It’s sword moveset is actually pretty good, and the dagger one is really fast. It’s real weakness is that it’s scaling isn’t that impressive and the dlc weapons blow it away in usefulness

You don't need to reach a high skill level to play him effectively since he has unlimited air time, busters, enemy shield, heals, one shot arm, punchline, etc

You could implement fucking Cavaliere's entire moveset into the bringers with a spectral ghost bike but that doesn't matter or change anything about how they actually function right now you spastic.

Before 5 was announced it was widely regarded 2 was after 4. 5 and its novel blew any chance of that being the case way the fuck out of the water.
And why is that? I want to know what led him to change his attitude. People shit on DMC2 and it's story, fair enough, but Dante in it fascinates me, and I can't help but wonder if they ever planned on explaining his attitude change.

DMC1 > Anime > DMC2 > DMC4 shows a Dante who over the course of just two to three years ends up rather morose and depressed after killing his corrupted brother "for good" and tying up all of the loose ends regarding family matters with Mundus. His dialogue in the beginning of DMC1 shows that he is driven by finding the demon that killed his mother. Once he knocked that goal off, he had nothing left driving him.
It was only after he had a nice vacation in hell and learned of Nero did he perk back up again.

I think I'll miss dmc2 inexplicably being the series endpoint. Game is shit but I enjoyed the aura of mystery around it when trying to make sense out of it. The grim prospect that, no matter how crazy Dante could get, he was fated to end up in that game.

Where does it say this in the novel? Trying to find the line in the Google docs summary, regardless, makes sense. So is it safe to assume he was in his depressed state in the anime and 2? The question is what happened between 2 and 4 to bring him back.

In BTN it says it's been 10 years seen he was on dumarey. At the end of DMC2 Lucia is at DMC and you can hear Dantes motorcycle, and in the novel it says that it was Dante and Lucia and him made up, but he got a call with the password and had to leave. OK, so DMC5 takes place 5 years after 4, so there is still a 5 YEAR GAP between 2 and 4.

Quality wise it was pretty alright with some good animation sequences every now and then, but the writing was tacky and I hope to god the writer isn't involved with the DMC one whatsoever.

I really want Dante/Nico. She's the only one who actually suits his personality. I think it was really cute how she was really excited and posing with him for the dance. They could live in a shitty place, tinker with devil arms, and make stupid jokes together.

I don't feel like they could make a new DMC game without Nero. He's way in way too deep, both in story and fun factor. I also think they can't make another DMC game without at least one of the brothers up front, and the other one needs to be unlockable.
