Comfy Outward thread.
Comfy Outward thread
I want to enjoy this but I just can't. The combat is so goddamn messy and barebones.
They're trying to be dark souls but the combat has none of the weight, nor the animations that make this work.
>Friend refuses to play because "The game is clearly not designed for co-op" as only one character gets quest rewards
Welp.
Yeah, I was disappointed after seeing people describe it as
>souslike
so many times.
We need comfy thread as a refugee from this super-uncomfy game.
>Having to share stuff instead of ending up with a fuck ton of loot and money you'll never use
Actually sounds nice, your friend is a fag
Not an RPG and there's nothing wrong with it not being an RPG.
This game has the single worst defeat mechanic I have ever seen in a game.
>Trying to be dark souls
Are soulsfags the reddit of gaming?
devs themselves have said so you mong
A challenger appears.
I like it, you get punished for waking up somewhere randomly which is tedious but also sometimes you get kicked out of the area/dungeon you were exploring but not losing your stuff is a god send considering how many cheap deaths you'll face.
>sekiro threads
waaaaaah why is it not dark souls
>outward threads
waaaaah why is it not dark souls
It plays more like kingdoms of amalur but that description doesn't help because nobody played that game.
>all of these outward shill thread
>all 404 almost immediately after
forty keks
I played the tutorial and left, waiting on the refund. Artstyle isn't for me and the very little combat I played has a shitty MMO feel to it.
Maybe I'll give it a try after it leaves EA or something.
How is "you get knocked out and maybe you get rescued by an ally who leaves you nearby, or takes you someplace safe far away or wind up in the enemy camp or prison" the worst mechanic ever?
If i started the holy mission can i still do the quests at berg and side with the bluecucks? I fucking loath shreks swamp and want to get out of here asap as soon as i buy all the skills i need.
This game makes Yea Forums unnaturally autistic, the hate is unbelievable. It's a good game and there's a lot to talk about eric settle down.
No, it tries to play like Dark Souls because the devs themselves wanted it to play like Dark Souls. I know you're retarded, but try reading this very slowly until you get it.
I told him the same.
>Dude, it's actually a balancing feature as otherwise we'd steamroll everything.
He wasn't having it, clearly a 'design oversight' etc.
Is the shield bash skill in the first town good?
i think you're friend is right
yes
It gets you killed more often than not and there are better simple magic skills to rekt someones impact meter
t.sword and board connoisseur
That depends on if you value defense or offense. From playing and seeing APs, defense is your friend early on unless you're good at getting out of the way of attacks
no to many recovery frames and long start up, does not reliably stagger stay away.
Do people make silver with fishing?
Oh, how did you like the tutorial? Especially soundless gates and elevator that does not even go back up?
We just had a full thread, m8.
I did encounter one lever that didn't work at the end of one of the tutorial paths, and a wall texture that wasn't aligned with the geometry. Oh and the background music, the fuck was up with that?
Eh, every one of them gets 500+.
Well I died to poison in poison zone (my fault, but tutorial is for learning right?) - elevator would not go back up, leaving me with only option to jump down. But the drop is lethal.
>Well I died to poison in the tutorial
That happened to me as well I just laughed because it's the early access jank i was expecting.
They patched it though so it seems like a lot of people pointed out the fuck up
>Each elevator in the tutorial can now be toggled with their respective levers.
I love these threads because of the anti shills, shills and people in between
If you're just starting buy a pick, next go to the bandit camp to the left of the starting town, it's not that hard and pick up everything. Buy a backpack too to carry all the shit you find there. Pick up everything and sell it, roleplay as a hobo like you're picking up empty beer bottles to trade for food stamps because it all adds up.
So all the factions require you to have mana unlocked right? Can you change the amount of mana you want later on or do I need to decide on how much I want now? Also should I visit the faction whose path I'm gonna take before I take it or are there no benefits to that?
no
yes
yes
Are they still releasing patches all the time?
It should be noted you have to give up life and stamina to get however much max magic you want and you can't get it back. But you can always dump more health and stam in if you want more.
Tell me about this.
Alright thanks. Still not sure which faction to join, tho I know I won't join the Blue Chamber faggots. Guess I'll just pay the other two a visit and see what happens.
Coop also doubles enemy health, which makes the game fucking stupid.
Currency = exp in this game, it's an rpg get over it.
Where's the katana at so I can make my weeb build?
Coop is ridiculously fun. Get better friends.
She's some kind of deity or something, she gives you the dagger on the boxart for returning her red lich statue that the The First Cannibal (wendigo boss) hordes.
Stats make RPGs. There's nothing wrong with this game not being an RPG.
>all the time
no they're mostly concentrating on fixing console bugs
>souls
>good combat
>literally 1 attack button
the game is meant to played in co-op
they cant have katanas as they'd break the combat system
Confimred for not having played the game
>Health
>Stamina
>Magic
>physical defense
>Magic defense
>All the different elemental resistances
>Bleeding damage
>poison damage
>All the elemental damages
>Prerequisites for skills to learn
>passive skills increase YOUR STATS
Where the goalpost heading to next?
I can't wait for consoles to get killed by streaming.
Anybody figured out the trick to the Starfish Cave? Right on the beach south of Cierzo. It's flooded and I can't advance but obviously you can get rid of the water somehow. I can see some Blue Sand to gather down there.
Does the fire AND the physical damage stack with the 3x damage backstab skill?
It's more like dork sools where you pop in to help out the host. Only now you can chill and play the entire game together.
Never used dagger skills so I can't answer that.
>literally 1 attack button
literally factually incorrect
this entire game is a poor witcher and dark souls clone with a tiny bit of fable
I vaguely remember there being a lever somewhere but i'm not 100% sure.
The backstab skill is insane, you get it from vendal fort south of cierzo, you get captured and become a slave, there's a lady in there that will teach you the skill for a shiv that you can make out of the materials in the dungeon you're in. It's crazy useful in coop, haven't tried it solo but with shitty gear you can chunk a wendigo 3/4ths of their health in one shot.
Let nature do it for you user.
You are right, I just thought so because the previous thread ended with two guys claiming stats don't make an RPG.
It drains at night.
Do you have to die inside of the fortress to get captured?
Nope, just talk to the bandit friends inside the fort and they'l whisk you away to a wonderful job mining ore. They take away all your stuff but it's literally right in a different room you can get to by telling the guard you want to work in a kitchen or with a medic. It's well worth it imo it might be the most broken skill iv'e found yet but requires you to be behind people which is hard solo. Pretty easy crazy damage when a friend has an enemies attention though.
>no levels
>rpg
Nice, I'll pay them a visit then.
Is there crime like stealing?
You're retarded trying to bait for easy (you)s
sneed
No you can loot everything in towns (towns are usually scarce) even rip all the berries off bushes and then sell it back to the starving peasant farmers you stole from.
Yes the devs charging as much as they do for this game.
There is no crime system.
define an rpg then
I JUST REALIZED THERE ARE HEAVY ATTACKS AND COMBOS
LITERALLY NOONE TOLD ME
I think you are replying to the wrong user
Well gee i don't know maybe a game where you play as a role, or roleplay in a game.
Your inner ADHD zoomer got the best of you, don't let it happen again zoom zoom or the boomer police will scold you.
A role in a narrative sense or mechanical
either
I dont like any of the skill trees
come play with me anons
pass: sugarfoot
Ok then Outward is an rpg
>half life is an rpg because you play the role of freeman
durrrrr
Try pressing your mouse buttons.
you won't trick me hill i know you'l be shit
your nitpicking has no power over me baiting neckbeard you knew what i meant, go kys yourself
>has no power over me
yet you still reply to obvious bait
That doesn't sound right is dmc an rpg because you play the role of dante?
>comfy
>it's actually shit
Every time
At this point everyone has their own definition of rpg. All i'm saying is that an rpg is a literal roleplaying game.
>can't decide between childhood friend route or mommy route
25 hours and addicted
i stay awake untill i almost feel like im passing out, i sleep only 4 or 5 hours then wake up to play
Many things in this game are frustrating and broken but its still a lot of fun.
I got a trojan from the fitgirl repack. Fuck it wasn't worth it
Same, how far are you? I'm only just finishing exploring half the swamp after exploring 90% of the first area. I have decent gear and decided to stick with spell blade with a shield, it's pretty dope. What kind of character are you building?
Pirating is wrong and you deserved what you got.
So what's the deal with Shaman? It looks pretty good for my playstyle, stronger boons and the weapon infusion particularly, so I might spend my last Breakthrough point on it. But what does "activated wind totem" entail?
I'm curious about this too.
it definitely wasn't from the repack
I knew Outward was going to be comfy as I was changing some settings before ever playing it. When I saw the presets under Video, I knew. "Ultra-Very High-High-Medium-Low-Very Low-Potato". I knew. Any dev with the sense of humor to name a preset "Potato" is a 10/10 dev.
is this eurojank?
I liked KCD, I'm not using eurojank as an insult
Quebecois-jank
Every area has a totem you have to activate, when you activate one you get to use wind magic in that area
Yes and i like both. Outward feels like morrowind if it was created by incredibly smart literal slavic monkeys who had never touched a computer before they started coding. They put yandere dev to shame but the game is fun
Trust Elatt brother. Join us.
If you think KCD was eurojank, this is far far worse.
Comfy, but extremely janky.
It's a false positive
>ywn rub against her clammy fetherless chickenflesh
>those calves
who is this semen demon?
>playing the game, staying in the first area and the forest
>think the soundtrack is kinda meh, even bad sometimes
>get to the swamp
>mfw that theme
>mfw that battle theme
Damn, is the desert music this good too?
That's what I figured, I saw them on the map. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't some major headache like they're only active for a certain amount of time or something stupid.
You don't know Maisie Williams?
>you will never close your eyes while cumming to avoid looking at her ogre face and cum all over her hair
This life is overrated
Lol, try harder.
I wonder who should I trust, most reputable repacker in the internet or random user who is probably dev shilling to dissuade people from pirating his game?
>he doesn't want a massie goblin gf
you fucked up
Yea I fucking hate outward but the OST is banging.
Ive been rerolling to try out different weapon skills due to my ocd making me want to experience the game fully as the chosen weapon type, the furthest ive gotten is more or less completing the first area,
Im planning on starting again with bow.
Ive developed a certain easy starting method
1. Loot everything in town and pre-cave area of storage and sell stuff. (cook up stuff, sell excess food. Selling excess food is one thing to learn to do in this game)
2. Buy iron weapon of choice and get skill then run out front gate to the right and down to beach to get favor.
3. Clear the beach, There should be time. This can be hard untill you learn how combat works. Rush up and kick a shrimp, this takes it to half health. Then start comboing it to flinchlock it. Once it gets up you must dodge a few times and repeat. This is not possible with bow since you wont have the arrows for it yet.
4. Return to town, hand it favor, rest till morning.
5. Run to the abandoned fort north of mana mountain and loot the ghost flowers and chest there. Then loot the chest in immaculate cave. Get the 4 iron nodes on the mountain between town and mana mountain. Loot the small beach north of these mountains. Kill any chickens or hyenas or bandits that are opportunistic here along the way. Return to town and sell everything.
6. You should now have over 100 silver. Cook up 6 travel rations, sleep untill the next day and head to berg (remmeber to take the delivery quest from the general store before leaving). Buy a prospector backpack and an adventur lantern if you can afford it. Turning in the delivery quest nets you a gem you can sell for 60 silver as well. Buy anything you need and run back to starting area. You should have just enough time to run there and back before nightfall. Now you have good backpack to explore rest of first area with
Ive dont this like 5 or 6 times by now.
>half health.
half stability bar
>half health
Game would be so much better if this was the case.
post more about the decisions you make and your route, i like posts like this more than the rest i've seen so far.
What melee weapons do you favor?
should i visit every area in the first map before leaving it?
I unfortunately horde everything I find which is dumb as fuck i want to start going lighter weight.
So far the only good thing in this game I saw was candle bro from the magic cave. I would take forver to dance around this stupid horde of monsters by myself.
Goblin girl is just because golblin girls are awesome.
This was actually (sort of) how AD&D worked. There was no XXX EXP for killing a monster but instead, gold.
I'm just now realizing 2 hours into the game that my stats don't increase unless I get better armor and skills increases.
>mommy route
explain please i need this
This game looks kinda like elex (complete trash), but is it really?
Anyone know if the skill is useful solo?
I fucked up and picked up the executioner skill from the beginning. So far it seems like shit.
This game is about as far from comfy as it gets. It's a shit-tier Kenshi ripoff without any of the interesting mechanics.
>Elex
>trash
Get the fuck out of here, zoomer.
protagonist is ugly
Hit a downed enemy with it. You should hit them with a kick or other stance draining ability then combo freely and when they fall, execute them. You will almost always kill the enemy like this. Greataxes are good and become even better when you get the ones that inflict bleeding
How do you like spellblade? Seems not super useful when you can just use rags.
>What melee weapons do you favor?
I like greataxe the best out of the gate. Its heavy attack is good to use as its default attack, and light->heavy gives you an aoe move. For one handed weapons ive only really tried sword as i was going for the allegedly very strong brand+horror dagger+blue-whatever faction quest reward armor, but i got frustrated by the swords slowness. This was an earlier roll of mine and in retrospect it wasn't so bad. every weapon has finicky things and i did not master the power of kick then.
>every area
no, some are very 'high level'. Ive not got very far mind you, but i feel like you should branch out into connected zones overworld first. Judge areas by the enemies you see. Thanks to tripwire traps (2 scrap metal+1wood+1linen = 5 tripwires, 4 scrap metal = 3 metal spikes) you can kill things very hard if you have the setup time for it. Doing this you could probably kill wendigos or even manticores with shit gear but inside caves and dungeons you dont always have setup time.
>hoarding
selling stuff off is a skill to aquire. I try to only keep things i absolutely need or are very rare. Silver is after all progression, and even stuff you might need later (alchemy ingredients, or even some alchemy potions) are probably better sold now and farmed later in my opinion.
Remember not to cook too much either. When every you cook freshness resets. So extend some items.Save that meat in your chest. Once it starts getting low cook it into food, just eonugh to use. If it starts going bad, turn it into travel rations.
The only stuff i really tend to hoard are trap related things just because i never know when i will need to use a shitload of them for something. The forced bandit attack mission, for example, can be done completly with traps safely since you must initiate dialogue for them to become hostile. So just set down 10+ traps for the boss and a few extra clusters of 3 or 4 for the adds. You can always recover traps that arent spent
>he didn't get drunk with crock
What a faggot
>no, some are very 'high level'. Ive not got very far mind you, but i feel like you should branch out into connected zones overworld first.
This is objectively wrong. You should be able to full-clear all the non-story/faction related locations on a map before moving on.
>people saying the sigils only work with one spell in the last thread.
>The push mana spell cast in wind sigil and frost sigil impacts it
>The damage blocking spell from philosopher causes explosions when cast inside sigils, the fire one setting you on fire and increasing your fire damage by 30%
>Sigils stack
I don't know the numbers but it feels like it gives you a buff that's better than the base rages, i do a lot of damage and having some spells like the wind push is nice. Like i said i'm not too far in, i'm buying the spell that consumes the enchant buff to shoot a tanged missile of that element because i need a ranged option. The shield is invaluable, i can't imagine running through this game without one and i'm always a dex fag that likes to dodge. The shield spells are also nice. I'm also guessing ill be able to use fire rag> Use spell to consume buff > shoot fireball forever so that will be broken if true.
Not him but rags
also my favorite easy to obtain foods:
azure shrimp + rainbow trout + larva egg + seaweed
gives a very nice health and stamina regen food
chicken egg + ocher beetle + any fish = something that heals burned health and stamina
Both of these are things i had to learn to start doing. I was just selling fish (after unlocking all the recipes, i OCD recipe unlock everything i can). But these recipes are useful. I was turning every bug into tea. Tea is nice but you primarily use it for stamina healing, so you might as well make the paste instead to heal health as well. The benefit of tea is it keeps forever.
Im sure there is better food later on but these are first zone things that can make quite a difference.
Also pick every ghost flower you see they can drop the crystal powder the first town alchemist wants. The quest is repeatable and you get more silver than selling them directly to an npc gives, as well as 3 alchemy potions. I keep these in storage since i have an easy way to stock up on them passively.
The delivery quests for general stores are also repeatable. There is probably the potential for an optimized repeatable quest circuit for this game that would be profitable if you had all the movement speed gear.
>should be able to
sure, because there are no levels and you have access to things like elemental rags and traps right at the start. But some are probably best saved for later when they are easier when there are easier things to do in other zones.
Yea i hope there's more friendly npcs you can group up with, being a solo player and having to fight groups of foes sucks, I end up needing loads ot traps to even the numbers.
Yea gobbos are great.
yea i'd compare it to elex
>cast boon
>not enough to cast infusion
>cast boon and infusion
>never use it
>cast boon and infusion
>disappears in 1 hit
nah I'm done with infusions
i disagree someone going to ghost pass or vigil tower without mist boon/mist potion or mist varnish will have a bad time, I don't think you can even really get all the silver you need for the blue sand armor in the first zone. And you don't know if you're squeence breaking i cleared veandal hill fortress only to later find out it was related to a quest and it skipped all the dialog and choices and all sorts of shit, whenever anons talk about how you can talk to the warlords i always wonder what they meant then i realized i'd killed all of mine before i ever went to berg.
Mods incoming, boys.
They give you a bunch of varnish in ghost pass.
>i disagree someone going to ghost pass or vigil tower without mist boon/mist potion or mist varnish will have a bad time,
Or you just use one of the magic trogladyte sticks that do ethereal damage they've been throwing at you 24/7.
what is mommy route
I literally have 50 mana at all times and have enough to cast both a few times and wind push to boot. And it doesn't disappear in one hit it lasts almost an entire dungeon run if you git gud.
they give you some still doesn't mean that without mist boon or mist varnish or blue sand armor you wouldn't be better off, you learn how to make and get that shit in berg and let's say you use all your varnish and then want to go to vigil tower more ghosts or the ancient ruins? more ghosts and pirates
what if they sold them all because they think magery is for fags
I had enough varnish to complete the entirety of ghost pass when I went through it. I never made any and never got any from outside the dungeon. I would just varnish my trog staff and beat ass. The ghosts are really fucking easy since they spam the weird lifesuck move and then you just knock them on their ass.
Ghosts are a push over even with fang weapons anyway, just make your own fire rags from the alchy crystal powder meth dealer in cierzo and rekt them. I cleared all three with shite gear with that method, two at a time are a death sentence though.
You can hurt ghosts with fire damage as well as ethereal.
how tf do I craft bullets
Probably need to practice. I haven't figured out how or what stagger does as they just attack through my swing
Just bless your weapon dude. Or are you a fucking nonbeliever
Iron+oil
The one that is not osananajimi route.
Seriosly, i think he was referring to Blue Collective faction since the town mayor or whatever will adopt you and become your mommy if you join them
thank u user
the stability bar you see when locked on.
When they are at 50% or less, every time you hit them it flinches them
When they are at 0%, they are knocked down and then when they stand back up they are back at 100%
Kick, a skill you start with, puts them to 50%. It seems to just automatically set everything to 50% in my experience.
Considerations to make. Low stability damage weapons actually combo better with kick, because you have a longer period of potential flinch locking or interupting. It might even be worthwile to not attack and wait for their stability to come back some so you can flinch them again. With a fast weapon and proper management of the enemy stability bar in a 1v1 situation you can potentially just interrupt every attack they do and keep them in this 1-50% stability range the whole fight
Heavy weapons will tend to knock things down very fast however. Knocking down is actually a bad thing in my opinion unless you are using great axe. You are probably better off just powering through enemies with heavy weapons.
This also means the rage buff that increases stability damage might not always be optimal to use
You can get an upgraded aoe kick from rogue trainer.
That grey bar below their health is pretty much their poise meter. Below 50% they stagger when hit and at 0 they fall on their ass and get stunned for like 1.5-2 seconds. Maces do the most impact damage while swords do the least.
Will this replace a preset or will it be a new one?
i imagine to keep multiplayer compatibility they will need to replace
Which monster drops scaled leather? I've heard the dinos in the swamp do, but there's like 3 kinds.
>No quiet village girl waifu
>No Holy paladin waifu
>No Voodoo Waifu
>No No Strong Mercenary waifu
wasted potential
It's pretty hard to make a waifu when all the women look like goblins.
They all do
Alright nice. Thank you user.
>Get to Abrassar
>Forget I just dismantled all my spare clothes for bandages.
>Now running half naked to Levant
I wish they'd look like goblins. Goblins are actually cute.
Need a ultra high res texture mod.
>>pirate a copy from IPTorrents, fall in love with it.
I think when I get paid next I'm going to pick it up.
feelsgoodman
Same. I'm running an old laptop and wasn't even sure if it'd run. Hopefully paying for it will mean the devs will improve some of the jankyness like trying to walk on roofs and combat
Can you finish this game without any magic? As in pure melee.
Yea you just need magical weps or Consumable buffs
is there a steamworks fix for this game? i was thinking about seeing if a friend would play and neither of us have money atm
Do I have to join a faction before getting a house?
Yes, the alternative is just dropping a backpack down and using that and a storage and dropping a tent or sleeping at the inn.
some niggys say putting food in chests stashs stops them from decaying but i can't comfirm, if you really want to be laz get one of those plant tents and put them down, then you won't need to worry about food or water while resting and wont need to pay the inn for that, you miss out on the stamina bonus though, also berg make you PAY for the house, i think levant lets you maybe get it via a quest or pay not sure about the third.
Share your class build ideas.
Hybrid
So I'm thinking
Mace 1h + Shield
Monk, Spellblade not sure what a good magic tree for melee would be though.
who teaches philosopher shit? what city?
Monsoon
Thanks!
>decide to mod
>make shit uglier
good on ye ma8
Devs still shilling this mess 24/7?
>tfw just 100% Chersonese
k i n o
can you wear helmet while using the skeleton costume?
Mount mod when
Yea. I guess they think this is "marketing".
don't spend your money on our jankshit game
t. devs
no i do it for free
>all scaled armor with a nice dagger and bow
Dps build is the way to go with friends
Why? What do you hope to achieve?
spread the word about a good game, my friend
I will stop you
I just can't get into it. The combat feels unresponsive.
Why? What do you hope to achieve?
unresponsive is a hell of an understatement
it's animation lock hell hit trading jank shit
lol git gud
A fair and unbiased view of the game, my friend
How is it co-op
Whoops meant for
no one comes to 4channel for fair and unbiased views
Melee combat is JANK learn to use skills and or magic and or traps.
Treat it like a moba
If you can't trust a stranger on the internet what he thinks about a video game, who can you trust?
trust your own eyes and decide for yourself
>smash attacks
>can't cancel out of a swing
>waaaah melee jank
just reach higher level of skill
shit
you won't believe it anyway, you'll just cry shill
like literally just fuck off and die, you won't like the game, if you cared you'd have pirated it already and learn for yourself that it's shit
now I'm sitting on 6 alpha sandwiches so I've got to go jank, peas out
You win this time shills
But our eyes aren't real.
>set up fuckton of traps
>can't keep black cock agro for once because fucking bandit and electro shrimp keep spawning
got a real nice shield from one of the bandits bbc murdered though. the real pisser is when I killed the electric shrimp that killed the bbc, I led it far enough away that three more spawned near bbcs body. I manged to loot it eventually but I died before I could salvage my traps.
but I wound up in best waifu's arms and asked for peggingshe said no and gave me power
It is but its more of a survival game. make traps, use poison rags, hit and run. Its not about combat its about doing stuff.
This game have the single worst "combat system" I have seen in any game so far. Its like it tries to copy souls, but enemies have recovery time shorter than your twohander swing and just poise through with no way to avoid being hit.
I dont know why anyone would play this when Sekiro is out.
the only thing I want from this game is some common fucking sense from the menus. like when I make a campfire kit, 99% of the time I'm going to use it RIGHT then. if crafting a campfire kit just went ahead and activated the kit the 1% of the time I just want to carry it around I could just cancel the placement and save so much time. Even better would be when I'm on the wood in inventory, directly be able to craft the damn campfire.
Instead every goddammed thing you do you have to go through the entire list of items.
>kill hyenas, bandits and shrimp no problem
>come across some wendigo looking motherfucker
>slaps my shit dead in two hits
okay
are there more like her?
Yeah.
I wonder what her water tastes like haha
I guess I'll only pirate it to try it out.
>started playing with friend
>my character got stuck under some background decor boat
>friend assumed I was just being an idiot with the control
>nope, neither of us could get my character unstuck
Happened around the very beginning, felt like a nintendo 64 tier glitch
How many time do I gotta tell ya that the game is nothing like dork souls?
Combat gets better go to monsoon and get monk skills or go into magic, combat is way better with skills. Auto Attacks and timing moves to avoid hit trades is shit a i agree, I have my suspicious as to why they chose what they did, but I'm not articulate or smart so I won't share them, all I can suggest is use traps untill you get combat skills from trainers and use the kick you've been given, the combat gets a lot better when you start getting skills and using consumes properly but is rough to start out with and very hard to adjust to its idiosyncrasies and of course it won't compare to sekiro or dmc5 but most games never will and those two games will go down and be fondly remembered for being fantastic action games.
Nah nigga just trade your shield for handgun instead
It's role playing game, not exp grinding festival
How do you even keep them between 0-50, even with a fast weapon? They always seem to get out of range ending the stunlock
You have to lower their stability first. Hitstun doesn't apply until their bar hits 50%.
it's literally nothing. there's no real customization, the basic combat sucks, there's no story. these posts are all absolutely hemorrhaging cope for money wasted.
Salty bags of coins
that image is mostly a meme, but have you tried using ice rags/varnish to slow their movement speed or the 1h axe crippling skill.
When i've got someone below 50 I usually go really aggressive because I know if I hit them they can't attack me, if you play more passively I'd suggest using a longer wep or having ranged attacks quick slotted you don't really need to bounce an enemy about 0-50.
are you using gear that slows you down? or movement speed gear? do you break target lock on and sprint up to them?
Also it's something i'd only bother suggesting in a 1v1 with a dangerous enemy, rest of the time traps, magic, big 2h with large sweeps are way better for dealing with groups.
if they do go back up to over 50 just use kick a pistol or some other skill to get them into a safe to attack range again.
Daily reminder that the blue jew collective uses bullshit reasons to extort people out of their money and if you join them you're a fucking slave
