Should I just get a VA monitor next time? My TV is VA and it looks great, a lot better than my IPS monitor with its edge glow. The only "bad" thing is the vertical viewing angle, which I only notice when standing up, which I'm not doing while using it.
Haven't noticed any issues with the response time.

Wii U. It wasn't even that expensive. I mean, few video game things actually are expensive. But it really burned me even though I lost very little. I hate that piece of shit so much and it's someone I really regret having purchased for some reason.

Bought mine used on eBay for $500 total. Thing was practically new. It costed $1000 retail. Personally I think it's a huge time saver to go used on some hardware like monitors. Plenty of people just don't want theirs and you know you won't get a defect if you look and ask. Everytime you buy shit like monitors, you're playing the lottery on how many defects it comes with.

VA and IPS can both be very good in TVs or monitors. It all depends on the model. Some models of VAs look great from a glance but have pretty bad gray uniformity that shows up on any somewhat bright mostly-uniform colored image. Some IPS look great but will have small semi-transparent vertical lines on certain colors like blue and orange and also suffer from glow, but there are some newer IPS from HP and Dell that have almost zero glow when angled properly. IPS have the most uniform image quality but obviously suffer with blacks if you're in a dark room.
