>US GAMERS AMIRITE
They should talk about in on one of their poker table games, maybe even make a bet about it!
:>)
desu I didn't realize so many people cared about Borderlands. I thought they were pretty mediocre
Most people don't care. It just makes for good steam vs epic shitposting material.
Let alone caring enough to buy yet another incomplete game and not waiting for the GotY edition.
>loli on his thumbdrive
remember, Randy is ourguy
Why not just use steam and epic's store?
I don't give a fuck about Borderlands. I just enjoy all the drama on Yea Forums concerning Epic.
>18 is now loli
Unbased and bluepilled
I still don't get why he's going to EGS
Is it a bribe from the gooks?
Does he think the 88:12 profit ratio is gonna make a difference despite having way less sales than if it were on steam?
Or is he just flat out retarded?
Guaranteed money from epic for exclusivity > maybe make money on steam and other platforms. People here seem to forget that videogames are a business.
Is Randy hitting menopause? Swear I haven't seen a woman with wilder and severe mood swings.
Yes, it is a bribe, because egs is guaranteeing a minimum payout regardless of sales, so even if it doesn't hit a certain threshold they guarantee money
They pay for a minimum number of sales. For them to be willing to do this meant Epic shelled out a FUCKING SHIT TON to have it be exclusive. This isn't an indie game.
>he
technically it's not him, it's take two, take two is the reason this and the outer worlds are on EGS
take two are bigger jews than people realize
randy has absolutely no say over the decision and it's really fucking weak to pretend he has the game hostage to try and nudge at gabe to do something
>legit
They give publishers a higher cut both in the form of no royalties for Unreal engine and a smaller cut from the revenue like you said.
On top of that they give a flat bonus of what must be millions of dollars if such a big profile game is to take the bait.
Basically this puts the consumers in a position where it doesn't matter if you don't buy it, it's still making a shitzillion dollars.
It's pretty hype but yeah it has just been month after month of Epic stealing games from us. If they don't keep doing it people will forget about them. They have to keep buying big titles to stay relevant but the truth is a lot of people really don't want to use a chink launcher. So we will wait and pirate and shitpost.
What was the context for this?
Not really considering how much fortnite rakes in.
>he
Randy isn't publishing the game, Take Two is. Whoever handles publishing handles distribution.
>as you all are going for Borderlands 3
Randy made shit up about how he won the "Gearbox" name in a poker game with Gabe on a cruise boat.
>a man who, according to everyone he has worked with, is notoriously lazy and procrastinates with everything
>leaves his flashdrive at Midevil times, several hours away from his home
>refuses to let anyone else go get the flashdrive
>for the first time in his life is proactive about "work" and drives to get in at night
>refuses to let anyone else see it because "company secrets"
>Randy later confirms it was a video of a "possibly" underage girl squirting that he was "studying for a magic trick"
Literally fuck off
Randy is a diddler
That isn't even including the Gearbox manager who was going through a sudden divorce with his wife, and some of the files she requested were stored on Gearbox servers. Randy couldn't give those up because of "company secrets" too. I wonder what she saw that made her do that.
>Curious about The Peacock Theater? It’s where the greatest variety artists in the world perform. Follow Madame Peacock
>as you all are going for Borderlands 3
Coming from the guy who made his own subreddit for porn of that one flop and and iirc wrote a threatening email to himself, I don't think I'll even think about his words.
So its technically justified into pirating it since Epic game is paying for your pirate?
Badass
>steam vs epic shitposting
The whole steam vs epic thing is unironically constructed by literal epic shills. It's all an attempt to paint a picture of it all being just about steam and epic, with steam being a monopoly and epic being the healthy harbinger of supposedly much needed change.
Except that's not the reality of things at all. There already have been tons of alternatives to Steam, almost all better than Epic to boot. And Epic is fucking over all those other alternatives as well.
what the fuck
Is it really pirating when epic is footing the bill? The devs and publishers get money regardless of how well the game sells so technically it's just epic paying for your copy.
>On top of that they give a flat bonus of what must be millions of dollars if such a big profile game is to take the bait.
I think they couldn't have paid as much as the other ones this time because it's only exclusive for 6 months
It's literally just me and a few other people spamming the catalog and ban evading you nutjob.
last one
I'm not sure if Borderlands explicitly invented the "looter shooter" but it certainly made the genre popular, and the genre is STILL popular despite being plagued by high-profile disasters. Borderlands 3 will do well. Even if the timed Epic exclusivity is a bad move, consumers will have amnesia and still buy it en masse on Steam.
>I will break contracts, burn bridges, and lose money over a game I have no stake in
He's so fucking weird. His personal life, his business life, his overall reputation; just fucking weird.
What exactly are you pointing out with these images? People spamming Yea Forums is nothing new.
We also need to take into consideration the fact that the genre itself is very forgiving, both Destiny and Destiny 2 began as veritable shitshows but eventually went on to become successful products, the same goes for The Division on PC.
Huh?
they? the people?
no, the Borderlands (plural)
This was such a stupid lie to tell that it infuriates me. Randy is a legitimate retard. What did he think would happen?
>people
>shills
It's just shitposting. Same with the hourly twitter screencap threads.
