Well that's a shame because God of War puts a load of focus on a narrative that's not even particularly good.
I didn't make the comparison at first, the other guy did. Now I'm just commenting on the main focus of both of those games and saying how one is better than the other because it does a stronger job of achieving its goal (telling a good story).

Not really. I mean they're doing different things with their gameplay for a start, so it's a hard comparison to draw. Both games are enjoyable to play but to me GoW's combat became a drag because of the low enemy variety. TLoU remained relatively engaging due to the resource management.

I wouldn't call Octopath Traveler overrated. It came and went.

Should be obvious when dumb critics praised DaS2 so much. They don't want to upset fanbases, DaS2 had a lot of hype and critics almost never go against the hype, at least around release.

It still has a complete narrative story arc, they setup a goal, and they accomplish it at the end. The rest of the setup for future games is just the icing on the cake.
