How long did it take you to beat him? I'm at 6 hour mark and I still cant beat him.

>hurr durr its the hardest from game
no, you are just mad that people with friends are able to co-cop through dark souls
anyone know what this autistic paranoid virgin is going on about?
bout 10 tries. Try running at him going slightly to the right.
6 tries
Make sure when he jumps away to immediately run towards him and make sure you run towards his left leg (your right) his double stomp is the only attack that should hit you there
Malcontent's ring stuns him, but save it for the last phase. he's got this ring of fire attack that's annoying as all hell
About an hour. He's a shitty fight for sure, but after trying for a while he couldn't really hit me with anything except for his stupid meteor attack.
???
Do I suck, or does parrying hurt you in this fight?
No more than 15 minutes.
I didn't fight him because I finished the game and I don't care anymore.
I don't think it's necessarily harder, just that the combat is fucked up. I don't understand it. It seems extremely inconsistent.
What? It’s literally the most consistent of any of the From games. The only shitboxes I noticed in the entire game after playing through NG+7 were the Chained Ogre grab and Demon of Hatred headbutt. The combat has clearly defined rules
The second to final upgrade to the Metal fan thing makes you invulnerable to his jumping explosion attacks.
beat him down for two phases and trivialize the last with malcontent
Maybe I just don't understand the rules. Sometimes I think I can parry/block mid animation when I'm doing just about anything. Sometimes I can't. I think it might be if I get blocked? I don't know. There are some enemies where if you fill their poise bar all the way up nothing happens until they get low enough health, even if you get a bunch of perfect parries on them. Hit boxes are good though, yes.
2 hours maybe, though I accidentally had the bell demon on
It hurts if you block, perfect parry doesnt hurt you....i think
If you are mid swing or in the middle of a sword art you can’t block. It’s better to take a few deliberate swings than spam the attack button. As for the posture bar, if it fills all the way up they should break no matter what, you can break it by parrying an attack. It must be super close to breaking but not quite there in the instances you’re talking about. Just remember that you can parry anything that isn’t a perilous attack. Don’t be afraid to parry giant attacks that look like they would kill you.
Same thing happened to me. I fucking left it on my first time fighting Sword Saint and after an hour and a half of trying I finally beat it only to realize I had the fucking bell on.
He was easier than most for me
I don't know how much it matters for demon of hatred since I just hugged his ass and never got hit anyway, but Isshin sounds like cancer with the increased posture damage
2 hours without umbrella or whistle.
I finally played Ringed City after Sekiro and Midir was way harder, got stuck on him for four hours.
Parrying only drains posture.
>bloodborne assets
Where are the DaS3 shitposters now?
Wait, are there really people who didn't play the whole game with the bell on?
It actually didn't take me very many attempts compared to Isshin, although the attempts were very long. Distance yourself properly and go in for 2 hits after an attack and 5-6 during the 3 piece whip attack. Always space yourself about at the range of the whip attack and constantly run perpendicular to the demon to avoid rush attacks. Once you learn how to dodge a specific move, you'll never get hit by it ever again.
perfect parrying still inflicts some burn if it's with his fire arm
harder than isshin. but i literally didn't block a single attack against the demon guy
>he didn't speedrun the game to play NG+ with bell and no charm
casuals these days
