Is there a better fucking track than Wario goddamn Stadium from Mario Kart 64?

Is there a better fucking track than Wario goddamn Stadium from Mario Kart 64?

>two (or more) unintended shortcuts ableing for high skill play
>quite long so eventually in a 4-player race there will be traps everywhere from bananas to fake item boxes
>the big jump at the middle turn the race into a fucking mind game: if you have lightning, you can make other racers fail the jump. But then it can be countered with a Star. If you get a Star early, do you use it inmediatly if you're not first place, or do you save it for the eventuality that is a lightning strike at the big jump BUT with the risk of being stolen by a ghost?

Mario Kart 64 gets fucking complex in Wario Stadium man.

>Hit everyone with that lighting you've been saving, causing them to fall and lose a lap.
>Hit them again with the same trick later.
If feels fun at the moment, although some of the never want to play again.

When I have a MK64 night, our rule is "winner chooses", so I play Wario and I ALWAYS choose Wario Stadium until I get bored after 6 or 7 runs.

If my friends want to play other tracks they must beat me first. Yoshi's Valley and Rainbow Road are favorites of us only because the shortcuts.

Make way MKfags.

>shortcuts you could teach your mom within 5 minutes
>high level
Oh gees.
This game is gonna be miles better than mk8d ,but won't get the scores and sales because it isn't Mario.

Nope, and I'm still pissed that they've yet to bring it back. It's literally the only N64 track they haven't remade yet.

Wario and Waluigi always have the best themed tracks, change my mind.

>implying your mom can do the initial shortcut with Peach seeing that it's the only character she'll use.

They'll probably destroy it to hell and back like they did with Toad's Turnspike. Which is kinda lame seeing how good Royal Raceway turned out.

IIRC both Peach and Toad have issues doing the shortcut constantly. Something about their sizes.

bump

The Oovo IV tracks were GOAT, especially the one where you go on the surface

Yeah, Sewer Speedway.

Tiny Arena > Wario Stadium change my mind

I hope kart racers come back in style with competition to Mario Kart series since the games have gotten stale and boring. The fellas at nintendo need a good kick in the arse to get them making more creative new games.

They just need to bring back MKWii style physics and huge risky shortcuts
MK8 has none of those

The huge ramp that fucks you over if you miss it would definitely be turned into a fall boundary.

I will instantly disregard anyone's opinion who says Mario kart 64 is the weakest of the series

ahem

But that would allow experienced players to completely shit on noobs, which Nintendo doesn't want in their online games.

It was always so much fun fucking people over at the narrow bridge

Which is why the fucking VR system exists

>tfw your "friend" jumps over the wall and completes each lap in 20 seconds
yeah great level

The VR system does absolutely nothing. It's easily the worst implementation of an ELO system I've ever seen.
It's made in a way where even a complete shitter can have high numbers, just so nobody has to feel bad about themselves.

PLUMBER BOY
MOUSTACHE MAN
YOUR WORST NIGHTMARE HAS ARRIVED

Someone post the bridge webm. You know the one.

>E-sports in Mario Kart
I still remember playing MK DS in my childhood. By the time I was done with that game (after a few months) every multiplay game was 4 people autistically snaking the entire map.

I wish I could find this image in a higher resolution
