The author of Game of Thrones is teaming up with FromSoftware to make an open-world ARPG, which is characterized by the player conquering regions of a large kingdom, which GRRM will construct.
How awesome is it that GRRM will be helping FromSoftware make their next game instead of finishing his books?
Comes from a credible source, and it’s exactly what he’d do

George is an alright writer, but I highly doubt he could wrap his mind around the things that make the stories in the Souls games so great. You'd need somebody with a bigger mind for that. I'd take Brandon Sanderson over Georgie-boy

>George is an alright writer, but I highly doubt he could wrap his mind around the things that make the stories in the Souls games so great. That's an insult to his intelligence. If the average Yea Forums user can do it, so can he. It will work well.
>Ruling is hard. This was maybe my answer to Miyazaki, whom, as much as I admire him, I do quibble with. Dark Souls had a very medieval philosophy: that if the king was a good man, the land would prosper. We look at real history and it’s not that simple. Miyazaki can say that Gwyn became king and reigned for a hundred years, and he was wise and good. But Miyazaki doesn’t ask the question: What was Gwyn’s tax policy? Did he maintain a standing army? What did he do in times of flood and famine? And what about all these ancient dragons? Did Gwyn pursue a policy of systematic genocide and kill them? Even the little baby dragons, in their little dragon cradles?
