All Epic has to do is make their storefront offer shit that steam doesn't have, not go backwards and work their way up to modern steam while snagging games to be on their launcher only.

I support what Epic is doing. Mostly because I consider gaming consumers some of the lowest scum on the planet and I'd much rather support the welfare of developers actually putting in the work to create new games, than fickle morons who don't understand even the first thing about development.

Epic is not doing anything even the least bit wrong. Developers are free to sell their game where and how they choose, and if Epic is offering them a better deal then they are right to take it. The only reason Epic is even able to poach exclusives at all, is because developers are unhappy with Steam. Epic taking exclusives puts pressure on Valve to improve their service or risk losing more and more games, leaving them with only the great quantities of shovelware that get uploaded every day. Retail sales are a two-way street; you can't fuck with your suppliers forever, or eventually someone will come around offering them something better.

"W-well we don't like what Epic is doing, so we're not going to use it at all, see how the devs like that!" Yeah, okay. Good luck with that. I'm not the least bit worried though, because gamers are the most weak, stupid and unprincipled pieces of shit in the world. I like steam sales, so I feel more inclined to shop on their platform because its convenient to also have all my games in one place. and I can even launch non-steam games through steam, so I can keep my library even more organized
