Square Enix. That's it. It's still really good.
It wasn't bad. But it was short as fuck. It was obviously going to be part of a trilogy, but we might never see the final part because square are actual fucking retards
Also what's the point of these threads, isn't this game like 5 year old
>short as fuck
>garbage story that went nowhere and ended on the climax for a lazy cliffhanger
>heavy handed MUH APARTHEID with absolutely no subtly or wit put into it
>so many tools that while cool, totally trivialize the game
>one hub
>an absolutely fucking disgusting amount of backtracking in that one hub
>one hub
>one hub
>>one hub
But a cool and pretty diverse motherfucking hub, nonetheless.
to be fair the hub was absolutely based and superior in every way to detroit
but yeah
>one hub
it's a shame because that one mission that doesn't take place in >the hub is fucking cool as shit
I liked it
it was mad comfy going through the city and exploring
didn't pay attention to the main story though
>that one mission that doesn't take place in >the hub
Are you talking about golem city? That area was pretty cool.
yeah golem city
should've been a hub
It's not fucking short, you ADHD retards.
Only 4 areas.
It's shorter than all Deus Ex games aside from Invisible War.
It's only short if you skip the side content. Tbh the side quests are the highlight of the game.
And pic related is CUTE
also the weapons felt like shit, especially when you had so many tools to use
the multiple approaches to levels were too formulaic. it felt like there were only 3/5 variations for every room and everything else was relatively cosmetic. there weren't any difficult puzzles or hard to navigate places or anything of the sort
all the new characters were fucking dogshit, megan didn't die, sarif only shows up for a tiny bit, no malik beyond a shitty easter egg
>Usual deus ex game has multiple twists and hidden villains
>game ends when you defeat the guy that's being obviously manipulated
>loose ends everywhere
>game severly hints that jensen is a clone
>sudden end
epic !
* golem city was slightly more interesting in terms of level design
his legs are made of glass
Square Enix being greedy as fuck as usual
Too bad they're also bad with their money and would rather shit out more nulara games.
no sex with delara
It literally is fucking not unless you rush through it. HR had more spoonfed content but was just about as long in total, only guaranteed to pass it if you include Missing Link.
Game had a timed crowdfunded pre order bonus funny none of you even mentioned.
I guess beings with low intelligence truley do have a low period of recolection. What a shame as a crowded funded pre order bonus really made this game stand out as a disaster months before it even released
funny because nobody buys nulara
Fuck you, MD was good. It was a full, wonderful game. I hate all of you and the world for diminishing it.
Is this one good, Yea Forums? I played the first Deus Ex two years back and loved it, but haven't bothered with any of the others. I'm told that IW is trash and not worth anyone's time.
It was rushed, that's it
still has the sexiest hub world ever and is fairly replayable thanks to ng+ and playstyle variation, lethal was a lot more fun than i thought it'd be especially on permadeath mode
>none of you even mentioned
Literally the first post. Jesus christ why are you anti-MD fags so absolutely retarded.
>I guess beings with low intelligence truley do have a low period of recolection
Beings with high intelligence know how to fucking write english
>It was a full
it quite literally wasn't. it was good, but it was cut short for a sequel.
Nothing went wrong, especially with the DLC. Unironically a 9/10 and better than HR.
Also, how is Prey? Looking to try it out because Yea Forums overrates the fuck out of it. Is it THAT good?
Prey is an unironic 10, my friend.
it's not as good as the original but it's still good. mankind divided is also decent despite all its flaws
it's nothing like deus ex if that's what you're looking for
Nothing really, game is functional and delivered what they said they would, I think deus ex is just a shit franchise
Don't expect the same level of depth, but it was a good modernization of the series that kept the spirit intact, and it's one of the best stealth games of last generation
How about you try it out for yourself faggot
The only thing good about this game was the hub. The narrative was garbage. You could tell they were banking on a sequel. You should never do that. Every game should be it's own self-contained thing. I know people bitch about the three-act structure, especially in video games, but it works. Set up, conflict, pay off.
For example, the Jensen we play is a clone, right? We should have had hints that he was a clone at the beginning, we should have met the original Jensen, and something happens because of that. Maybe you have a boss fight with the original Jensen, maybe in his grief he joined the bad guys while clone Jensen has enough free will to defect to the good guys. Something like that. Instead the game is like, "Yeah, well, maybe he's a clone. Maybe" It goes nowhere. A lot in the game goes nowhere.
Compare the intro for Deus Ex (youtube.com
>Also, how is Prey? Looking to try it out because Yea Forums overrates the fuck out of it. Is it THAT good?
prey is great, mooncrash (the dlc) is also very good, but if you play mooncrash, don't use the simpoints or the mule. those are basically cheats for losers. it's very easy to complete without any of that and you learn the characters and the map better if you don't take the easy route.
also, to get the most out of prey, don't be a try hard and just go for the most efficient builds to kill things the quikest.
As for the main game, play it on a high difficulty, and set some limits for yourself, and have fun with it. Do invest in typhon powers. It's more of a sandbox game. If you max out your combat skills it get's too easy and will get boring...
Heard it was a cross of Deus Ex and System Shock.
Pirating it as we speak
>you always start with the ending FIRST and then write backwards
>>>always
>Pirating it as we speak
scum
>Pirating
Prey is worth the money, user.
nah, he's cool
>tfw got up to Golem City a few months ago and just don't give a fuck anymore
There isn't any real challenge, it's too damn easy because I guess they had to accommodate every approach so there doesn't feel like there is a payoff. I just use cloack/silent walking and boom, I'm through every spot.
It sucks too because the production values themselves are excellent, you want to like the game and you can tell there was effort put into world building but to be honest the story elements ("mechanical apartheid"?) can be lame.
Sorry, I only buy console games and exclusively pirate PC games.
If I get the option to get something for free, i'm gonna take it. I'll let you suckers be the ones to keep those corporations afloat
>I just use cloack/silent walking and boom, I'm through every spot.
then don't use them?
prague was cool as fuck but i seriously can't get over ONE HUB
Or the developers could have put in some counters to that tactic.
wtf I hate console gamers now
>RE: Prey
lUrker here. Following what that other guy said.
So to get the most out of it I should get more role-playey skills rather than straight combat skills?
I just don't want to reach a point where I've made the game unbeatable with a shitty build.
That glue gun did look pretty gnarly.
The game is balanced in such a way that it's all but impossible to go with an unplayable build. The game is a lot more fun if you engage with the dynamic systems rather than just the combat.
Good, we don't need Malik.
Ok, cool.
Yeah it seems we've moved beyond the days of potentially gimping builds, but then again who the hell playing Deus Ex 1 made a build all about swimming and wearing chemical suits.
It's not like Fallout 1 and 2 where you can roll a build that is just so bad you can't progress. As others have mentioned, the game is balanced pretty heavily in your favor, so I'd recommend playing on a higher difficulty.
Wrong no post above mine mentioned how the game was crowd funded for pre order bonuses
Also wrong
Yeah, looks like I'll get it. Thanks pham.
