me, yet it’s practically it’s own YouTube genre. It feels like we’re getting less hyped for games anymore because we’re ready to point fingers all the time.

Tho problem is not the fact they did put minority in game. Old games also had women, blacks, gays etc.
But in past they were just interesting characters with soul and own personality, Barret from FF7 wasn't "Just some black guy with gun instead of hand", Demoman wasn't "Just black guy with explosives".
Today minority characters are souless and basically they were made in way that their skin colour, gender or sexuality is the only thing what describes them.

Imagine being in an RPG, and I'm playing an amazing adventure, and suddenly Panthro, my companion, shows up on my room and the whole scene is about how Panthro wants to fuck me. Now he's no longer a cool awesome bud, now I know he wants my ghoulie bits.
Or imagine, if I'm in the middle of an adventure, there's this person with a weird name, which is fine- it's fantasy. But I click an option and suddenly she tells me her whole fucking goddamn life about how she was a woman and now is a man, and about how her name is made out of consonants of the name of important people in her life-
Just no. If you wanna have this in the game, just have a like an option, like a Normativeness slider.

This has absolutely nothing to do with race and everything to do with video game companies thinking they're arbiters of social norms when they're just a bunch of ideologically driven retards that regurgitate their radical ideology when they make video games.
