Like a car, jet-plane, or motorcycle, any motorized vehicle causes adrenaline. So does this Hovershoes.

LOOOOOOVE TRUE
you can sit in an office chair and power it with your feet
LOOOOOOL***** TRUE
if you're too out of shape to walk, you're too out of shape to use these things
the amount of balance and coordination these kinds of things need is deceptive
I want to stand, I want the emotion of rollerskating. I just don't want the paddling effort, which is fatiguing and boring.
You don't "paddle" on rollerskates. When you do it right, you baisically let the gravity do all the work.
Ooo
press wwwwwwww to laugh at ameripigs
Can you?

Could these shoes be a solution for walking in VR?
Have the wheels only rotate one direction, so you can lift one foot forwards and draw it back, then lift the other foot and draw it back, so you're sorta mimicking the motion of walking forward but without actually moving anywhere.
Sideways movement is possible too.
Backward would require the wheels to reverse rolling direction but that could be toggled.
Might be enough to trick the brain with practice.
