it's big and bulky, unergonomic, has terrible battery life, and makes games generally look and run worse than they do in docked mode. if you judge the switch only as a handheld device, it sucks. that's why i view its "portability" as a tacked-on gimmick instead of a worthy replacement for the ds line.

they don't need to have the most powerful cutting-edge console on the market, but they should at least be roughly on par with the other two each generation, not lagging ten years behind and expecting the rest of the industry to cater to their special-snowflake syndrome.
