Which Mario Party was the best?

The GameCube ones. Except 4

>Except 4
CAPSULES SUCK COCK

7 but I am biased in that as a child I was fascinated by travel so the vacation destination theme of the boards really caught my eye

What's wrong with 4?

Are you honestly trying to defend 4? Even then caps let you manipulate the board which is fucking amazing.

Anyway 2,3,5-8 are all pretty damn good. If only there was a good way to take all their good parts and shove them into a game

You had about 2-3 items and every board was a string of the same floating platforms above the 'theme'. Players didn't interact outside of minigames or happenstance (like the rocket ride). It feels like a graphics tech demo for the GC

1 is my favorite due to it being the first game I ever owned and have hard nostalgia for. 2 is probably objectively the best

every mario party after ds is objectively bad
the first three are the best though

I really liked 1, 2, 3, 6, and 7. 4 and 5 were pretty good too. All the ones after that are pretty eh.

6 obviously, the day/night mechanic was kino.

My wife and I always default to 3 because it seems like it's a decent balance between skill and luck.

Mario Party Discord Tranny

Any from 1-7 are fine. 8 is meh. 9 and 10 are bad. I didn't try SPM yet but I heard it's bland.

8 for very obvious reasons

Why are the first three the best, out of curiosity? I like them too, I'm just curious as to your reasons.

I actually liked 9

>True answer
Mario Party 2

Mario Party 1 or 3

Mario Party 4

Mario Party 5 and 6

Mario Party 9 and 10
Didn't play 7 or 8 so someone else will have to speak up on them.

I can't really put my finger on why, but I like how the menus in the N64 parties were in first person, with the things you select mostly being physical objects/characters in the room.

4 was fine except for the boards being boring

Mario Party Advance and Mario Party DS
i had friends i promise

5 for kart fights damn cool

I think that mostly resulted from the fact that everything took place on a generic-looking walkway. The board environments themselves were mostly alright, but you didn't really get to walk around on them.

I actually like 8 a lot and still playing it with friends nowadays.
Also, i know 10 fucking sucks but the amiibo party mode is actually decent

I rarely actually use the "soul" meme but in the case of mario party it seems to really apply. Super Mario Party, for example, even though it's on a much more impressive technological level, just seems like a complete cashgrab tbqh
I also fucking hate capsules

Only the ones where Donkey Kong is playable.

I can't even remember why exactly I disliked 4, but it was a disappointment compared to 5. To me it slowly went downhill afterwards.

So either 5 or one of the first is the best.

Later Mario Parties are just too nice. I played Super Mario Party the other day for the first time and while it was finally a step up again, it barely had any traps on the field and the maps were way too small, especially considering the dices you can accumulate. Mario Party just needs Bowser panels, malicious events, some VS battles and bulshit like trading coins. That's how you get a good mood going.

This one.

7 as it was my first one now check this 7

2 3 and 6 are the genuinely good ones and the only ones I'd recommend without hesitation, the others all have notable flaws that make them either strictly worse than the above three or niche in the experience they provide

3. Didn't have the best maps, but IMO these were the best minigames. Good balance of skill-based games and luck-based games, which means its fun to play in any group.

1 is overrated IMO, maps are too easy and there's a lot of quality of life shit that needed to get fixed in future games.

2 is also very good.

The GC ones were all ok. I minigames get noticeably weaker in quality, and they also started making the games easier too. Also made things more chaotic.

Wii and beyond just suffered from games that were either way too easy or 100% luck/button mashing, and added a lot of randomness to the board elements that made things too cluttered.

Mario Party Easy Mode

i might be alone here but 8 is the best in my opinion

2>3>Super>1>7>4=5=6>8>>>=10

Minigames too easy? Try beating story mode and going on Intense difficulty

You are not alone MP8bro, see

Played 2-5-7
7 is da best
Pagoda peak FTW.
And then there's the Pyramids. Where friendships go to die.

Advanced. I'm not joking. I don't care if you think I'm retarded.

>bowser party is awfully unbalanced and has a baffling lack of content
>mario party is the car format from 9 but somehow even worse
>classic board format is locked behind amiibo party but they utterly butchered it
we can all agree this is the worst one right

Devils advocate, I actually really liked it. I didnt play 9, though. I thought the car added a cool strategy to the game, less luck and more focus on using your special die for shit like forcing others to go through the bad shit whole you try to hit the good things. Some Mario party you end up with a situation where nobody gets to the star for a long ass time on some boards. I appreciate what they were trying to do.

9 is good fight me
