Gen 4 is still the best and my favorite. Wish it would get more love. While a gen 4 remake would make me extremely happy, they would probably fuck up the actual god tier OST the original had. There should be an option to switch between like some other games do.

I've played Gen V and the story was terrible, all the Team Plasma shit and "let's have a moral quandary about whether capturing Pokemon is okay", it was just fucking nauseating. Gen IV as well was fucking nauseating with Team Galactic, it just felt like unoriginal repetition of the previous villainous groups just with a slightly different name.

Gen 3 literally regressed after 2. Based 4 had to undo it while also perfecting what was laid down after gen 2.

Gen IV is the logical progression to Gen II. Gen III is a semi reboot that got rushed out and has its content split across 8 games.

in gen5 they tried to do the same thing as when they did gen1 and 2

Having just played ORAS I think Hoenn was pretty shit. Way too little variety in wild encounters and a lack of interesting features compared to other titles made me drop it by the 6th badge.
