What is the Finnegans Wake of vidya?

Its more like

>wtf this writer misspelled a lot of these words, put random punctuation after every word, words are in random order and its just gibberish
>DUDE GIT GUD AND UNDERSTAND THE NONSENSE

I don't think games are that advanced yet.

I mean, there are a lot of shitty games user.

literally a false equivalency

Like your shitty thread, hang yourself

Based. Fuck Shakespeare and fuck people who use long, complex synonyms for basic words for no other reason than to sound artificially intelligent.

Ya seethe lil guy?

trash

dude shakespeare isnt even hard lmao

Fortnite

Said the guy who replied to me

words
;

its literally nothing like that you fuckin dip

>Everything should be a cinematic "AAA" "Game"

The Void.

goblet grotto

>Making a game hard is a glitch/misspealling

Stop comparing difficulty in video games to other mediums there is literally no real equivalent to difficulty in video games in other mediums, not knowing some words won't stop you from reading the rest of the book, not knowing what the director meant to represent with the scene will not stop the movie and there's nothing stopping you from skipping songs you don't like in the album you bought, there is merit in difficulty and challenge but no other medium, no matter what you think, ever just halts the rest of the media until the consumer gits gud. So just stop, it's painful seeing you guys trying to force these metaphors.

t. videogame journalist

>console commands/cheat engine/cheat codes/save states dont exist
Also a game can go on forever if you want it to

>Why does this movie have a sad ending? It should be happy! Change it to conform to my tastes! I am entitled to enjoying this movie!

Fuck of wall of text retard. There is a difference between
"Wow, this game is bad, here are the mechanics I don't like"
>vs
"Wow, this game (series) is known for xyz, it needs to remove xyz in because I dont enjoy games with xyz"

Go play dear esther.

non-fiction >>>>>>>>>> fiction

I am not complaining devs aren't adding easy modes or skip buttons, I'm fine with hard games, I'm just tired of false equivalences because they are easily refuted by anyone with half a brain and they just hurt people arguing for letting devs make harder games.

>Console commands, cheat codes and save states existing in modern games
>Cheat engine existing for console games

My point still stands.

All of that shit still exists, and them not existing on console is not the fault of the game developer

>Finnegans Wake

Yes it is

>HURRR I IMPLY YOU SAID THIS EVEN THOUGH U DIDN'T
Moron

>not knowing some words won't stop you from reading the rest of the book

it's almost like.... learning the new words and getting better at reading will make the book easier to read.... wow....

Nice argument.

Explain this then why should a (relatively) niche game series known for its difficulty be forced to cater to an audience its clearly just doesn't appeal to?

There is nothing wrong with either being bad at a game, or not enjoying a type of game. What is wrong and childish is feeling entitled that a piece of mead cater to your exact tastes even when doing so would contradict one of the main selling points of said piece of media.

I don't like RTS games, and MOBAs to to the retaredly high apm they need in order to "git gud" at them. So I don't play them.

>Stop comparing difficulty in video games to other mediums there is literally no real equivalent to difficulty in video games in other mediums

Go read Ulysses and come back when you're done being stupid.

Lawrence Sterne did nothing wrong.

>there is literally no real equivalent to difficulty in video games in other mediums
puzzles, sports, and any other type of toy or game.

>Stop using analogies because they are not 100% exact in terms of depicting the situation they are being used to explain.

I don't think you understand what analogies are, or that they aren't expected to exactly explain the situation or ideas they are addressing.

Retard.
