Forbidden Forest sucks, and it always has. Byrgenwerth is its atrophied little pimple, and Rom is the purulent lump of turd inside said pimple, surrounded by its gay little spider friends.

Ya'hargul is fucking awful, with annoying retreads of enemies that get buffed and reanimated by tedious bell witches, and its main boss, The One Reborn is one of the worst bosses From has ever made.

Paarl is either comically easy by this point, or frustratingly tedious, depending entirely on your stats and weapon upgrades. On that note, Ebrietas quite similarly is a boss whose difficulty can be entirely tied to your hp stat at that point in the game, which makes her tentacle sweeps deadly or just a minor inconvenience, allowing you to fuck her bifurcated mess of a vagina face up.

Both nightmare realms are a chore to go through, with frenzy mechanics and poison pools and enemies which feel bloated in health and overcooked in damage. Ironically, all three of the bosses in said realms are garbage, Amygdala being a pushover, Micolash being a joke, and Wet Nurse being a wet rag.

Celestial Emissary isn't even remotely threatening or engaging, and relies entirely on its horde to even justify the bosses health bar. It's plainly obvious that the living failures were meant to stand in its place.

It's also a shame that the upper cathedral ward is so short considering its brilliant atmosphere and tenseness. I'd have much preferred a longer, dreadful trek there than Mensis or Frontier.

So you're left with three late game bosses, Ebrietas, Logarius and Gehrman which really offer any sense of challenge and satisfaction compared to the massive difficulty drop off at Amelia.

This is why the DLC is so fundamentally important to Bloodborne, it fixed the multiplayer, lore, game variety, but more importantly, it fixed the shitty endgame of Bloodborne, which was prior to its release, chalice dungeons.

Not as bad as the latter half of DaS1 though.

First half of Forbidden Woods is fantastic but otherwise I agree

I’m playing sekiro right now though and it has some pretty fucking fantastic bosses, so I’ll just have to wait and see if I enjoy the overall experience even more than DaS3.

The game is already too easy. If you have full blood vials it becomes a cakewalk. If you don’t have any blood vials and want them then you need to spend time doing boring grinding that requires absolutely no skill. It’s a lose-lose situation. Either the game is too easy because you’re beating it without getting hit, or it’s too easy because you get way too many healing items. Every other game in the franchise does this better.

The souls sequels were a big fucking disappointment. FROM should stay the fuck away from doing sequels. DaS2 PvE was stale, and DaS3's had an extra case of Artorias Syndrome with its bosses, along with a crippled world design, in terms of aesthetics and map design. BB's fast paced combat was liberating, but DaS3's felt like a cheap imitation.
