I'm pretty the whole dissatisfaction comes from the shit online and stuff like buffering or input lag. Tournament matches are way faster and more fun to watch than 4 and you legitimately feel like the complete roster is generally well balanced.

Smash Ultimate had very little effort put into it outside of just throwing in literally everything that all the previous smash games had without thinking what that would do to the balance of the game.

The whole fucking game is schizophrenic as fuck. Ground speed and extremely fast and reactive but because of how anti-airing works it's better to just jump most of the time because jump attacks have better hitboxes yet the very second you fucking get into the air it feels like the whole game slowed down a good 20%.

Air dodging coming back means jack fucking shit when doing it literally just gives the opponent a free hit anyway. Ground sliding is just fucking retarded now and Ganondorf is actually fucking broken against any heavy weights in the game to the point where he is a counter-pick to them and can consistently fuck them up.

Ultimate feels like it wants to be a anime fighting game but doesn't exactly know how to do it without changing it's whole identity so it settled for fast paced dashing and attacks but slow paced aerials so the game doesn't feel like you're playing on Turbo mode.

Move buffering is the dumbest fucking shit I have ever seen put into a competitive game though. Like what the actual fucking shit were they thinking?

Putting that shit in a PvP game where random fucking shit can happen 3 times every second is just downright fucking retarded because you just get scared to press any buttons at all after a while.

Instead of hogging the ledge, you should be edgeguarding and chasing your opponent off-stage to secure the KO or gimp. Use those recoveries I'm sure you complain about to be proactive, don't just moan because it doesn't play just like Melee in this regard.

Ledgehogging is always one-sided, it usually doesn't matter what the recovering player does, all they can do is hope the person hogging fucks it up, especially characters that don't have great recoveries.
