In the early days of Halo 3, a team could fucking dominate the map by controlling the underground shield tunnels. As a result, everybody voted for it. Bungie even recognized their fuckup and added in Boundless,an identical map to Snowbound save for the fact that they removed the retarded shields in the tunnels.

I recently watched the entire series again, and jesus he always had a bit of a problem with pacing but holy fuck season 8 is almost entirely unwatchable. How did going to film school make his videos worse? I tried my actual best but that fucking space odyssey abomination actually forced me to skip forward. Even after that's over, he'll still spend ten or fifteen minutes doing something that could easily be done in three to five. I like master chief bants as much as anybody but whole scenes that do nothing else but banter for like ten minutes straight just hurt to watch.

Even his humor is getting shitty, there's this scene in the latest episode where they search a guy's ass and it's three minutes of gross sound effects that drags on for an uncomfortable amount of time. Don't even get me started on all the political shit this season. Every episode takes about half a year to finish because he wants to make every one an hour or longer.

hot take: the latest arby n the chief episode was way too fucking long and would have been way better if Jon had cut out the entire SJW/Podcast segment. The whole thing was just strawmanning and making generic personas when it would have been totally fine to focus on Adam's return. Arby n the Chief was better when the humor was part of the episode instead of the storytelling being Arby and Chief for comedy, and then everyone else for serious.

Frankly I think the political shit -- up until the latest episode that is -- was perfectly fine because this generation is way more politically charged than things were before. It's undeniable that identity politics have bled into gaming and Jon's portrayal of it is perfectly fine for what it is.

The problem is how he uses it to make jokes. It's lazy ass filler that extends episodes longer than they need to be. Arby n the Chief won't suddenly stop being Arby n the Chief just because a single fucking episode doesn't focus on them.
