That's a typo. Meant to say lock. We got the police coming over here many times but my mom would simply deny everything because my father was the only one bringing income home. He wouldn't allow my mom to work and once almost ran her over with his motorcycle at the time she was leaving her job.

Also the most horrific sound when I was a kid to me was the sound of his motorcycle whenever he came back home, usually drunk.
