What a shitty fight.
What a shitty fight
favorite boss in the game wanna fight?
No because you're a contrarian faggot
yeah it's pretty bad, it felt half complete, like were monkeys supposed to spawn and attack me while I did this or something?
yes
I'm genuinely not. It was a nice change of pace from the traditional bosses/minibosses with a nice twist. Was waiting for a stealth-oriented boss up to that point and I got a pretty alright one.
Its not a fight, its a puzzle. If you spaghetti your way through it, yeah its shit but its pretty cool when you just do what the game wanted you to do.
You summed up the entire game
No fight in the game was worse than corrupted monk.
>spin to win with infinite stamina (just a prayer bead check for you)
>almost requires an item than needs to farmed to retry
>she has infinite poise so no easy punishes
It was fucking terrible. I get that 'not hard, just tedious' is a shitter meme but she was trivial after I went another way to get more damage and poise. It genuinely felt more like a stat check than a boss you could beat by being gud.
this was sekiros brainlet filter
if you literally had to spend more than a minute running after a monkey you should be embarrassed
I'm with you on this one, user. I thought it was a really cool way to try to incorporate the stealth into a boss fight.
I feel like maybe it could have been executed a bit better, but it definitely wasn't lame or disappointing. Just looking back, it definitely didn't blow my fucking mind or anything.
I feel like I did this one wrong. For most of the monkeys I just caught them out in the open and killed them. After I went through all of the buildings and noticed I was supposed to use them in different ways to sneak up on the monkeys.
First time through I just ran around aimlessly killing the monkeys and ended up winning the fight. It's a puzzle that can be beaten without figuring out the solution, so I don't think it's very good
I just beat them for the third time and I got three of them down without even thinking about the puzzle
If you mean the one in the fishing village then I'd agree. The true monk was good though.
This, desu. Wasn't sure if I did it right or not but I ended up killing all 3 of them regardless of that.
What the fuck are you talking about man? She was easy to parry and didn’t need any items. The second one especially was really fun.
shitty fight by itself but i feel it adds to the overall experience of the game, the Senpou area is by far my favorite level in the game hands down.
despite being From im surprised they even gave us the option to reset the monkeys
I thought it was interesting but could have been fleshed out more. The fact that it's theoretically possible to just run up to them and kill them if you're lucky is dumb. If Sekiro had stronger stealth mechanics it probably would have been a much better fight.
Also a second form after you killed the four monkeys could have been neat. Maybe some kind of combined super monkey that can use all of their abilities.
>Literally the 2nd best fight in the game
>Shitty fight
Y I K E S
I suppose, but my experience was in-line with what was ostensibly the developers intentions so I had a great time.
true monk has been my favorite boss so far, i discovered that if you use the feathers to escape the shadows a couple of times, the monk will return very quickly, sometimes with just 1 use
both first and second phases can be stealth killed too with little effort, if you feel like cheesing it, but still worth to hear the parry clank on one of her full combos
True monk is great and I have to wonder why they even bothered to have a clone boss when O-rin alone would've sufficed.
>by pure chance run into invisible monkey right at the start while looking for items
>orange monkey alerts all other monkeys
>grapple onto tree and kill green monkey easily
>search for purple monkey, run into orange one by chance
>only actually use the wind room to kill purple monkey
The game made it way easier to kill them without the puzzle mechanics
this, how are you supposed to move the seeing monkey to the dark room if he's already on other spot?
i understand the purpose of the fight, but the "trick rooms" were awkward to use
whats the best one?
