I'm waiting for my friend to come online so we can continue our multiplayer game

Attached: skele gang.jpg (1920x1080, 1.04M)

But I am playing it, OP Yay :D
Using Arcanist and Oathkeeper. Did it cause I wanted to purposelessly sabotage myself into thinking this would no synergy. Fuck, was I wrong.

Attached: 1387305294016.jpg (400x273, 26K)

I don't like ARPGs

Is Oathkeeper only effective for shield builds?

Made a paladin, having a pretty easy time at 50, thing is unkillable

No. Only about 3 of their abilities require shields. Everything else revolves around Elemental, Fire, and Physical damage. Not to mention, they have some of the best pets you can have simply because they obtain bonus stats from your character, and not the Pet Bonus stuff.

I played through the expansion on my redo of my first character and now I'm waiting for my friend to be around so we can go through it on our other characters
Gotta try a build with Oathbreaker sometime

Two hand or sword and shield for spin to win paladin?

Thanks

Isn't it that game that isn't randomly generated and that has boring as fuck builds for 3/4 of the game?
I don't play it because it's shit.

I want to play a Templar but first I'm farming for the Vanquisher set. It must have some piss-poor drop rates because I've found more of the legendary roguelikes boss drops, which have like a 2% drop rate.

Attached: 1551928364046.jpg (699x278, 64K)

Because I decided to buy Ys Viii for 15€ and not the Grim Dawn expansion.

And those pets are also fully invincible, and have an aura that reduces enemy Fire/Phys resistance. Absolutely wild, OB/Demo can get such a ridiculous amount of enemy -Fire resist now.

Both work but I don’t see why you wouldn’t make it S&B. Damage is still bonkers and you will never die, specially after dropping runes

>explain
i'm $12 short of affording forgotten gods and burned out on the rest of the content

Is the Vanquisher set a MI or something?
Never got the Decree of Aldritch myself after running it over a hundred times.

>that game that isn't randomly generated
You say that like it's something bad.

But I am. Makin a HC warlord with a fully clean start.

go mow some lawns kid

Do you actually play using skills now or do you still buff your aa like before? That really put me off

What devotion skill did you put on EoR?

never heard of it, is it any good? is it more like Diablo 3 or PoE?

I am, Retaliation-Sentinels are fun as fuck.

You could've played Arcanist, Shaman, or Occultist even in the base game if you wanted a bunch of buttons to press

It's Titan Quest 2 basically

One of the best ARPGs for pet based classes, if you build your devotions right and get some good gear pieces you can have a fairly smooth experience right through the end of ultimate and into farming.

I played it for a bit after the expansion but honestly it just made me want to boot up PoE again so that's what I did.

At least now we have the transmuter, so if you have spare pieces you can turn it into another piece of the same set. I can't tell you how long I was farming for my last ulzuin set piece for my purifier.

I played shaman + soldier and it was an aa fest
Tried gunslinger or whatever is called but didnt have that much fun, I'm just asking to try the game again because I finished the base game and thought it was nice

GD stash or item assistant?

Each of the pieces can be found in the big chest at the end of each roguelike. I've found two so far, but I've had to burn through Skeleton Keys like a madman.

Any good dual pistol builds that don't require inquisitor? That class bores me to tears

>soldier
no wonder

>game that has zero online component to it and is a "play once and be done" deal with no endgame whatsoever

Yikes
That's like playing through D3 or PoE for the story acts and then quitting. What's the fucking point.

My game keeps crashing. Borderline unplayable.

I am, but I'm falling for the same crap I do every time I pick it back up and keep making new characters when I get an idea for a build. Right now I'm trying and aether/bleed cabal it out, trying to weave melee into it but it'll likely be more of a caster build.
>curse and pox enemies
>aether fire on pox
>the floor is now magical fire while the flesh melts off them
>bone harvest for big meaty damage
My survivability is shite though, I gotta work on that.

Use the x86 client not x64

Demo/occultist. Gunslinger badge.

Its really like that, only that the leveling up part is actually fun and the endgame isnt economics simulator

replayability
>game that has zero online component
the fuck? it has co op

Thanks, that class combo always appealed to me, but it feels like Demo only pairs well with Soldier/Inquisitor and Occultist only pairs with Necromancer/Shaman.

Well yeah, there are some classes that are all about that AA. Like purifier (demo + inquisitor) its all about buffing your new left click attack of fire strike with extra damage, 4 class based procs, and as many devotion based procs as possible. You put on your passive auras, drop your deal to increase your resists/HP regen/damage/damage enemies that enter, drop some mines for more damage and -fire resists on enemies, and just hold left click until things die. Or a cadence build where you hold left click and occasionally a blitz or defensive skill. Just have to find the right build if you want a more active role.

Saboteurs are hard to build since you need certain sets to really bring out your skills, but are very intensive to play with lots of skills going on. Druids and occultist based casters as well. Can also go more caster oriented inquisitor, caster shaman, even a caster version of demo if you want to ply with your other skills as well like grenado and blackwater cocktail.

not on ps4

>Inquisitors Word Of Pain
Does it get weaker on higher difficulties or is a delete-the-room ability normal for other classes as well?

Its been the same was since diablo, you start a character, level them, get the gear for your build, finish the character, do some stuff with them, then retire them for a new character. The longevity of the games comes from trying out new characters and styles of play over and over. And with the nre tokens that let you skip difficulties now, you can get a character to level 100 in a matter of hours if you have gear already set aside.

>seriously playing on a ps4
people get this pathetic? had no idea

The damage falls off by the time you hit Act 4 on Veteran. It's still a great spell for devotion procs and resist reduction though.

daf

I was never able to beat act 3. It's just too fucking booring.

That's nice, I've been farming nems and stuff for new FG items but that'll give me a reason to run roguelike dungeons

Attached: Grim Dawn 2019.04.02 - 21.46.07.02.webm (922x518, 2.93M)

It has endgame, it's called roguelike dungeons, crucible and shattered realms.

I'm level 53 and bored to death and when I made another character it was back to level 1. God I dont wanna do all that again.

you can buy an item that lets you skip difficulties you have already completed, assuming you have beaten Normal difficulty.

Try a different class

I'm on Veteran in the Ugdenbog right now and most things die in two to three ticks. Can't say I have noticed a damage falloff.

Just hit 100 where do I farm for shit that isn't going to get me completely destroyed?

the bee hive in twin falls

If you finish act 4 you can nust go ahead into Elite on your old character, no reason to do the expansions on Veteran
The expansions also contain Double XP potions and a "skip to Elite/Ultimate" item you can throw in your shared stash

>is a delete-the-room ability normal for other classes as well
Yes, unless you're a trashkeeper.

Aren't you supposed to stand in the inquisitor seal? why cast it on the nemesis

Arkovian Undercity
Watch out for chilly bones though

Didnt this need the FG expansion, I dont have that yet.

Yeah I wanted to. But Im a dumb Purifier player and I dont know what to play as next. Maybe Necro Arcanist.

Probably for devotion procs
And as long as the enemy isn't fuckhuge you can just target them and still benefit from the seal

If you want to speed through the boring part of a new character just invest everything in stats and an AoE mobility with some basic ass defenses and you'll be done Act 2 and level 30+ very quickly. Shit like Forcewave or Word of Pain or Flash Freeze. Respec to your real build when you start Act 4.

I have elemental storm on it and only a few points into the part that actually increases my damage while standing in it, it's not that amazing due to the somewhat mobe kind of build it is, I still use it on myself when I'm being swarmed.

>no reason to do the expansions on Veteran
Fuck. Won't you miss out on shrines or something else?

Walking around all the areas all over again is tedious and boring

Now all shrines are available on all difficulties so you will cap on your devotion points by elite act 2 anyways

With the new expansion you can easily have all 55 points with just the main game twice and one run through Forgotten Gods. All you'll miss from the additional shrines on Veteran is low level loot that will be replaced.
Seriously there's like 100+ shrines across all 3 difficulties now and you only need 55.

Remember to stack dem resistance reductions

Attached: 1524913103677.png (1046x658, 73K)

Has this been added as a patch or does it require Forgotten Gods? I've only got Ashes of Malmouth.

i downloaded it but i'm too caught up in sekiro to start another game right now

Attached: 009.png (827x1300, 283K)

Anyone tried a ranged sentinel?

Oh, right. I get it now. Thank you.

Looks like Titan quest but the UI looks like van Hellsing. I am hoping it isn't the latter.

I want to do a 2 hand spin to win.

Sorry if I enjoy replayability, TQ was ruined because levels were static.

Farmed the dungeon plenty of times yesterday and got nothing, now that I just heard about it I got one part on my first run.

Attached: Grim Dawn Screenshot 2019.04.03 - 19.59.25.35_1.jpg (1920x1080, 1.34M)

What is the best class to go with oathkeeper if i want to be full Capitan America mode throwing shields at niggas? Soldier or Demo?

Replayability comes from playing various builds, not speeding through the same poorly crafted dungeons with slightly different layouts and pressing one button.

That's where you're wrong kiddo

Just cheat yourself a level 100 character, ADHD faggots.

>2016 Mar 19

I was going to call you a faggot but then I realised that making a character in GD -TQ too- is basically "Use this one farming skill for all of veteran and half of elite and then, once you are like level 80, start enjoying the actual build you planned"
I blame this on how easy is to respec on this game

The mechanics for reductions -not only resistances but also things like DA reduction- haven't changed so the image is still valid

it's strong, just pick a Vitality or Acid spell you like and take the Guardian pet from Oathkeeper. the pets are fucking OP, they are invincible, do insane damage, and scale with player damage.

Then don't play a game that focuses on going through NG+ cycles?

So wasn't there supposed to be a new blacksmith that rerolled set items or some shit?

Just got killed by Aldritch when he was at 10% in ultimate. Fuck, it took me 2 hours to get to him on my shitty druid.

yeah, he does that

No reason to post outdated information though. Wind Devil was changed a long time ago. Why not post the updated one which also inlcudes more information?

>he isn't playing the best ARPG on the market right now

Attached: soy maximum.jpg (839x640, 131K)

What class synergies with necromancer? I haven't played GD since release, is necro even gud?

I switch at level 40 which isn't even done Veteran in the base game
Unless your build REQUIRES some goofy shit like that set that converts Demolitionist fire skills all to Cold damage then there's no reason to wait that long to switch.

Doing a quest in Forgotten Gods unlocks it for all the technicians (gear icon NPCs)

>tfw been playing Grim Dawn for some ~5 years
>game only gets better and better
HOW DO THEY DO IT

Transmutation is in the expansion, yes.

yes its good and almost anything works with it. good with 2hand builds because of massive lifesteal, good with summoners, and good with any spellcaster that deals vitality/cold/acid/aether damage.

Necro is really strong even without pet builds
Try Soldier, Occultist, Arcanist, Shaman, or Nightblade with it

But I'am, didn't start forgotten gods yet.

Attached: 2019-04-03_2022_1.png (710x1440, 2.1M)

Im using a Witch Hunter (lvl 53 atm) as my first character.(chaos dmg)
He's fucking squishy
Should I keep beating elite with him to farm faction shit and legendaries for other characters or should I start a more balanced one right now?

Your character is qt, you know that?

Attached: 23177751.jpg (1280x720, 86K)

What would be a nice class combo for a 2h sword wearing character that is balanced on damage and tankiness?

Should i go for FG right after Krieg or?
I have finished both main game and Ashes of Malmouth 2~ years ago, and don't want to play it again.

Posession gives you a bunch of Physical Resist and Nightblade passived should be giving you a lot of dodge
Try to keep your resistances above 70%

Depends on what type of damage you want to do. Witchblade (soldier + occultist) is very tanky between the soldier passives and blood of dreeg from occultist (30 second duration, 15 second cool down heal + increased health regen, and can be further augmented with a skill for 100% poison and acid resists while active, making it easier to overcap other resists). Focuses mainly on physical damage with internal trauma (a physical DoT) and some bleed.

Commando (soldier + demolitionist) can be an incredibly tanky 2handed fire based character, blast shield is godly, and there are plenty of other skills to play around with to keep things fresh.

Death knight (soldier + necro) is very easy to gear, and can easily be converted to a one hand a sword build with the krieg set (which is farmable from specific bosses in Malmouth) easily.

Warder (soldier + shaman) looks good on paper, but falls behind the other soldier+ classes, but is still doable. It gets very nice with the avenger set, but it sucks having to farm for it to make a character end game nemesis/crucible farming manageable.

Necro is real nice for 2hand because of its lifesteal and high damage.
Necro+Shaman
Necro+Oathkeeper isnt as much damage but gives you an immortal pet
Necro+Soldier does the least damage but is basically immortal

Soldier+anything also gives you nice tankiness but not as much lifesteal as the Necro. And Shaman+anything is basically pure DPS.

Thanks user
Possesion is fucking great but Im still with low and negative resistances and getting obliterated fast as fuck (Im still trying yo get non-trash equipment)
Haven't checked the nightblade dodge passives tho, thanks

I'm waiting for summer for new ryzens and gpus. Right now I can't even play 2014 games. I've got so many titles waiting in line, especially looking forward to Divinity OS2 and this one. My mom might throw me out of the house for staying whole summer in my room playing games and I'm not even 35 yo till late autumn.

I want to play a fun non-pet Occultist build, what do I combo it with?

>can't filter out yellows with grim internals
fuck

Warder is very capable with 2H with a Bleed build
Lightning build is a bit squishier but you can squeeze storm totems into the build to kite if needed.

use the in-game loot filter in tandem with GI, its just an extra step but it works.

thats good to know, maybe i'll dust off my warder again. get them to 100 then never really finished them since my witchblade could do everything better and faster.

Defensive Ability is really important too, to avoid being splatted by a 0.1% chance crit. Nightblade has an aura that lowers enemy Offensive Ability too, with a chaos build you can skip the part of it that lowers pierce/acid/cold resist and use the points elsewhere
Blood of Dreeg is really powerful regardless of your build too, dob't underestimate it. Constellations like the Ghoul or Turtle and easy to fit in and help a ton defensively.

Doesn't include Necro etc.

I do but it doesn't seem to affect it. What does seem to affect it was restarting the client although that doesn't always provide a solution. Ah well, best enjoy my functional time while I can.

They unfucked Feral Hunger and Upheaval which helped a lot. Plus new/buffed constellations.

If I like Grim Dawn and dislike PoE and have no other experience with the genre, is it worth getting Diablo 3 Switch just for the portability and local co-op?

FUCK I SPOKE TOO SOON
GODDAMMIT

I don't get paid until tomorrow

Thanks for the info user

Pirate Torchlight 2 and if it doesn't crash on you every 15 minutes like it did for me then it's a decent game. Lots of mods for it out there too.
Titan Quest is good too but Grim Dawn built a lot on it so you might feel the missing features if you go backwards likr that

it just came out and wont be on sale for quite a while.
don't be a jackass to us poor people.

post fashion

Attached: file.png (564x530, 663K)

Diablo 3 is good for casuals, so yeah. But consider it playing on PC.

Attached: uqjbd68hqz621.jpg (1920x1080, 415K)

Do you have to kill Anesteria to get this helmet? I can't do that, she is cute. Even by aetherial standarts.

Makes my bepis the big bepis

I miss her bros

she looks like she gives great blowjobs

I'm very happy with Grim Dawn on PC, I'm asking specifically about having a side game I can pull out to play with company. If anyone knows how it handles.

I already have KH3

is it just me or did they improve the graphics?

Ashes of Malmouth was much more interesting expansion.
They should have continued Aetherians story, instead of literally who Korvaak.

in the zones of the last expansion, yea they look a lot better than the base game.

>it's not an always online unbalanced chinese grindfest

Attached: 2972397-wolfenstein-the-new-order-5.jpg (205x203, 13K)

Kill her on one difficulty and don't on the other.

Should i continue to watch JoJo Stardust Crusader or rather play Grim Dawn? I can't decide.

What specific sets can be farmed? Only krieg and vanquisher?

There's also the Dark One set from the AoM secret quest.

They improved attack animations for sure

Shattered Realm set although I don't know the logistics of it. I have been up to SR42 and I have three separate Chests and Amulets (I actually don't remember if it is an amulet vs a ring or medal).

With the transmuter if you really wanted you could make a bunch of copies of any craftable set helmet and transmute the rest of the set from that

You might consider doing just the very start of it since it grants you access to the movement skill glyphs

The farmable sets can't be transmuted, according to Grimtools.

What online component Poe has that's worth a damn?

Did a gay guy design that armor?

>Not vitality/acid

Diablo 3 on console is literally the better version of the game. Not only for the couch coop features but a lot of the systems on that game really were made in order for it to work on console, thats why it's so shit on PC and always has been. Considering you are a brainlet and dont like PoE then yeah, I'd say get it, it will do what you are asking it for.

>Diablo 3 on console is literally the better version of the game
The simple addition of a dodge makes the game 100% interesting and engaging

Why's this gold?

>try to download FG for my steam version through a couple sites
>they all only have the full game with it, not just FG standalone
The fuck do I do then?

what?

Attached: so innocent and pure.png (105x225, 12K)

I asked yesterday about pirating Forgotten Gods, and some anons said it should work with online, or at the very least LAN. When I tried to download a torrent it only has the full game with it, instead of just the expansion.

nigga are you familiar with the term "expansion"?

then just download the full game with the expansions, whats the problem?

What should I know about D3 coming in from GD?

I'm a brainlet but I figured it'd have a separate download instead of just being part of the game entirely. I didn't want to lose my characters.

you can copy/paste your steam saves into the pirated version, just make sure you disable steam cloud saving first

animations and presentation are bad.
i really wished i could look pass this like all of you low standart plebs can

Attached: 1544369827709s.jpg (106x125, 2K)

d3 is the arcade arpg
grimdawn is the simulator arpg

is like the diference in san frasisco rush and grand turismo.

This is how every purifier should look. And have no shame about it

I'm a fucking idiot and didn't think of that, thanks dude. What class combo should I do for my first FG run? Preferably something with OK since I wanted to try it.

nice muslim cock sucking esl post

>enter game, playing some random build 3 hours, log out, dont want to play this build anymore

D3 is like a michael bay movie. Entertaining, you dont have to think while watching it and it will help you waste 1 1/2 to 2 hours without regretting it. Repeated viewings of said movie will make you feel like you are starting to waste your time with it and you should maybe do something more productive.

The most fun part of D3 is lvling but 1 or 2 hours of endgame will give you enough of a taste of it to enjoy it but then never want to go back to it.

I have over 100 hours and still don't think I've finished the story I just keep restarting.
Thinking of a cold Nightblade this time around, what would you recommend as the second class? Arcanist?

soldier/OK retaliation damage tank
necro/OK vitality damage blood knight
demo/OK fire damage build

keep in mind all OK skills except for 2 have long cooldowns, so they feel like shit until you get cooldown reduction gear

spin to win baby

occultist/OK retaliation damage tank but green and spinning

>vitality damage blood knight
That sounds sick as fuck, gonna try that. Any must-have skills? I assume start Necro for powerleveling is still good.

The expansion costs £13. If you can't afford that then you have some real life problems to sort out instead of playing games

I liked shaman
Necro and inquis also good

16 points in Guardian of Empyreon+its Vitality conversion skill
16 points in Bone Harvest

you need the Blood Knight armor set to convert your bone harvest to Vitality damage, but even before that point your Guardians still deal a fuckton of damage

Korvaak had been sitting there as a hanging thread since they implemented the Death's Vigil and Kymon's Chosen cults.
FG could've presented/fleshed it out better than it did, since it seemed like it was only half the size of Ashes was. You KNEW the Chosen were serving a flame spirit that was obviously not on Cairn's side and that the Guildmaster had fucked off to parts unknown but he'd return at some point because he was an immortal necromancer so obviously he wasn't dead.

I've done cold NB/Arcanist and it was fun. If you do Inq, there's an offhand that converts Flames of Ignaffar to cold damage.

>problems
its almost like you dont know where you are

i have spin to win on uptimate

lel story in a top view looter
who the fuck cares

Korvaak is based and better than the witch faggots. Wish we could have stayed allied with him.

Game starts with Aetherials, so i want fucking conclusion on them. They seemd like a really big threat compared to Korvaak or Loghorreon.

>not having dual screens

Who makes a post like this

Cthon is arguably the biggest bad since he's fucking pissed the Aetherial's masters used his blood to make the world

How would it help? You either watch anime or play the game.

if you can't fuck the dude in the op what's the point of even playing

I was considering this as well. Does the fire damage from the oathkeeper work well with the arcanist?

I haven't played FG too much yet. I've just seen its about Korvaak.
So there is no Chton either? Thats really dissapointing.
I doubt we will see GD2 soon enough.

>arpg
>requiring your focus

you can play this game one handed and muted

>Spoken like a true softcorebaby
Come back when you start playing arpg's like a real men.

Attached: 1551066155800.jpg (553x640, 48K)

I run a shaman/occultist retaliation build and to me it’s the most fu man ive ever had with an arpg. Watching everything just whack you and your pets and dies is soothing.

is this some kind of homosexual game
that picture thats been shilled here sure makes it look like it

You do manage to save Cairn for a time though by stopping the summoning and destroying the aetherial factory, but some things are just too strong to be completely wiped out.

alt+f4 when you're about to die doesn't count.

>good with 2hand builds because of massive lifesteal
I really can't follow this logic. What do you mean?

Grim YAWN
I can play titan quest for hours on end but Grim Dawn just makes me snore

Attached: 1495318218422.jpg (430x350, 98K)

the Reaping Strike skill lifesteals when you attack

Harbinger of Souls also heals you if you are willing to invest 51 points

What is the best way to farm ancient hearts? I need like 3 more and finding them makes me want to end it.

Both of those work with any weapon though? How is it any better for 2h?

Because it looks badass

More damage means more lifesteal.

But why? Titan Quest without mods is boring as fuck. Literally 5 enemies max on screen.

I bought the expansion but I'm trying to finish up a few other games before I dive into grim dawn again. DW9 is taking longer than I thought it would and is actually a lot better than I thought it'd be.

Attached: 1553231799320.jpg (980x735, 162K)

Never when the chosen guys because my characters always fit more with the necromancers. What happens tot hen this expac since it undoes their very belief?

>Explain.
Have to wait a week until my dota 2 items are sold.

Ah yes the Flaming Faggot

I haven't got the transmute thing yet, but should I keep all set pieces, even the trash ones, so that I can transmute them later to something better? How does it work?

How is Attack Damage Converted To Health scaled with spells having weapon damage? Is it always the full amount for would a spell with 50% weapon damage only steal with half the usual?

I'm poor and I'm gonna try and get it if I get birthday money next month.

I'm playing Path of Exile though.
I did pirate Forgotten Gods to be fair

Because Synthesis is shit and every other arpg is trash even compared to shit

That's false to start with, but for me the problem with GD is that it doesn't matter at all what enemies you are facing, just spam your aoe and they all die. Even playing melee works the same, you just use melee aoe shit.

That's how I played Titan Quest
And also TL2, PoE, D3

>2h means more damage
user ....
2h weapons have higher base damage, but their attack speed scaling is much worse. Maybe if you are using a weapon damage skill which scales with Cast Speed such as Forcewave you will probably get more weapon damage relatively. Questionable if you can even make a decent build taking advantage of this though. There's so many variables going into build performance. I really can't see any decent justification for your statement. 10% ADctH from 12/12 Harbinger of Souls is not a huge amount of lifesteal that you can't get from gear of devotions either. Whether Necro is good or bad with 2H weapons depends a lot more on many other factors.

Because it is not really the point of the image. The point is to look at the wording to know what stacks with what and how it does. Wind devil got its wording changed and now it belongs in category B, but it doesn't change the mechanics themselves.

Also i don't think an updated version was ever made 2bh.

>really like bone harvest
>not sure what to pair it with or build around it

i was thinking nightblade

Are there any other belts that give Volley? I'm 53 and I'm still wearing that Marauder's Ammo Belt from level 20 that gives Volley.

see

So guys
what's the deal with the guy that offers you a ring in exchange for "you owe me now and one day i will call upon that favour"?

Future content most likely

Didn't the devs say in one of their streams that they weren't planning on any more content since they couldn't come up with a new mastery and they wouldn't release an expansion without one?

First thing you should look at is Resistance Reduction. Necromancer offers Physical, Vitality and Aether so generally these are the best damage types. You generally need a good reason to not take advantage of the Resistance Reduction that your masteries offer. Deathguard Set for Acid Damage Bone Harvest exists, but it seems too weak to compensate for the obvious disadvantages. Vitality should be the only viable damage type for Bone Harvest. So which other masteries complement this? Occultist, Shaman, Oathkeeper. All of these support Resisantance Reduction for Vitality Damage.

There have been multiple content additions that came with the updates and not with full expansions so far.

Isometric "action" RPGs have always sucked, they are worse than turn based.

combat and movement felt too slow
story wasnt very interesting
just wanted to kill shit and dick around with different builds but i couldnt even make it through the story before getting bored

Firestrike or righteous fervor? which one is better as an autoattack replacer?

Is shattered realm worth doing? I'm not really a fan of the "kill shit with no immediate reward" playstyle.

It's got an exclusive legendary set but overall it's another flavor of Crucible

it's mostly there to push your build to its limits

Anyone having fun with an unconventional build?

grimtools.com/calc/lV7qbnON

rate my devotion choice for a pure fire shieldbreaker build. There is 4 points that i don't know where to assign. I was thinking either Lotus, Dryad, Sailor or Empty throne
please be gentle is the first time i do this without following a guide

I really hoped it would just be like an endless rougelike dungeon, not like the crucible shit.

only gotten to shard 25 but it takes really long to reach and the rewards were mediocre compared to crucible which showers you with loot for completing 150-170. I'm guessing you need to do the deeper shards and use those consumables to return to the higher levels for anything of value

Is this the kind of game where you just finish the story and then never touch the game again?
or is there stuff to do after the story that involves endlessly grinding for optimal gear to grind more

Depends on what you're building as, holy shit why do people never mention this HURR I'MA DURR

>he isn't playing the best ARPG on the market right now
But I'm playing Path of Exile, what are you talking about?

Many people go for 500+ hours into the game creating different builds and taking on hard content such as crucible or superbosses with them. There is no endless gear grind you get your legendaries and you're good to go. Multiplayer games are more structured around endless grind to keep people playing and there's no reason for GD, a single player game to do that. There's just a lot of items to work with so you're not gonna be swimming in completed item sets in like 20 hours of playing

Generally it's more about trying whatever dumb ideas you have for other characters like every other Diablo clone
You can pass items from character to character

*walks next to enemies from last league's content*
*freezes and crashes*

>playing in a league that somehow managed to be worse than betrayal

Can I enjoy PoE if I have no interest in trade autism?

But trading is THE game. Unless you enjoy endless grind on ssf

GD is much more forgiving about cooking up and trying out a silly meme build thanks to the total ease of respec. You can't un-spec you chosen classes, but feel free to remodel anything else in that framework.
meanwhile if you're gonna make some dumbass gimmick build in POE you have to start from the ground up and better have the gimmick gear in your inventory already because it's never gonna drop during in-game gameplay.

What're the strongest oathbreaker skills in your opinion and why, user?

After countless hours of diablo 2 and 1600 hours of path of exile i pretty much figured i was done with ARPG...i was wrong grimdawn been pretty fun.

>Going through SR
>shard 26, enter a chest room
>wait what? I didn't end the run yet
>instinctively open chests
>dozens of ugdenbog golems pop out of the ground to rape my face as punishment
well fuck me then

Attached: 1460589289289.jpg (589x900, 146K)

What demo skills have really good synergy with an sword and board oathbreaker?

GOD TIER:
>Guardian of Empyreon for an immortal minion that scales with your stats
>Ascension for a massive damage buff, get some cooldown reduction and it becomes even more amazing
>Righteous Fervor is a great autoattack modifier
>Presence of Virtue enables Retaliation builds

the other skills either scale like shit or need specific items for them to function properly

Are those pants standing on their own?

That's like her face plug in the air there. You don't see that every day. I mean, that doesn't really even seem possible if you think about it, with body organs and cartilage and bones and-- I mean, I'm no doctor, but it was like one clean chunk.

To do crucible,or not to do crucible
Fuck man, dunno if I wanna be overleved for the new content but crucible is more fun that all those gay ass warden basements and shit

You know the rules.

And so do I.

Stream that movie if you're so great

I implore you to reconsider user

what did she mean by this?

>make fire demo/OK
>name him fred the flaming faggot
rate 1-10

Garbage. Aetherials are some of the most mind-numbingly boring enemies in any video game.

I like throwing my shield :)

Me too user.It's really fun.

>

two player pet build is the most broken thing in the game because of all the stacking buffs. Nothing like 20 skellies with like 10 maxed buffs clearing the whole game while you watch

the damage gets pretty nonexistant but the resistance reduction makes it one of the best abilities

should i bother with veteran?
what does it do? gives everyone more hp?

I'm playing Diablo from gog so I am.

It literally doesn't though, I had nobody playing with me.

Get some friends

Better drops

in my opinion, I feel you could better spend the points that are spent on the damage into something else and use it for the resist reduct but if it works for you, have fun

Spent all my money on groceries.

If it's your first time playing, go for it, makes the first playthrough not completely braindead (just mostly)

If it isn't your first playthrough, buy the elite unlock and just start new characters on elite.

Attached: 1528735292982.gif (280x210, 2.91M)

I want to play, but I never bought AoM when it came out and I don't want to pay for both that and Forgotten Gods

just pirate the expansions and transfer your save file to them, retard.

didn't know it was simple, do I need certain versions or is it already handled by the base?

I have a level 90 DK but I'm bored and want to play a pet build. What's the best one atm? I want fug tons of pets doing my bidding

no it works with whatever. just pirate the forgotten gods standalone and it should give you the option to import saves from the folder in My Games/Grim Dawn. might have to disable cloud saving from your steam version first, if its enabled.

after the devs buttfucked titan quest with shitty updates that force you to by that garbage ragnarok dlc I just cant play it anymore

it's like an amateur mod made in a few months with very low difficulty and awful level design

Is it worth it to buy just the base game for starters? What is locked out from people that don't have the expansions?

The base game is honestly fucking trash compared to the expansions, the new areas are so much better. You also miss out on 3 classes but that doesn't matter much. Just pirate it if you're that much of a poorfag.

Necro/Occu or Shaman

can't beat the skelton army

>leveling Blademaster
>running around killing everything because it's fun and attacking at 200mph is fun
:)

Mind numbingly boring

>wanna play with the new class
>no builds are out for it
>too brainlet to figure one out myself

Help. I figure it goes best with soldier or demo

Attached: CI_64214_1339506955.png (775x516, 613K)

Are there gonna be anymore expansions? I wanna play the game but I also don't want them to release another one in like a year with a new class that I like and have to start all over. I really only have enough time for 1 play through of a game like this these days.

>reach shard 48 chunk 4
>boss comp is literally unbeatable for my build
>started at S25, can't collect loot after hours of playing if I don't beat this

Attached: 1537040194140.gif (800x1138, 580K)

Should I go Conjurer or Cabalist for pets? Lightning bird or Skellies?

>no builds are out for it

Attached: Disappointed Crocodile.png (244x244, 57K)

They said Forgotten Gods is the last, so no.

Cough a shieldbreaker build up capn

The blood knight set for Vit DKs/Witchblades basically makes you into a jank ass melee pet build.

They said they won't sell an expansion without a new class and also that they can't think of another niche for a class to fill. There's a few sealed off areas on the map that'll probably be skeleton key dungeons or extra shit patched in later like they did with Ashes of Malmouth so we'll probably get at least a few little additions for free.

lurk the classes and builds section of the GD forums

i tried but I may be a brainlet, it still shows the AoM and crucible buttons on the main menu

Necro + Occultist is objectively the strongest pet build but either of those + Shaman isn't far behind.

Does that mean the story is wrapped up nicely with this expansion then?

>best ARPG is least popular

I really dont like this.

Not really. There was that one friendly Aetherial NPC in Ashes of Malmouth that hasn't reappeared yet and and expansion didn't deal with the still impending doom that is C'thon at all.
And I would imagine the capital of Carin is an even worse clusterfuck of Aetherials than Malmouth by now.

FG is more of a side story of some baddies you meet along your journey around act 3 while AoM continued the main plot from vanilla GD where you're entering the heart of the aetherial invasion to put an end to them and basically save everyone from the immediate threat. So in a way the main plot was wrapped up one expac ago but there are other equally dangerous motherfuckers waiting on the sidelines

I think it depends entirely on FG sales.
Crate is supposed to be working on a new game right now, so they might focus more on that if FG didn't meet some expectations.
They really clearly left continued support hook though considering all the cult leaders just mysteriously disappear from their camps after finishing the campaign.

Do I just start a new character on Elite or Ultimate now or what? Seems like that would rape me six ways sideways

nevermind, got it

I'm having a hard time putting myself through it. The expansion seems good but I've got 750 hours in the game and level 100 and loot so far is interesting but side grades.

Just scrounge for resist items and stop and farm if you have to.
My only problem would be that faction reputation would be an absolute pain in the ass without Mandates for everyone before you even think about starting someone straight into Elite.

Some people are having fun playing Ultimate at level 10. It's sorta up to you how you want to roll with it now I guess. It sure makes powerleveling up through Crucible DLC more appealing, I never saw the use in that considering you'd still have to faceroll the game campaign.
>thought those consumables were supposed to level you up to developer-intended level
>"nah, it just unlocks your difficulty modes and the waypoints in them. have fun bro!"

So how does the story and lore hold up overall?
I beat the first chapter back in the day and it felt really promising. I love ARPGS but I really need a decent story to get me all the way through them or I just feel like im on a grind treadmill skinner box and get bored.

Diablo 1 and 2 hooked me as a kid because I felt like I really wanted to see the adventure through to the end, not necessarily because I wanted that piece of loot or skill.

The story isnt really there.

Main game ends on a super big cliffhanger after stopping the Cult of C'thon from summoning a huge tentacle vagina
Ashes of Malmouth covers striking at the core of the Aetherial threat
Forgotten Gods is more of a side story finishing the plot of 2 of the factions you meet in Act 3

Overall I really like the setting and some of the lore notes you find are really well written.

Anyone know of a good 2h weapon that complements a pure physical EoR build? The DPS is so much better with 2h instead of DW like I've been doing.

Well that's disappointing. Really wish just one modern ARPG would be more than a Skinner box grind fest.

There's a 1H Mace that has physical bonuses to Eye of Reckoning and +1 to Oathbreaker
For 2H you probably can't go wrong with Stonefist Rebuke but I don't think there are any for Oathkeeper specifically that I've seen

>

I still find new things on every playthrough

Attached: lol poop XD.png (572x662, 375K)

I've gotten dozens of those
The "Really Great Pants" are super nice on my nightblade, between that and my DA I've only got like a 50% chance to be hit.

t. someone who didn't read a single line of dialogue

What's a good class combination for a style of focusing on basic attacks?
I just want to hold left click while I re-watch some dumb 90s sitcom

blademaster
purifier

Soldier + Anything really, either use Cadence or whatever autoattack replacer you want.
Shaman with a 2H Gun for Primal Strike spam works too but you might need to hit other buttons with that build sometimes.

>blademaster
>Soldier + Anything really
yeah I was thinking about soldier+something really
that said what's up with the purifier? I thought the demo was all about having a ton of active abilities with cooldowns like grenades and flashbangs and shit

Attached: [HorribleSubs] Golden Kamuy - 16 [1080p]_snapshot_00.16.03.797_[2018.10.31_19.43.17]_subs.jpg (1920x1080, 351K)

For Purifier you just take EVERY Fire Strike modifier and Blast Shield and the auras. Flash Bangs are handy for any build though so you could put those on right click. Overall the build will have 5 buttons to press at most counting left click so you can have it all on your mouse easily.
Something like
>Fire Strike/Cadence
>Thermite Mines
>Flash Bang
>Blitz
>War Cry (Optional?)
And then nothing but passives.

I have no idea what this is

I want to play skele summoner but it looks so gear dependent and I don't have shit. What's a build I can get to 100 and farm a bunch of shit and I don't need any gear to get it started?

One thing I'm confused about this game is: do you just put 1 point in a skill and then pump the mastery? Or do you pump it to the max asap?

Honestly not that gear dependent, there's monster infrequents tailored to buffing Skeletons that you can find throughout the game.

Whats your favorite aspect of the new expansion?

I love the loot filter

soldier necro blood knight is the beginner babbys first build

might give it a try, if I don't enjoy soldier+whatever

Pump mastery to get access to what you want as your main attack skill, pump the hell out of that, then boost mastery again to reach some utility/defensive stuff, then repeat until you're done.
You can honestly probably focus on one class on Veteran for most builds and not worry about your other one until Elite. Especially if you jump straight to Elite after the final boss of the main game.

>it looks so gear dependent
I played skele summoner and it was easily the easiest build to level up

I see, that makes sense.

Oh fuck I was thinking Purifier was Soldier + Demo
For Soldier + Inquisitor you just get EVERY Fire Strike skill and EVERY Inquisitor gun skill, Deadly Aim, and then defensive shit and camp your ass in your Inquisitor Rune and become a turret. Literal two button build, maybe 3 to keep Word of Renewal up. Four if you're feeling spicy and want Flash Bangs.

Easiest build to level is Super AIDS Occultist + Druid, Bloody Pox is stupid.

>running through SR on my Primal Strike 2H melee guy
>see big groups
>see about 20 bolts of lightning drop
>all mobs DELETED

The Ultos set Axe increasing the radius on Primal Strike is the best fucking shit.

What's the most FUN build? I am nearing 100 on my DK which I was going Krieg because I was told it's easy to get but it's the most boring shit ever, I just hold cadence until everything is gone.

Full Caster Druid + Arcanist is fun, lots of buttons to juggle and easy to build for.

Kinda want to recreate my old unholy DK from WoW, any thoughts as to what would work for it? Obviously necro/soldier is the death knight class, but I was more thinking along the line of the theme and abilities.
>poisons/debuff
>pet(s)
>2h melee

>and the extra lightning damage to Primal Strike
With the full set, I am an aoe rape machine.

Is the crucible DLC worth it?
I mean, it's cheap enough but does anyone actually use it at all?

>take new build straight to ultimate
>hit level 35 in an hour
>still takes 15 minutes to kill a purple boss
templar really has no "click to level up" skill does it

brainlet here, what does "x% of retaliation added to attack damage" mean?

Best method of farming legendaries & MI's and the main method of testing whether or not your build is worth a shit. Shattered realm still hasn't been explored well enough to know if it's better but loot gain is probably still in favor of crucible considering how quick it is to clear

Anyone else running nb/inq dw with cold damage? I'm level 60 and just dying to things at this point but was doing great before. Maybe its just the jump between base game and ashes.

might as well get it then.

Many builds are based off Crucible clearing times/ability; alternative method to start the game from level 1 and even gain a few skill/devotion points before entering the main campaign; and presents an alternative playstyle--at the cost of rep (and possibly something else I can't remember)

anyone know what this is about, do they let you change allegiance from kymon's chosen to death vigil?

Attached: 20190403210052_1.jpg (1920x1080, 429K)

necro+soldier
soldier+occultist
you have unholy or frost dk on those
haven't messed around with OK but i hear OK/occultist also works

i mean, its nice to have and its really cheap, but if you arent one of those persons that sink 1000+ hours testing builds and making new characters i would pass on it

please respond

ok user ;)

Once you slog through the early and mid SR levels and unlock the 75 waystone, if you have a build capable of doing 75-76 runs then that is best way to farm legendaries. Crucible still awards slightly more MIs but less legendaries.
Also if you die during the 75-76 SR run you can just re-enter it and continue where you died. And since you don't need to worry about blessings and time and dying and shit it's much less stressing. That said, getting to 75 is fucking boring as shit
A warlord can do 75-76 in 7-8mins

Well fuck, I need to build some oathkeepers then. I have a dw malakor tactician that can clear 170 3x in about half an hour but the RNG on some of the SR floors and boss combinations they throw at you completely annihilated me around shard 50

>can't use Vire's Might as a left click skill
shoots
Can you use Blitz as a left click? Mainly want something I can eventually spam as an opener to get into EoR range similar to Furious Charge/Leap in D3 or Leap Slam in PoE

warlord does 75-76 in around 7-8mins
phys ret
does 150-170extra spawns no blessings/banner in 7-8mins
most likely gonna be nerfed to the ground soon

Is paladin supposed to be gun and shield? Can it go retaliation build or do warlord/shieldbreaker specifically have things that make it viable?

>7-8 minutes
>nerfed to the ground
Yeah i really hope not considering thats nowhere near the quickest run and would be completely unnecessary

did you mean for SR or crucible? Cause it does crucible 150-170 in 7-8mins WITH EXTRA SPAWNS AND NO FUCKING BLESSINGS OR BANNERS
l2read

It means take the sum of all your retaliation damage, increase it by the amount of % to all retaliation damage, multiply it by the percent indicated by your % of retaliation added to attack damage and slap it on as a flat addition to whatever attack you're using.

Now my question is can that flat number added on at the end be modified by normal damage increase sources?

Aren't the top crucible runs like 6-6:30? I remember that being the main reference point as to whether RoH builds were still good after they removed the shotgun effect

top tier glass cannon builds do that but you're always going to use blessings and banners to make that happen

IIRC theres a few flavors of the shield throw set but the pure phys one is paladin (OK/inq)

Are you illiterate? I said with no banner or blessings. Do you know how fucking hard crucible 150-170 is without any banners or blessings?
Nevermind doing it with extra spawns in 7-8mins while barely being in any danger ever.

>Aren't the top crucible runs like 6-6:30?
Try under 5mins. Those builds have been nerfed now. Those were done with 3 blessings and a vanguard banner.

the game just looks like its from 2006. its just looks weird

>All the archetypes are the same
>Caster where you get one maybe two spells and just buff with passives
>Attackers where you get one ability and just buff it was with passives
>Summoners that just buff their summons and do nothing

The open-ness of zones is also a fucking honest pain. They need to be smaller and dense and not giant and half empty.

Games pretty bland just like Titan Quest. Both suffer from the same shit.

Attached: wrirwsk1b4121.jpg (640x800, 117K)

Vire's might is sleeper OP. Fantastic damage, surprisingly goat for clearing packs, and the flame trail procs devotions at the same rate as using the actual skill i.e. with a massive bonus to proc chance since its tagged as a cooldown skill. I have dryad's blessing tied to it atm and it goes from 33% to 100% proc chance. I'm looking forward to putting that devotion proc from the new keeper of the sands devotion on it with its .1 cooldown

So explain why i have like 150 hours at most in TQ and over 4000 hours in grim dawn?

You'll won't have a viable build if you split in more than one path.

Is soldier and occultist possible for ultimate? Whats that look like

As someone who just started, whats a fun build to play?

Thinking about doing a shield throwing Oathkeeper, a crazy lightning shaman, an ice mage, or a ranged demo.

Other suggestions welcome, please

Attached: 1532004519499.jpg (362x346, 38K)

I think explains my disconnect/lack of understanding

Anything that catches your interest user, first plays should always go in blind and take whatever you find the most fun.

Late onset autism?

Attached: 1551750992002.png (508x280, 97K)

Tbh anything you find to seem cool will work as long as you stack that specific damage type and back it up with enough resist reductions in lategame

titan quests had better classes and better build potential

grim dawn synergies are lame and the classes are just wanna be TQ classes. they had to introduce clusterfuck constellation system just to make your build not boring

I just don't want to pick a shit class combination, that's all.

fuck you. pick a shit class combination and make something good out of it

That does not exist. Certain combos require more work and effort to keep up with others but literally every combo in the game has legendaries that support builds for them

You can roll anything. Resistances are more important than synergy.

What's a good, safe build that doesn't need any specific purps for farming all the roguelike dungeons on ultimate?
Alkamos is fucking brutal for my poor old memebuilds

>>Caster where you get one maybe two spells and just buff with passives
The fuck did you play, a Replicating Missile build?
Even that has more than 2 spells you need to be spamming.

Chug the potion that gives you 80% Freeze Resist an Alkamos is a joke with any build
If you really can't handle it on Ultimate just do Arkovian Undercity or run through Crown Hill in Malmout-
Actually scratch that Crown Hill is probably harder than the Steps of Fear because of the meteor bitch

bet you pussies dont even play on hardcore

Starting fresh all over again without any useful gear led me to rushing through the endgame and I died like a tard in malmouth at lv94 ultimate. Might give it another go if I find a fun build to do it with though

I only play on normal non-hardcore non-veteran
when I reach the end of normal I stop playing

I really don't understand permadeath in games that take a bunch of time investment per character

>Chug the potion that gives you 80% Freeze Resist an Alkamos is a joke with any build
He is still a pain in the ass for a summoner, because he constantly turns invisible and rushes at you.

>OK/Inquisitor
>pure physical
don't you mean OK/soldier?

what is permadeath to those who never die?

Let us share a moment of silence for all of those permadeath PoE characters who have perished throughout the years from crashes and disconnects

faggot

>Max out few skills
>Wow why I don't have buttons
Fucking brainlet

Nah, talking about this set grimtools.com/db/itemsets/109

Quick question, if I go to the FG dlc right after act 1 and complete it, will I be overleveled when I go to do act 2, or do the enemies scale up?

On normal/veteran? You'll most likely be overleveled. enemies only scale up to a certain level for their areas

Sorry bro that's PoE

On Normal/Veteran the scaling caps
Imo if you wanna see the new stuff ASAP play through to Act 4 normally, then do Elite Act 1 and then Forgotten Gods
That way you won't be fighting underleveled garbage and getting garbage drops

weird way to spell Diablo 3

That has soldier boosts on it too though

What's so good about Path of Exile anyways?

It's more technical, feels like Diablo 2. The setting is cool - and you can do some weird shit with your character builds. Items are good.

Pros:
Lots of goofy ass builds enabled by the fact that all of your skills come from gear, massive skill tree is all stats and passives

Cons:
You will never find the items you need for said goofy ass builds on your own in your lifetime
Always online
Owned by chinks
The real endgame is a happy merchant simulator

you counted one extra, user

Honest question, when does the game get good? I did up to act 3.

the DLC and the endgame bosses are the only good parts, acts 1-3 are fucking garbage. Act 4 is OK.

>4 friends and myself picked up the expansion
>4/5 picked Oathkeeper mastery on new characters
>I went for Solider/Oath phys retaliation
>so many shields taunting off me that the build feels useless
40k retaliation hits is pretty cool though.

when you uninstall and play diablo 2 again

Eye of Reckoning is a meme right?

I see, okay.

>5man tank party
>wtf why dont i get to tank

what's the best build in the game right now?

ur mom

Best at what?
I know Witchblade can solo most if not all of the superbosses, but it's a lot slower to kill shit than some dual wielding glass cannon build

my mom

Attached: pic related.jpg (362x780, 168K)

have a soldier full vitality and internal trauma damage with a 2 handed weapom. have no major problem playing
add oathkeeper as a second class, and make him retilation damage with a shield now, get fucking destroyed......
WTF IS THIS SHIT

>WTF IS THIS SHIT
You suck shit at making a build is what it is

Grim Dawn is boring as fuck tho and even D3 is more satisfying to play.

>torment SIXTEEN

LOL at your post friend

Whats the laziest pet build possible? Conjurer or cabalist?

Attached: RtC6c01.jpg (636x477, 68K)

>play poe
>die to random thing with no explanation or reason, only way to do end game content is with acrobatics
>play grim dawn
>fall asleep before fighting warden
>play diablo
>nostalgia has worn off and burnt out
wtf is a good arpg

torchlight 2 > path of exile = grim dawn > diablo 3

honestly, a perfect arpg would be diablo 3's animations/skills, grim dawn's items, torchlight 2's bosses and mods, and poe's dev team and price

Is it a bit less left-click centric than the original? I get that's the core gameplay design, but I'd like a bit more active abilities alongside the beefy left-clicks.

>wtf is a good arpg
sacred 2

grim dawn past act 3 and/or level 30+

Torchlight 2 is good for its easy modability, base game is okay. Whole thing is bizarrely crash prone even across multiple computers.

Play a pure caster build like Arcanist/Shaman or something

Not an argument. Grim Dawn sucks ass, and you know it; leveling feels slow, killing mobs feels unsatisfying and builds feel boring. The devs should've put less focus on the lore and more on the actual gameplay.
Even the recent dlc is garbage as all it adds is a generic shield dude as a class, a generic desert area that is already in every other arpg and it rips off D3 rifts and fails because they end up being slow as fuck due to Grim Dawn's boring ass nature.
The new mobility runes don't even help speed up the game as they're just really clunky instead of adding badly needed flow to the game. The teleport rune for example just lets your character quickly run to a point you would've gotten to in a second anyway instead of ACTUALLY teleporting since it doesn't work on different z-levels or to get behind obstacles.

>Not an argument
Not him but anyone who starts a rant like that can safely be disregarded since all you wanna do is have the last word to feel better.

Also, you're pretty damn late to try to shitpost about a game that's been received overwhelmingly positive by genre veterans and fans

>all stash tabs full of legendary items
>boy, can't wait to check forums and see what crazy builds i can make with all these
>pretty much no build uses any of these
Alright then. Almost started to think rng was smiling at me for once.

Attached: .jpg (480x270, 44K)

shammy/occultist, skellies die too easily

>it lets you be faster therefore it's useless because you would've gotten there anyway
This is the most try hard nonsense I have read in some time. Congratulations.

An updated version was made, and even more recently than that someone figured out the actual order
First "-Y% Resistance" additive debuff,
then "Z% Reduced" multiplicatively,
and last "X Reduced" Additive.

try using your own brain for once user

>leveling feels slow, killing mobs feels unsatisfying and builds feel boring.
None of this is actually true and your points are literally just subjective impressions

yikes
why are you here?

It doesn't let you be faster, that's the entire point. It's like you didn't fucking read anything I wrote.

those builds are min/maxed and grinded out the optimal gear. just make your own builds using your gear and better gear will come
if you have lots of legendaries, I promise you can make something powerful enough for whatever you want to do

d3 is by far the most satisfying arpg to play, theres no other one close to the amazing feedback of every blow and skill.
i would love if grimdawn had that.

Torchlight II

I want to play a pet build, is it actually fun or boring as dirt? Shaman/occulist or necro/occulist?

does this even matter if youre not using a controller?
the build variety in D3 is babby tier than what you can make in grim dawn tho

It matters cause that's the entire point of the genre. There's no point in playing an arpg if killing trash mobs feels like shit cause that's what you do for 99% of the game.

im not talking about build variaty, or armor effects, grphics or whatever, im talking about the feedback you get every time you use a skill or attack and you hit someone. theres no other arpg thats even close to how good it feels that in diablo 3. i like grimdawn a lot more. but if diablo 3 did something right is that part

I think there are more reasons than that why grim dawn might not be the game for you

lmao, sacred 2 is garbage. If you want to play Sacred you stick to the first game faggot

>is it actually fun or boring as dirt?
how the fuck would someone else know what you find fun you fucking retard. Holy shit this fucking place is steam community forum tier. How the fuck are people this stupid

>I missed a grim dawn thread
FUCK I WANTED TO ASK WHAT TO PAIR WITH MY SOLDIER

Necromancer.

OKAY BUT WHAT DO I SKILL INTO AS NECRO
I'VE JUST BEEN MAXING FORCE WAVE AND THE SKILLS ATTACHED TO IT AND JUST ASS RAPING EVERYTHING WITH A 2HANDER

Soldier
Demolitionist
Warder
Literally anything goes well with soldier, just like inquisitor, it depends on what skills/ damage types you like

I want to destroy everything with a fuck off sized weapon and zoom across the map. That or be unkillable.

> soldier/oathkeeper
Shit is so busted you can spin and not give a fuck about anything until the hardest content

Do
Reach lvl 19 and fully spec into eye of reckoning, grab field command and it’s upgrade and 1 point into warcry, oathkeeper has a summon, put 1 point into it and max the -phys tesis aura. After that just grab any physical damage passive and 1-2 mobility skills
Defensive passive skills are self explanatory but start grabbing em after 40

You can do that with every class already

Although i despise D3 for what it did to the franchise, I gotta agree the combat is fluid and smooth

can someone describe the class playstyles for me?

grimdawn.com/forums/showthread.php?t=74487
And then you can spec it into a bunch of different setups later.
Keynotes for lazy:
>Cadence once Forcewave starts to drop off or you can get enough constituent parts to get the setup going and drop Forcewave
>The usual shit from Soldier
>Cap Necro investment at 40 Mastery, cause you don't need any of the capstones
>All you really want is Spectral Binding, Ill Omen, and Mark of Torment
>At some point, you can respec a bit for Vit and take shit like Reaping Strike (it's a good 1-point wonder to help sustain early on as well)
>Can farm most content to get the gooder gear

I can agree with this. Destroying hordes of monsters feels good in D3. In Grim Dawn not so much.
Grim Dawns sound effects are also total weaksauce.

>just got eye of killeverything
jesus christ they're definitely gonna nerf this aren't they?
>huge damage
>cheap as fuck cost
>moving while spinning
and finally the biggest one
>5 (FIVE) fucking attack per second, procing literally everything in every second.

It's a shit genre so even a "good" ARPG is shit.

>Soldier
You are the tank. It's picked in the large bulk of setups because it has the best defensive bonuses in general.
>Demolitionist
Use a variety of explosive weapons to rain death on your foes.
>Occultist
Use summons or occult magics to tear your foes apart.
>Nightblade
You're a dick-ass assassin. Stab shit to death.
>Arcanist
The elements are yours to command. Make the world understand your power.
>Shaman
The spirits are yours to command. Rend the world with endless energies.
>Inquisitor
Punish the heretics with magically-enhanced weaponry and traps. Guns are fun!
>Necromancer
Your allies shall not be denied the fight even in death. Help them tear apart them all.
>Oathkeeper
Bring your hatred down upon the unworthy. (I don't know much about them tbqh.)
Now go back and pick 2 of them.

Since the slower pace of Gd is one of my biggest gripes, having a skill that lets me kill on the move is great.
They probably nerf warlord somehow, rest are ok

How is spellbreaker nowadays? Haven't played in awhile

Mirror cd nerfs make its paper-thin defenses even more squishy but not much has changed about its extremely glassy damage output. Just really fucking difficult to build unless you're a luckchad with both alkamos rings already in the bag

...

Hm, maybe something else then. Was thinking maybe a Paladin or a Purifier, know anything about those?

No clue about the synergies between inquisitor but you literally cannot go wrong with any inq build and purifiers are the staple ranged killing machines. Pretty cheap to build considering all you need is a gun in each hand

between inquisitor & oathkeeper I meant to say

Anybody try Last Epoch?

Does the game still have level scaling ? That's the only reason I didn't play it before. It doesn't make sense that the more you play/level up/grind, the harder it is to kill mobs. The litteral opposite of what a RPG should do.

yes
