This wasn't even the first Dark Souls 1 first nerf. Patch

I remember unpatched fog ring. Good times

Shit was waste of a ring slot.even then

Member unpatched crystal ring shield? 'Member unpatched dark wood grain ring?

Still, every fucking invader used for a good while. Made you almost forget about the lock-on feature

>8 months from now Patch 1.06 fix other bugs

Why don't these whiny bitches just use a trainer if they can't beat the game the legit way? It's retarded that the game has to be made easier because people can't git gud.

Remember unpatched toggle cast, or Greater Magic Shield (bugged, provided full invincibility), or TWoP.

>Darkwraiths in New Londo drop Dark Hand
Didn't they do this in Vanilla? Or could you only get it from kaathe? Guess I'm thinking of 3.

>unpatched crystal ring shield
You just made me remember that's how I cleared my 1st run of the game
Ah...and also unpatched Lost Izalith, when all the dragon butts aggro'd you

Oh sorry this is for the original release not the Switch version.

Vanilla tranquil walk, fog ring, crystal ring shield owned.

>Too lazy and entitled to actually learn how to play the game
>Too lazy and entitled to download and install a cheat engine

My guess anyway

>Pyromancers in Catacombs drop Skull Lanterns
So the only way you could get one was in the tomb of giants itself?

They nerfed DS3 too

It would be pretty fucking stupid for Sekiro to have balance patches considering it's a single-player game.
Just leave it alone and put that effort towards a high-quality DLC expansion.

Game journos don't like games. The easier you make them, the easier their job is.

>unpatched Lost Izalith,
Jesus christ those things aggro'd you all the way from demon ruins. Also never forget Quelaag with the infinite health pool, and the bottomless box inventory transfer glitch. Good thing they never patched the item-confirm infinite use glitch.

Half of those things were things in the original version they forgot to put in

>Jesus christ those things aggro'd you all the way from demon ruins
This was fantastic. I remember my first trip through unpatched dragon ass hell

>trainer on consoles

Which patch patched the lock-on. I remember playing the base game and the lock-on was ass

You can use those on JTAG'd, reset glitched and jailbraked consoles. I used trainers on my 360.

It's still ass

I also remembered the infinite item dragon breath glitch
Yeah you could exploit it for free souls, but it was fucking fantastic to invade someone and just shoot a barrage of knives at them

Terrible times. TWOP + Fog Ring was legitimately retarded.

I do miss how nuts CRS was.

Lock on on souls games are always shit, after the DS 1 patch you could at least lock on ghosts.

I remember when Dark Souls 2 got patched and it nerfed magic and miracles but ESPECIALLY Lightning Spears into the fucking ground so hard that even in 3 Lightning Spears were shit.

Fuck Dark Souls 2. Thankfully Dark Souls 1 still has good Lightning Spears.

you think the retards that can't complete the cuphead tutorial can set that up?

Magic is shit in general in 3. It's weak as sin, and all the fun spells got removed.

>waaah I can't just spam long range attacks and cheese the game

It's not even about cheese you retard, it's common knowledge that magic builds are gimped as fuck in 3

Point taken, journos and casuals can't even play the vanilla game, let alone use external programs.

But you can still clear all the PvE content with ease. Despite the nerfs, magic is still strong as fuck in 2, and in 3 you can just sit back and chug blue estus.
It's more of a PvP issue, where you're basically useless in any 1v1 scenario.

They are viable for pve as opposed to ridiculously broken in ds1 and base ds2

>Why do builds exist
That works perfectly fine with magic. Lightning Spear was never supposed to be bread and butter. Its medium damage with relatively few casts and used to supplement your melee.

Its totally worthless in every game past 1. Not to mention the fact that FUCKING SUMMONS exist to cheese the game if you really don't want to actually fight. Just let me have my fucking Lightning Spears. I don't care if its only 3 casts just make it feel like a fucking bolt of lightning for those three casts.

I played through the whole game as a sorcerer. Magic is fine.

Magic is totally okay. Its just a lot more boring. Miracles got ass-fucked and the only good offensive ones are the Lightning Bow and Gnawing but it has been pretty much relegated to secondary buffing. Pyromancy is batfuck insane with how powerful it is.

pyromancies are great and sorcerers that know what they're doing are my most terrifying invaders
offensive miracles and soul dregs by themselves are bad I'll give you that

>sorcerers that know what they're doing
Provide examples, please.

this is dark souls 1 patch that was released after 2 month of release. back then in 2010, yes. it allow you to get more easy thet rare titanit and covenant items.

Except most game journalists aren't gonna give a rat's ass about a balance patch months after release.

i don't have to

In that case your argument holds no substance and you are a faggot.

how about YOU give some examples of why I'm wrong, retard?

Hi

I'd say that fromsoftware should subsequently name these new easier modes "Journalist mode" just stick it to them if they're going to act this way.

Let's see who actually played the game on release here.

Remember when this was the best shield in the game?

>using shields besides the stamina regen one on your back

???

That's how crazy that shield was on release.

Day 1 Dark Souls was poorly designed bullshit and grind.

I wish Sekiro had more weapons than just the katana, seeing how the mortal blade ended up as just a special attack that costs a ridiculous amount of emblems to use definitely dissapointed me
The ninja art weapons are also incredibly dull and except for one or two completely useless

This game sorely needed dismemberment and the violent and bloody cutting down of peasants with your nippon steel instead of stabbing to death every single soldier you come across or just letting them collapse
Cant wait for Genkokujo in Bannerlord, that'll be the day

Attached: 312323.png (807x631, 464K)

When fully upgraded that shield had 85 staibility, 1 more than Havel's at 84.

Where's my bloodborne 4k patch, Fromsoft?!

Attached: Pc096mb.png (484x484, 102K)

Any game you have to grind is bullshit

>seeing how the mortal blade ended up as just a special attack that costs a ridiculous amount of emblems to use definitely dissapointed me
That really was incredibly disappointing

>the problem with playing to win
Is this an edit? IS this satire? Is this loss? Where am I

Pre patch Dark Souls 1 was the hardest Soulsborne game no question. Tomb of the Giants and Blighttown prepatch were a true nightmare.

>tfw someone from Yea Forums on my friends list got mad when I invaded them in Darkroot Garden and killed them with Dark Bead
I think he legitimately unfriended and blocked me, lmao

Attached: 1535467102546.gif (225x324, 3.36M)

Counterpoint - prepatch Shrine of Amana.

Good, dark bead is cancer.

Just roll nigga, I have 9 vitality

I don't know why that guy is pretending to be me, but
>soul mass backstepping
>crystal soul spear setup roll catch
>free aiming soul spears
>snap freeze + moonlight greatsword
>madmen that snipe with soul geyser
sorcerers that understand latency, spacing and their toolbox are absolutely devastating in invasions

I haven't played Sekiro yet but there's no dismemberment or decapitations? what the fuck

Lightning Arrow is really fucking good and bleed miracles shit on PvE.

Prepatch dark souls was a badge of honor. I’ll never forget the dragon asses.

Sekiro is only hard because of the high damage numbers from bosses. Once you don't die in 1-2 hits, all bosses become very easy. Positioning and other shit like that is not important in Sekiro at all, the difficulty is very uninspired.

You wouldn't be using it with 9 Vit if it wasn't effective, easy to use and hard to avoid.

Definitely up there but I don't think it beats Tomb of the Giants and the dogs aggroing from halfway across the map and two shotting max vitality characters. Those dogs were the worst enemies I've ever faced in the entire franchise before they nerfed them.

You're right I should only use Great Heavy Soul Arrow and Controlled Fall when I'm fighting people, that's just fair.

Did they fix the hit box on the remaster because the reason Dark bead was so bullshit is that it's hitbox was 2x bigger than the actual particles

Came here to post this. I remember getting it as one of my first drops and it felt like the game was too easy.

>not CRS
found the scrub

You can't snipe with soul geyser any more
They nerfed its range to basically same-room-only like a month or two after people actually started using it
