The game was shit though. Only good part was exploring the school and you couldn't even play the whole game co-op only specific dungeons that weren't tied into story mode. The gameplay was really shitty and clunky as fuck.

HOW COULD ANYONE DEFEND THIS SHIT? I downloaded it when it was free on Western PSN so I could see what I missed out on and I feel better knowing I didn't pay up for the CE.
Also how do I have shit taste when I bought the game day 1(just missed out on preorder bonuses and CEs) as an import from Japan. I bought the game cause it looked ok. The lack of co-op and the poor battle gameplay were massive downsides, the school exploration was amazing and fucking perfect though. Not enough to salvage the game but it was well done.

LWA show: Good fun show with some lows and obvious cut corners in the animation department in some lesser episodes.
LWA game: (on my list) Has a small cult following and interesting aesthetics.
I'd say for what short of time it's been around, LWA is one of the fastest growing and more healthy anime franchises in a while. Not to mention it's heavy western appeal.
Obviously something like DBZ, My Hero Academia and Naruto overlap it, but for what's worth Trigger knows how to be a little more selective with their properties.
Here's hoping for season 2 of both this and Inferno Cop and for an Inferno Cop game.

Except it's a Japanese guy saying that, so you have to multiply the intent by 100. "Directing's not really for me..." actually means "The failure of my directing and by extension, the show, will haunt me for my mortal life." It's like Itsuno saying "There were some good things about DmC, I can use them." when it was later revealed by a not Japanese person that essentially meant "I almost quit making games after being involved with DmC." which for a guy at his age, is akin to suicide.
Also, the TV series cursed the IP by Jap superstition standards when it was the last thing that writer worked on before she died. Season 2 killed any chance of more animated LWA, but at least the manga is okay.

I liked it but I think it moved a bit too fast. S1 the hidden words were coming along at an okay pace mixed with alot of regular witch school episodes. But in S2 they got pumped out way too quick, sometimes back to back so it felt rushed.
