I dunno if they're the "Good Guys" but they might be less bad, then again it depends on context too, would a soldier defending his home land so the people living in it from having to suffer or die, be seen as the good guy if he said it's horrible?
A soldier does what he has to while acknowledging what he does is wrong but doing it because there is a reason for it. What a soldier doesn't do at least a sane one is go kill people for fun.
