No just don't waste money on cosmetics. You can get every weapon in the game for less than a dollar. Just use scrap.tf and get some refined. Refined is 0.04 cents and with that you get 12 weapons. Some classes like scout stock is the best but with engineer and spy you will want some weapons for alt playstyles. You can get the best weapons in the game for each class and spend less than 0.10 cents.

Mannconomy was the beginning of the end for the game and Valve as a whole. Everything after just pissed on the grave, especially MyM.

The game is still very playable but all of the best community servers have since died, unless you count the Yea Forums party van but I don't know who would be masochistic enough to want to play with anyone from shit faggoty board.

The only fun I manage to get out of the game is joining on of the community 24/7 payload insta respawn servers. The matchmaking push truly killed the game because not only is it exactly how you describe it, but because it's what all new players are told to use they join a shitty matchmade game and decide the game is shit and never play again.

Problem with the payload servers is that there's like 2 and they are full all day.

It's hard to get into because the default setting suck

Also never use the mann co store. If you want to upgrade to premium then get a key and trade it for cosmetics for your main class.
